Cam & Howard's Vow Renewal PJ -1/12/09 - WP&WH--p.98: TRIP REPORT BEGINS

The hairstyle is beautiful and romantic. Really pretty! As for your husband........wow! He is the absolute best! How sweet to come up with those words and want to order a t-shirt.

Yes, can you imagine if he'd come up with something like "Been there. Done that." ? Or "Re-shackled"? :lmao: I am so, so blessed.

Cam,
That hairstyle is absolutely beautiful. Very soft and romantic, but also very elegant. YOu are not going to feel like a princess, you'll feel like the queen (the good kind :rotfl: )

Howard,
You are just the sweetest! Love the t-shirt.

Ya'll are so far ahead of me it's not even funny! I have my invitations, but I haven't started assembling them yet. I have stuff for welcome bags, but I'm not near as far along as you are. I'd better get busy! :rotfl2:

Keep writing Cam, I love your plans (even if I agree with Andrew about the Bare Necessities bags..unless of course you spell it Bear Necessities):lmao: Pictures! I want pictures!

Oh, an update on the "Bear Necessities" bags. I caved and went with a really cute graphic of Mowgli & Baloo hugging and it says "Bear Necessities Courtesy of _____". So, those labels are printed and I am just waiting for the mini sewing kits to come in and I can stuff the bags. I've decided I'll feel much better if I put the sunscreen & purell in a little ziploc bag together before putting them into the Bear Necessities bag. Since they'll be in storage for about 8 months, I don't want to take any chances at all on leakage.

My latest dilemma is what to put on the labels on the back of the dessert party favors. We are proceeding on the assumption that we'll be hosting a dessert party on 1-11 to watch WISHES fireworks. So, we have the clear plastic star pens with the tag attached with organza ribbon. The front of the tag says "Wishes Do Come True" but I was trying to come up with something clever for the back. Once I finalize those labels, those will be packed up for storage as well. :yay:

Thank you so much, ladies!

So, I have to share my DH's latest romantic blow-me-away :faint: gesture! Thanks to Lynne, I took a look at the customizedgirl website for personalized tee shirts. When I decided I wanted to order one, I told Howard about the website. Next thing I know, he's designed a shirt that he wants and it was ordered last night. Here is what he put on it:
FRONT:
The
Honeymoon
Never
Ended

BACK:
Cam's Prince
Marrying her once
was not enough.
12-22-84 and 1-12-09

He literally brought me to tears when he came up with the text. Isn't he the absolute best? :lovestruc He spoils me rotten with his endless devotion.

Oh Cam, that is so sweet of him! (Psssst, is there any way I can sign up my own husband to take some lessons with him? :rolleyes1 )

Thank you, Jeanne & Pat!
So, let's see. What's new?
Oh, I was a "hostage" to my remote email server last night because of an issue brewing on one of my cases, so while I was stuck in front of a computer, I split the screen and worked on the DP favor labels. Howard chose the saying for the back, I did all the labels, affixed them, finished up the remaining pens & got them all packed. YAY!!!

Tonight, I should be able to check and pack another significant item for the welcome bag, so that can also go into storage. I am keeping one of every item from the welcome bag at home, so that I can figure out what the welcome bag or box will be, based on what it has to hold.

So, progress is being made on the stuff that can be done even before we sign our contract, which is hopefully 4 weeks from today. :woohoo:

Cam. Hey girl! You have gotten much accomplished since my last visit!!! I know everything will turn out perfect!

I just love that hair style! It will be gorgeous!

And Howard's t-shirt...awww :lovestruc How sweet!!!

It seems everything is coming along great!!! Yay!

You won't be disappointed with the bare necessities kits, our guests loved them and people were using stuff out of them all week :thumbsup2 What image did you use of Mowgli?

The dessert party favors sound really cute. We ended up having glow necklaces and bracelets, which the kids really loved.

Howard is such a great guy, it sounds like he is so sweet to you :flower3:

Where did you find the graphics for the Bear Necessities labels.

Cam. Hey girl! You have gotten much accomplished since my last visit!!! I know everything will turn out perfect!

Thank you, sweetie! I have a feeling that come September or October, I will want to focus on training for the half marathon and will be grateful for every one of these things I get done ahead of time.

What image did you use of Mowgli?

Where did you find the graphics for the Bear Necessities labels.

