This is our first DCL cruise and we just got our room assignments today!! :cool1:

I cannot seem to find much information or reviews on our room #s. They only negative I see is they are above Animators. Should we expect it to be pretty noisy during dining hours? I do plan on packing a sound machine so I am not that worried about noise but would like to know what to expect.

Will there be any way for the 2 rooms to connect via balcony? Are the balconies different or does it just appear that way on the deck plans? I noticed between rooms 5144 and 5146 there are notches in the walls. Are those the storage trucks? And if so will we not have one in room 5148?

Any speculation or comments would be great from DCL veterans-our excitement is building and I want to know everything I can!! :)

Did you check the room reviews under the "Staterooms" tab in the red banner above? Be sure to check under the Magic as well (identical ships) if your room # isn't listed under the Wonder.

None of the classic ship staterooms allow for the between stateroom verandah access like the Dream class do.

I did check the reviews on the boards and there was not a whole lot! The only one for 5146 was for the Magic from 2005 and it said the balcony was smaller than usual and had standing rain water that had to be cleaned every time it rained or it was unuseable :( We are only a family of 4 sharing the two cabins, so if the balcony is larger on 5148 we would still be very happy and not even need to use the balcony on 5146!

Has anyone stayed in either of these rooms.. Please Help!!

The more I read online the less and less I look forward to our cruise. I have seen multiple reviews that mentioned flooding even into the cabin-they were all older and for the Magic, so I am crossing my fingers that will not be an issue!!

Many reviews also say the verandah is not useable or wide enough to even sit on and that the room in general is smaller. I paid for a 7A GTY, but now I wish I had the 7A!!I even found my cabin number listed under a thread titled worst verandahs on the Wonder :( :(

We just got assigned the same rooms but I'm happy with the rooms so far. I've heard all good things about this location even though I read the verandah's may be a little smaller...

There are no verandahs on the Wonder or the Magic that fit that description. The only verandahs that are considered "undersized" are on the Dream and Fantasy. As for "room in general is smaller"... smaller compared to what, exactly? Does the reviewer say? They might be comparing that room to a higher category, which is not a fair comparison. Unlike the Dream class ships, most of the rooms on the Magic class ships are pretty uniform for size within number categories, and the letter only refers to location (except for E class rooms, which indicate a smaller room with a larger verandah).

I've been on the Wonder four times and am going on her again in May. You will have a GREAT time.

Here is the deck plan to better visualize the curve referenced in the review: http://www.cruisecritic.com/disney-wonder-deck-plans/dp/?shipID=149&deck=5

I stayed in 5142 on the magic and loved the room. I'm not sure if its the same size as 5146/5148 but we had 2 adults 1 child, there was plenty of room, it had the storage trunk and the verandah fit 2 chairs and a small table comfortably, these rooms are whitewall verandah rooms so you have to stand if you want to look out over the water which suited me. The location was great no noise whatsoever, no foot traffic, convenient for the movie theatre/kids clubs and aft elevators.

Hope that helps, not the wonder but I believe the ships are the same :goodvibes
