Does anyone know off the top of their head if the Trading post sells propane canisters for coleman/MSR stoves? I remember that they sell white fuel.

I am aircamping and was going to bring a MSR pocket rocket with me. You can't bring canisters with you on an airplane. You can't bring liquid fuel stoves (even if they are clean and empty) on an airplane. My best bet is to bring the pocket rocket with me and then try to buy fuel down there. I won't have a car so I am hoping I could get it at the meadows or at Goodings which I can bus/walk to.

The canisters are small and round with a valve on top. coleman ones are green but I don't care about the brand. Has anyone seen these at either place?

Yes, the Trading Post sells one pound propane containers. They are not Coleman brand, but they are the standard 1 lb. size- they fit on my propane camp stove and lantern. I believe they charge $6.75 for the canister! I can usually get 3 for $10 at home.

Thanks -

$6.75 is expensive but 1 lb will last me the whole week and I will have some left. It is also cheaper than what I would get fined if I tried to bring one on the airplane :confused3
