Camcorder Help

I really wanted to get a new camcorder for our up coming DCL/WDW vacation and i have no idea which type get.

I was looking at a DVD one, but i am a little concern because each disk only holds 30 mins. Then i thought about the minidv, but i can not find one with all the features of a DVD one!

So please help, we leave in 12 days and i need some advice on what to get.

I just stopped using a DVD one for that and other reasons. The DVDs don't play in everything and they are unlikely to be able to be uploaded to a computer. Not sure what price you are considering, I went high-end, hard drive and high def, a Sony HDR-SR12. I am very pleased with it. I also read lots of good things about the mini dv camcorders. Last January I bought the Sony DCR SR 200 HDD and I just love it. I took it to Disney in April and it was so easy to use. The video comes out looking perfect, when I got home and showed my husband some of the video from the BBB of our DD he was amazed at how clear the picture was, and I have a 50 inch plasma. It is very very lightweight, and I found it perfect to take.

I check out www.bhphoto.com where I bought the camera from and it looks like they have update the model to the DCR SR 220. But it pretty much look like the same thing.

Oh and I was there for a week and never had to empty the video from the camera, it held hours and hours worth of video.
