Can anyone compare Disney Kids club VS Another cruise line?

I think some of it depends on the child thmeselves. My sister's kids much prefer DCL over Carnival and my borther's kids love the Carnival clubs.

Our first cruise was on the Wonder--DS was 7 turning 8 the day we got off the ship. He absolutely loved the Lab!! There were lots of activites in and out of the club. He loved flubber, activites on the sports deck, some volcano activity, dinner with his friends one night, and of course the video games. The counselors were great with the kids. Our pager never went off LOL. Last year we went on Carnival. While overall we loved the cruise--had a blast--Camp Carnival was disappointing. Many of the activites were more quiet arts and crafts type things and DS spent very limited time in the club. He did like the scavenger hunts (unsupervised) and a hip hop dance class. He went maybe 2 or 3 times and every time I went to see if he wanted to leave, he very willingly left. I didn't care--he was my date every night at the shows and we'd always stop late at night to get a snack before bed. According to DS the counselors yelled alot and wern't as involved with the kids as on DCL. We're on the Dream next April and DS is excited for the tween club and all of the activities on DCL!!

P.S I did meet a single mom on the ship though whose DS (in the 10-12 age group) pretty much abandoned her for Camp Carnival.