I did a google search for free disney clipart and found disneyclips.com where you can search for images by movie or character. The image I used (which isn't showing up well enough when converted to a jpeg to load on shutterfly) has Baloo leaning back with Mowgli hugging him. It is really sweet.

Two of the other pieces that are done are:

The candles & matches are actually in the little box with some tissue paper.

And here are the gum packs:

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words about Howard. He has always been sweet to me, from the moment we met. I am so grateful that in the past 25+ years, he hasn't gotten out of the habit of spoiling me rotten with his love and attention. :cloud9:

Cam,

Your items are so cute. I am so excited to be working out with you each day. Thanks for the motivation!!!

Ok Cam I'm kind of not a computer girl so let me ask you some questions. When you find the image you want you save it to Shutterfly or somewhere else and then Shutterfly and then what do you next. Where do you print if from? Can you PM step by step if that's easier than posting here. Thanks.

Thank you, Patty! Hey, I was telling everyone at my WISH journal how awesome it is to have you as my workout partner. THank you again, sweetie! :cool1:

Laura -- First of all, congrats on the 4 pound weight loss!! :thumbsup2
As for posting images, I'd be glad to help (after all, many DISers have helped me over the years with these questions).
1. save your image to a photo website like shutterfly or photobucket. (If the image is one you have found elsewhere, you will need to save it to your computer first in order to have it available to upload to shutterfly. The way you do that is to right click on the image whereever you find it on the internet and say "save as" and save it to your desktop. Then you can upload it to shutterfly, etc. from your computer).
2. Once it is in shutterfly, click on it to open it on your screen, then right click and click on properties. Highlight the code at properties. (It is the properties code that directs the DIS boards where to find the image in your shutterfly album)
3. come back to the DIS and insert the following code where you are drafting your post
and insert the address you picked up at properties between those two bracketed image codes. That tells the DIS to insert the image from that location in your shutterfly album. You can preview your post to make sure it shows up. I've tried using the little mountain icon above the post drafting block but for some reason sometimes I end up with two of the "http" prefixes and the image doesn't show up.

I am sure that was clear as mud, but let me know how you fare. If my directions are indecipherable, the posters on the technical board are MUCH better than I at explaining this stuff! :thumbsup2

OMG Cam....I love the candle and match boxes! what a great idea :lovestruc They look so great. hahahaha and you added lumiere, so fun!

Thank you, Sabrina! I found the glitter chinese food takeout containers on a fabulous post-valentine's day sale at Oriental Trading, along with some fun chocolates. The containers came in pink & red & we used both colors. I am not worried about sticking to our theme colors for the welcome bag items.

Well, I am feeling pretty pleased with myself this morning. :rotfl: I had an idea a while ago about what I wanted to use for welcome bags (after realizing the gable boxes might not work since I wanted to put at least 1 1liter bottle of water in each, and maybe more.) I thought it would be fabulous to put everything in a bag that our guests could use for the park. Today, in the footlocker outlet, I found gym sacks (the kind with strings you can pull tight to wear on your back or over your shoulder) and they were 60% off. Then I had my entertainment discount for 15% off my total order, and now we are the soon to be happy owners of very functional sport sacks for each of our welcome bags. :woohoo: That is a HUGE load off my mind!!! :yay:

Cam,

Thanks for sharing the footlocker bags, I love them. I just ordered two for Aubre and myself and am so excited. Hey, hows that newsletter coming along? Forgot to ask you when I saw you this am. Well don't work too hard today.

Hugs
Patty

Patty -- So glad you got in on that great price! :woohoo:

I haven't added anything more to the newsletters yet, but I found some cute graphics and pics from our two resorts that I am going to add. I thought it would be great to provide a link to websites where guests can find out all about Wilderness Lodge and POP Century early on before they make a reservation. There are a lot of parts of the newsletter I can do before we have a contract, but some of it I am almost afraid of "jinxing". ;) Thanks to Vanessa, I have a great template for the newsletter and some cute pix. I will also start working on water bottle labels soon. I bought full sheet labels to print them on (landscape orientation to get it to go around the bottle), but am concerned about ink coming off on sweaty hands. Then, I started wondering if clear packing tape is wide enough to put over the label, and then I started thinking maybe I should buy those waterproof labels that someone was talking about on here. Geez, Okay, I'll work on the word template for the water bottles but will have to figure out later what to print them on. :rotfl2:

Today I was looking for jewel bouquet initials and am thinking ebay may be the best source. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
