Can a PTR be therapeutic?YUP!!Addictive?**2/14-I'm home...**

Hey Jordan! Instead of taking a nap with the Princess I just spent the last few hours catching up on your PTR. I am loving your style.

I believe Heather was hiding this report from me so I wouldn't stop posting on hers! :rotfl:

So sorry about the deaths in your family. I hope that you find peace through prayer and bible study. And for the record my father is a minister too!

You have, and I thank you profusely. I am drinking a brew right now in your honor Heather. It's a Widmer Hefeweizen......:thumbsup2

If you haven't heard on the news, we have over a dozen fires going on in Southern Cal, we can't go outside because of the smoke and ash...

Are you drinking your Hefeweizen with a lemon?

Alas, no lemon.

The fires are CRAZY. No where near where we are. However, in San Diego alot of people I used to work w/ at Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes were evacuated.:scared1:

Heavy smell of smoke in the air.

Any plans to evacauate in your area??? I hope all of this is far from you. I have been watching some coverage on MSNBC... Scary stuff. I'll be praying for all the residents and firemen....

Nope. The closest fire is about 15 miles south of us in the Irvine area.
We know several people affected by the fires around Southern Cal. This is the worst I've ever seen. We have alot of downed trees in our neighborhood. The wind was CRAZY yesterday:scared1:

Stay safe, Jordan!

I saw on the news that those Santa Ana winds are blowing embers far and wide! Very scary....

We're fine where we are. Thanks for the:hug: . Goofster57 and I live in pretty close proximity to each other and it would have to be like the end of the world for the fires to get to where we are.

Thanks again for the concern...believe it or not...more family emergencies..I'm still trying to decide whether or not to share what's going on now....:sad1:

It's wierd watching the news and talking to friends on the phone. San Diego seems to be the most dangerous as of 9pm PST. Lots of friends and a few cousins in that area.:scared:

So okay...I was debating whether or not I should share the latest news. I decided what the heck. I am pretty much an open book here.

So you know my uncle died on Thursday evening/Friday morning....well, I found out from my dad that his cousin (around 75 years old) died of a heart attack on Thursday. I don't know that side of my family at all, but my parents were fairly close to them. I feel for my parents.

A little over a week ago my "aunt" (my SIL's aunt) fell and hit her face. She broke a bone in around her eye. She's 85, but in fairly good health. I've helped her out the last 3 years by cleaning her house every 2 weeks. We would always talk current events. She seemed to be up on politics. So we would always debate the latest news. I would stop by her house and bring her contraband (baskin robbins). We became very close over the last few years. Therefore, she became like an aunt to me.

I went to visit her on this past Wednesday. Her face was Jacked up pretty bad, but she seemed coherent and in good spirits.

On Friday, she was back in the hospital. She was disoriented and having problems going to the restroom. They tried all these procedures and finally she was able to go on Saturday. However, Sunday morning she stopped breathing. They revived her and put her on oxygen. She continued to decline rapidly. She passed away on Monday morning. It was really out of left field. I had just seen her and although injured, she seemed okay......

So I'm waiting for another funeral......crazy huh?

I'm just speechless (I know that's hard to believe;) )

So starting in Dec 06:

Friend's Dad
Aunt in Feb
Cousin in March
Cousin in May
Roommate's brother in late May
SIL in June
Friend's brother early August
Aunt in late August
Uncle in October
Dad's Cousin in October
"Aunt" in October

Don't know what else to say. I feel I've kind of used up my sympathy points here....thanks for your

I need that vacation NOW!!!!
