First, we want to say hello since we're new to the board.

We were just wondering what kind of signs folks put up in their campsites (i.e., with family name, etc.) and if anyone has pictures. We're getting ready for our trip to Fort Wilderness and we're trying to decide what kind of sign to put up. Thanks for any info or photos.
:earsboy: :earsgirl:

I've seen all sorts of wooden (carved and painted ones) signs. I don't have one of those signs--just lots of other cheesy decorations!

We got a wooden sign with our family name on it carved in Frontierland! My husband ordered it as a surprise....don't get me wrong, I love it, but I can not figure out why he didn't put Mickey icons on it! (he choose the jumping dolphins)

Welcome PetLoopers

We have seen many signs and wanted to do something different.
My wife made a front window curtain for our RV. On the passenger side we have the DVC logo in the logo colors and on the drivers side we have our first names and last name around a large Mickey head with little Mickey heads all around them.
She also made wiper covers with a Minnie on the left cover and a Mickey on the right cover.

I just wanted to say Welcome to the DIS! :Pinkbounc :sunny: :Pinkbounc

We have a wooden sign shaped like a 5th wheel camper. Our name is carved in it................................

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. :sunny: Lots of neat ideas out there (even the dolphins :teeth: ). We're trying to make a sign right now to take with us, and we were curious about the signs you folks put out. We're putting our family name plus our DIS board name, so if you see the Petloopers in a few weeks stop by and say "hey." :wave2:

We have a seasonal site in upstate NY...and we are from Long Island..we have a small boat oar with our last name on it..indicating we are from L.I. I have hesitated to use anything that indicates our name...whether we are seasonally camping or nightly camping... finally put this out last year... I worried about revealing our names especially the names of our kids to strangers...who might use that information to gain the confidence of children. My kids are now 13 and 17...so I'm not as worried...and try not to be paranoid...(can you tell I'm from NY?)...but the younger one is very social...and is everywhere when we camp...(have to hunt him down) try to keep reminding him he still needs to be careful...just because you're on vacation you still need to use good sense. I know it seems crazy...but I don't like to reveal the names of my kids even when making a Disney reservation...as I'm sure they are fine people...I'm not sure who else may have access to this information. I generally give their names upon check in. They usually check with a supervisor...and then say it's fine.
