I'm making calzones tonight from scratch.. with pepperoni and cheese!

The house will smell wonderfully in maybe an hour...

Who else loves them? We haven't had them in a LONG time!

Yum! I love them but can't have them on this diet! They make them here at a family run Pizza Place with Ham, Mozzarella, Cheddar and Ranch Dressing! They are marvelous!

<font color=navy>Okay, I have to admit, that I read this in Spanish, and the first thought that came to mind:

Me! My nana used to make one with turkey, spinach and swiss cheese....mmmmmmm. It tasted soooo good.

Me! But no pepperoni for me thanks. I'll have cheese, spinach and garlic, very light on the sauce. :)

I love calzones, too. I frequently make them and keep them in the freezer for when I don't feel like cooking.

Seafood Calzones.......no sauce but a light cream sauce with them and cheese of course....delcious.....

Me too! I thought of making them last night when I was making pizza, but just went the traditional route.

Yum! What time is dinner? :teeth:

Super super easy....

1 tbsp yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 cups flour
2 tbsp oil

First do the warm water, then put the yeast in. Then sugar Watch it so it will bubble up.. (No bubbles/the water isn't the right temp). Then put oil, salt and flour. Knead 5 minutes... (I do hand, or food processor)

Let sit 5 minutes. AFter 5 minutes, pull about 6 balls... flatten the balls and fill it halfway with whatever you have handy.... and then fold it over. Seal with fingers/fork..

(You may need to flour your hands for the balls, it does get sticky)

Poke vent holes and cook at 375 for 20 minutes or so.

I put salsa/peperoni/cheese in mine (leftovers from a party)

This makes 6 adult sized ones.

Oh they smell and taste so good! YUM!!!
