My mum wants to get her hair done for the wedding and was talking about going to Walmarts to have it done ..( do they do this service at walmarts? ).

The Grand Floridian has a salon (I think!!)

There's bound to be someone (who will post soon) who knows of a regular hairdresser in Orlando.

If they do do hair at Walmarts aren't you running the risk of it being like a supercuts cut!?!!!!

Was just about to say that! I have booked Beaute Special to come for a trial for our October trip, and all being well will book her for our wedding. She has a great reputation on here, she travels to your hotel room/villa :thumbsup

I used Anna from make over majic and would not recommend her. My mum had her hair done at walmart and they did a really good job! She got her hair dresser in the UK to take back and front pic when she had just had it styled, then took these with her.
It was a bargain price and stayed in all day.

Our friend, Vernon (who used to be a moderator on the UK forums) now lives in Orlando. His wife, Jana (also a longtime DISer) has recently opened a salon, Envy, in Posner Park which is a new shopping complex in Davenport.

We popped into see Jana on our way back to Tampa airport this year. Although none of us required a haircut before getting on the flight , the salon looked very nice.

My wife had her hair done in a Walmart last September and it was awful. It would have been fine if the year was 1982 but it was 2008. Never again.
Only now can she even laugh about it.
