Camera Question

We just returned from a week at Disney. I took my DSLR and a point and shoot. I carried the DSLR 6 of the 7 days and on the one day I didn't take it, i wish I had taken it. I found carrying the camera to not be much of a problem. I got a quality strap (Crumpler Industry Disgrace, love it) and it was fine.

We also bought photo pass + so we could all be in some of the pictures. I found that combination to be perfect.

I'm a professional photographer and I have simply gotten used to carrying my DSLR all over. If you have more than one lens I would suggest bringing the one you use most. PhotoPass photographers will happily take pictures for you with your camera for free so you aren't left out of pictures. Maybe invest in a cushy strap? I also organize my backpack so my DSLR is in the compartment closest to my back and on top, easily accessible there and less likelihood for damage. This way you can carry it without having it around your neck all the time! Hope this helps. ;)

Love both ideas !!! Thank you so much :)

My Dslr is almost always with me, but, I decided one day to take the point and shoot to the park. I missed so many pictures!!! The camera was so SLOW! and my dd was so used to me taking shots with the good camera that, she moved before the point and shoot clicked almost every time.

Never again!
