Cam & Howard's Vow Renewal PJ -1/12/09 - WP&WH--p.98: TRIP REPORT BEGINS

We decided that the Lenox castle is something we could display forever in our home (it is on our shelves in our family room now, surrounded by Disney memorabilia and books & pix) so that made it a better choice for us than the chocolate castle.

We aren't doing dessert at our reception, so we thought 2 slices of cake -- very different flavors-- was a way to have the cake we want with no leftovers and no added expense for dessert that wouldn't be eaten or which would cause waste of the wedding cake. I am glad to answer any other questions you have. :goodvibes

Hi Cam! Thanks so much for the link to dye my crinoline. I hope it works, as I really want a pink one!!

Carly -- Thanks for the idea! I'll have to run that by Howard. We are doing the pre-reception out there and there will be tables set up for that. So, I don't know whether that would affect the availability at all.

Our cocktail hour was outside as well. Most of the tables they had set up went down the porch when it was over. We had highboys and cocktail tables all set up outside. enough for 45 people.
They moved all the guests inside, we were announced in, and then we ate dinner.
While we were inside, the re-arranged the outside so we could go back out. i think it worked out better than staying inside, especially since the reason we chose Whitehall was the patio! And there was just so much more room being able to go back and forth! Good Luck!

Thanks, Carly! This is reassuring because your pictures were gorgeous!

Well, in other news. I AM SO EXCITED!!! I am now the happy owner of a PINK crinoline!! It is so pretty!

Here are pix of the process, courtesy of my dear friend, Patty (pjstevens) and her very generous offering of her washer!

Sounds wonderful! :goodvibes
We're doing Cinderella's slipper and cake. I like the idea of the two flavors:thumbsup2
I worried about people not eating the cake if they had dessert. I decided the slippers were too good to pass up. :goodvibes

Will definitely look for pictures of your cake!:wizard:

Cam,

I had so much fun today! Thanks for letting me share in your fun! I am so touched that you would share this fun event with me.

P.S. thanks for taking me to the running store to get appropriate running shoes.

Just make sure you take pictures.
Of the dying process, and the look of concern on your faces b/c you're not absolutely sure how it will come out! :sad2:

Oh, the Kodak moments in our lives.....

WOW! The photos are GREAT, with no looks of concern anywhere to be seen...;)

And just think how the step by step instructions, with coordinating photos will help any future brides who want to dye their crinolines. They just have to click on your link.

I really like how the lace at the bottom came out darker, too.

Love the pink crinnie, still trying to play catch up with your pj but so far everything looks great. You look beautiful in the trial run pictures!!!

Hey Cam I'm so glad your dress fits!! You did so much hard work!! Everything is sounding so fabulous!!! It's getting so close!!!!

Welcome to the Pink Crinnie Club! It wasn't hard at all was it? It is going to look fabulous under your dress!

The crinnie turned out fabulous! I had wanted some color with my dress; I guess I should have added a crinoline underneath now that I've seen all of you ladies beautiful creations!

Yes, we tasted the slipper at our PS and it was way too delicious to pass up, but we are having an afternoon reception and I was so worried that it would be rich and people wouldn't eat cake. Or worse -- about 10 of our guests are flying home that evening and I didn't want anyone feeling ill on their flights due to too much sugar. So sad, though.

:goodvibes very pretty- congrats!:goodvibes

Cam---I love it!!!! It looks great..can't wait to see how it looks with your dress.

Ooh, I love the edges. That's going to look perfect under the dress!

Thank you so much, everyone! I am so glad that I got up the nerve to do it and that Patty was willing to help. We had such a great time, including Dunkin Donuts coffee ( :lovestruc ) and weight watchers muffins. LOL!

Vanessa -- I keep thinking of that exquisite blue color in your bouquet and I KNOW that if I knew that was going to be in my bouquet and my color theme wasn't limited to pink/yellow/gold/silver, I would have definitely gone with that really pretty blue. Especially if I had your gorgeous eyes!

Love the pink crinnie, still trying to play catch up with your pj but so far everything looks great. You look beautiful in the trial run pictures!!!
Thank you so much, Carolina! I still can't believe those pictures are me. My complexion has never been that clear and even in my life! :cutie:

Hey Cam I'm so glad your dress fits!! You did so much hard work!! Everything is sounding so fabulous!!! It's getting so close!!!!

Thank you so much, Val. It was such a terrifying prospect to me, to have paid that much for a gown and not have it fit. I still get goosebumps looking at the picture. It is definitely my dream gown. I'm not sure I'll ever want to take it off. Think I could wear it to the Cape May Buffet for our next-morning breakfast with my in-laws before they go home? :rotfl2: I mean, really! Why should I only get to wear that exquisite piece of clothing ONE DAY!?!?!??!!?

Thanks, Lisa! I am figuring that between the pink crinnie and the garter with the dangling hearts, it might just drive Howard a little crazy :lovestruc throughout the day. LOL!

I am already a little crazy with just the thought of:

A. The Dress
B. The Crinnie
C. The Garter
D. The Vows
E. The Venue
F. The Family and Friends present
G. The Food
H. The Honeymoon
I. The Tiara
J. The Hair & (un-needed) Make-Up
K. The "Blingy" Jewelry

But most of all I am a "little crazy" with just the thought of looking into Cam's teary gorgeous brown eyes and telling her I love her and that she is mine forever. :cloud9:  :lovestruc  :flower3: :faint:
