Can a PTR be therapeutic?YUP!!Addictive?**2/14-I'm home...**

Wow! 20 days left, J. How excited you must be.

I just read where they're closing Epcot for the month of February. Anybody have more info on this?

Definatley pusher. Jordan is a travel size, toiletries pusher!!

ETA: I mean pushes travel size toiletries. Not that Jordan is travel size!

I'm so glad you clarified! At first I thought it was some kind of Asian height reference, and I was like "That is so not PC...";) :lmao:

Jordan - - give me some advice - - - we are going to OKW in March until the end of April. I am thinking of surprising my husband with a short three day cruise on the Magic or Wonder at the end of our time at OKW.

Here are my dumb questions - - do we need formal dinner clothes, i.e. tux

Are three days worth it?

Porthole or Balcony - - -

Your opinion please!!

First, you must have a lot of points.....

A 3 day is nice, but 4 day is better....I wouldn't turn down any DCL.

You don't need a tux for formal night. Just nice clothes. A coat and tie will do. I can't even remember if the 3 day has a formal night. If they don't, then a nice dress shirt or polo will do for dinners. Disney is pretty informal which I actually like.

On a 3 day I don't know how much time you'd be spending on the balcony especially since if you've never been. It's nice though to start and end your day on the balcony.

I know it's late in the game, but no one has commented on this so I'm going to.

There is no formal night on the 3- or 4-day cruises. Only on the 7+ day cruises. The only occasion you'd have to dress up is if you decide to dine at Palo on the 3- or 4-day cruise, and even then - like Jordan said - a coat/tie is sufficient. No tux required.

3 days if you've never been on a a cruise is good - only because if you get seasick you don't want to be stuck on a boat for a week. However, if you enjoy it - it'll fly by. Warning - once you start going longer, you'll find it hard to go back... we've done 3-, 4-, 7-, 10-day cruises... and I don't think I could ever go back to a 3- or 4-day one now. It would be like spending a day at WDW - way too short to enjoy it fully.

We always enjoy the balcony, but partly because you can enjoy the ocean air without leaving our room (but really, anyone can go out on deck for the same enjoyment if they so wished), and if our kids are sleeping or something we can watch them and still be "outside." However, porthole rooms, or even the Navigator's Verandah (the "poor man's balcony room") are much cheaper than standard verandah rooms, so if that's an issue, you might go that way. Some people if they have young kids go that route for safety's sake (can't fall out of a sealed porthole).

HTH, and enjoy!

:lmao: After seeing you post on numerous PTR's and TR's, I decided to take a gander at your PTR. I've only made it through scrolling down the first page, but I am dying from the pictures!! You all have FUN! :)

I'll be back tomorrow to read through properly ;)

Yeah, I agree, that photo is from the end of the movie when he is looking at Elizabeth and son...hmmmmmmm.... yeah, he looks good there.....jumpin'through the screen sounds good...

Didn't know that about the "hot elf"-well, it fits!!

Jordan may be pushin' travel size, but I am pushin' freebie travel size!! Love those freebie boards-it has gotten so bad that when I go to the travel sized section of Walmart or whereever, I think, "no, I can get it off the freebie boards"!!! My DH travels often so we have all the shampoo/conditioner/lotion/mouth wash you could ever want, BUT toothpaste and deodorant and razors and even shave gel and meds, come in those handy TSA-happy sizes. Now I have slacked off a LOT and haven't gone there since b/f Christmas, but what I have gotten has been for the trip and DH has used some for his travel too-so I will continue to do that!!

22 days for me!!

Lori

When I was on vacation last summer, my travel companion need toiletries. They were selling the same freebie deoderant I'd brought for $2.29. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I see you're from Conn.

My brother just bought a place in Conn. They're moving this summer. I'll probably go visit them this summer....

Why on earth would anyone (besides a celebrity) move, on purpose, to CT? I'm trying to get OUT of here! This has got to be the crappiest state in the nation! We have, like, the 2nd or 3rd highest state taxes, and there is NOTHING to do here! Unless you like farms.... and road construction :confused3

Simba-LOVE your siggy-he's a hotty! I think he looked great as a blonde too in LOTR!! I called him the "hot elf"!

Oh Jordan, is this your PTR!!!;) sorry, uuumm........ forgot............... looking at Simba's siggy and all......got sidetrackedpirate: ... OKay well, then , off to schoolin'!!

For a second I thought you were talking about me....:rolleyes1

I've heard of the freebies threads and I've vowed not to get addicted.....so I stay away.

Way cool. We are much different here on the good side of the country. :) Youll love it over here. I saw you mention NYC in another thread.

I am headed there tonight with my daughter and mom. Taking the train in for a few nights to explore. It will be my daughters first trip to the city.

Have a great time.:thumbsup2

We actually bought 2 cans of that spray on sunscreen for our October trip. It actually worked out really well. It feels sticky for a few minutes while it dries but it kept me from getting sunburnt and it didn't wear off or feel greasy.

I forgot about the spray kind....my cousin has that kind of sunscreen...maybe I should run out and buy some right now.....;)

LoL I think EVERYONE called him that! He looks great all the time - but my favorite is DEFINITELY PotC 3 - Holy Cow if I could jump through that movie screen.....

Apparently you and Lori have someONE in common.:rolleyes1

20 days!!!! :cheer2:  :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: party:
