Can a renter call DVC to confirm a reservation?

Can I (or my friend) call DVC to check to confirm that she has the right reservation if she is renting points from someone else?
 
No. DVC Member Services will only talk to the owner.

Once the owner provides you the reservation number, though, you can go to www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc to confirm everything is correct.

Ugh, thats what I thought. :( My friend's reservation is there with her confirmation number, but there needed to be changes made--wrong last name, add dining plan and magical express. The owner said those changes were made, but the website confirmation still shows it as the original information with no changes. I was wondering if maybe the confirmation number changes because of the changes and it wouldn't be under the original one she gave?

If there was a new reservation number, the old one would not still show her trip. If the owner made the changes, she should be getting the printed confirmation soon and can send a copy to your friend.

Other than that, she just has to give it time or contact the owner back to verify that things have indeed been changed.

Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate it. It's just frustrating that the changes don't show up online and she says it was done 1.5 weeks ago. Does she actually get a new printed confirmation with the name change?

She should. Everytime we have changed our reservation to add the dining plan, I got one.

I would give it another week or so and then have your friend call the member back and tell her it is not working and it is causing an issue for booking CRT and to see if she can verify that it has been added.
