Calling vs. Faxing Room Requests

Any reason why one is preferable to the other? I always read about faxing room requests, but I was wondering why not just call?

Just make sure your request is on your reservation, call whoever you booked it through. CM's on this board have reported that faxes are ignored and calls to the resort actually go to a call center.

Like the PP stated make sure it's noted on your reservation, also I would fax your request in as well 4-5 days before you arrive. I know a lot of guests who have stayed at CSR have stated the CM's there do read the faxes.

That must be about the only one that still reads faxes. Most, including all the DVC resorts, just toss them out. Just add your requests to the reservation.
