Well this is more of a ride report than a full blown trip report- but here goes anyway. My 6yo daughter has decided she is really into roller coasters now. Saturday it was Space Mountain for the first time- and today it was Expedition Everest.
Here she is in the queue- my big girl! No fear even with us teasing her about the Yeti a little. (And I am very honest with her about these rides BTW- telling her it goes backwards, it feels like you are upside down, etc. No 'Don't worry abou it - its fine' from me.)
Riding without holding on is always a big deal for her on the Barnstormer, Big Thunder Mountain, and Test Track- and I think she did it most of the way on Space Mountain also- so she is determined to do it here too. Here is us pulling away from the ride start. She wanted to sit by her 14yo cousin- not me
Here is one going up the mountain as the sun is coming over it. We got there early and the stand-by was only 20min so we went ahead and got straight on.
Here is another I thought was interesting on the way 'up'- pardon my arm in the shot
And here we are at the top of the world. I think the picture says it all- particularly the eyes.
And here we are screaming backwards down the mountain- post Yeti sighting I think. Not exactly sure where her hands are now
And safe on the ground a few seconds later- telling Mom (who will never ever ride it) all about it. Mom did pick her up an Everest Pin for her collection but I forgot to get a picture of it. She was a hapy camper.
She loved it so much we went and got fast passes to ride it again in the afternoon- but sadly it was broken down when we returned with some folks stranded at the top. Maybe next time.
I guess next we will be setting our sights on the Rn'R & ToT...
