Can a dewormer tablet make a dog throw up?

Sorry, not a pleasant subject!
We gave our new rescue pup his second dose of dewormer & he got sick a few times after he ate. Nothing but his food in it, but I'm hoping it was just the medication? Anyone else have this happen to their dog?

BTW, she is such a sweetie pie, I'll try to figure out how to post a pic!

Keep an eye on him...it could be anything. Eating too fast maybe. Chemical wormers are low doses of poison, but there are too many unknowns here. Try not to worry about it.

Yup. I have had it happen before. Do you think the dog has worms or are you doing it as a preventative?

I was just talking to my mom yesterday. She had given my sister's Yorkie a heartworm pill after he'd eaten and he got sick all over the porch.

She was going to call the vet and see if he needs another pill and if he should take it on an empty stomach??
