Can a PTR be therapeutic?YUP!!Addictive?**2/14-I'm home...**

:rotfl2: You are a hot Asian version of my hubby! :lmao: :rotfl:

I wasn't really into college sports, but since most of the Young Adults I work with at church are into them...I've been converted as well. Many Saturdays this fall were spent on the couch on the laptop watching college football.:confused3 :confused3

Now THAT"S an idea. I'm surprised MR MEAT himself, MDF, didn't come up with that one.

I seriously laughed hard at this one...thanks...great way to start my day.:thumbsup2

I am disapointed he dropped the ball on that one as well.

Glad I could help you out this morning jordan

MORE PEOPLE!?!?! :scared1: :faint:

Ok, I agree with the people who suggested that you give them your plans and let them plan accordingly. It's almost impossible to plan for people who may or may not be there on any given day and/or time. I would actually forward the dining plans to Joanne and let her give them tot he other family members to see if any of the ideas appeal to them and if they want to try to get ADR's to join you. The last thing you want is for them to want to have dinner with everyone on a planned babysitting day or something where things owuld potentially get ugly with the changing of plans.

It's a VERY GOOD THING you are so patient and understanding. I bet you're an awesome youth leader.

College hoops, huh?

Oh and I admit, I am a Football follower...and World cup soccer. I am RABID during the world cup. DH laughed at me, and then I explained what's going on, now he loves the world cup, too. I also like to watch the European premier league cup, and English premier league "football". DH's brother lives in London, and is on a waitlist to get tickets. The weekend he does, I am hopping a flight, just to go to a game. Mortgage be darned!

I used to be more rabid about Hockey when I got my team's games on regular TV (I like the Red WIngs). Now that I live back in NY, I am more of a playoff/big games follower.

Anyway, good luck!!

:grouphug: :cheer2:

I know I shouldn't laugh at your problem but................:lmao: :rotfl2:

If someone did that to me there would be definate weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth!

I think my exact words would have been................."you've got to be freakin kidding me!"

I'd tell her she's on her own for dinner those nights. Do like Nancy Reagan, and just say NO!..................or was the Barbra Bush???

I had Center Ice last season. I love hockey and had a mini plan last year. Saw most of the playoff games live and only missed the game when the Ducks finally won the Cup.....

Never have been into soccer unless I'm with my friends from the UK...

I'll see what I can get done today as far as ADRs go

Yikes! finally all caught up - I've been MIA - moving my kids in - busy holiday season for my business - sorry.

High BP? Jordan - take care of yourself! Glad your doc is getting you straightened out.

ADR confusion - Good Grief! What do these people expect you to do :confused3 They probably don't realize how far in advance you have to plan if you want to do anything special. Your patience and creativity with Wendy sounds like it will work, and someone will be happy to have your cancellations if you change any of them at the last minute!:thumbsup2

Keep getting better!

Tammie,

Glad you dropped by.

Yeah, still don't feel 100%, but getting there.....I'm breathing much better.

ADR confusion making me tired.......

WHAT? MORE PEOPLE GOING?

So today I had the chance to talk w/ one our Cast Of Characters going in Feb. Joanne is her name and messing w/ our plans is her game.

So here's what a bit of our conversation was like

Joanne: Hey Jordy, thanks so much for doing all this work for the trip....

Me: No problem.

Joanne: So where are we eating?

Me: We're trying to go to some new places this year...

Joanne: Will it be hard to add my friend and her family to reservations?

Silence

Joanne: I think they will be coming one or two days.

Silence

Joanne: I'm really not sure what days they'll be coming.

Silence

Joanne: One day they'll probably come by themselves and one day they'll probably come with their kids....

Silence

Joanne: Is that going to be a problem?

Silence

Joanne: Jordy?

Silence

Joanne: Jordy?

My roommate gets on phone: Joanne, I don't know what you said, but Jordan just ran out of the house screaming.....Wait...he's tearing his clothes...there's gnashing of teeth.....

Continued in next post......

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

So during the silence, were you more like  or more like  or was it more like :faint: ?

WHAT? CONTINUED

So after I came back inside, I finished my conversation w/ Joanne; wished her a Merry Xmas and hung up.......

Okay so you know the ADR confusion? Well just multiply that by 100...:scared1:  :headache: :scared:

So now we have a family of four that will be coming to visit from offsite 1 or 2 days. We don't know what days they'll be coming or if they'll all be coming or just the parents....For a person who likes to plan, this lack of solid knowledge is like, it's like...well, you know what it's like......

When I talked to Wendy, we both decided that I would make some ADRs on my own separate from the ones she made for us. I would expect that we would have a better idea of what's going on a few weeks out from our trip. At that time we would be able to consolidate ADRs........

The problem in making additional ADRs is the fact that for any given ADR, I don't know for sure at this time how many people will be eating together. It can be as few as 4 and as many as 14.....What do think the chances of getting an ADR for 14 at Le Cellier are? Okay, you can stop laughing......

I know if I think this through that I can figure something out that is equitable for all involved, but it is past midnight and it's time for me to get to bed.....

Wish me luck................................

Oh wow, no way!!!!!:scared1: Sorry, just catching up on your TR again. I can't believe you've got more people coming now. Good luck! Glad you are starting to feel better. Off to read more.....

I need a miracle.

I think I'm going to opt w/ most advice given and just say they're on their own when they're friends come. I will make some extra ADRs, but not too many. I

I think that's a good idea. No one in their right mind would expect you to get adr's for extra people. Esp. not knowing exactly when or how many people.
