Hello!

I'm new to these boards and lost, and confused ;)! Well only in regards to the diet I have started today. It is a GI type of diet which I got from my co worker who was thrilled with it and lost weight steadily, until she gave up after about 6 weeks? When I saw her progress I thought, that's for me and I've started today :thumbsup2.
It's very simple and that's a huge part of the appeal for me but I'm already wondering what else I can eat, which is why I've come to you for advice :).

Basically, I'm to eat an egg, a slice of dinkle bread, some sliced deli meat, and I think 200g of light 0.5% vanilla yogurt for breakfast. Lunch is 200g deli meats or other meat protien and veg, Dinner is the same, and then every evening for a snack is a few squares of 70% chocolate, 1 dl of salted peanuts and 100 g of the yogurt. Coffee with milk is fine too.

I'd like to add some cheese, perhaps and some salad dressing although I'm afraid of the suger and some quinoa basically and am wondering if that would slow the weight loss.

I've got a big birthday coming up, and I'm headed to Disneyland :dance3:! I sure would like to loose about 15 or 20 pounds of what I need to loose beforehand and so I'm thankful for
any advice :goodvibes!!

Sounds like a lower carb diet overall. You might check out Swedish physician Andreas Eenfeldt sight for some further dietary ideas.

Outside of diet, on my wish list, have always wanted to visit Sweden for sight seeing and genealogy purposes! Had family that immigrated from Gothenburg to the US.

Wow thank you for the diet doctor link, very informative and just a bit scary now as I slowly began to become educated re the role light products and skim milk have played

...played in me being as overweight as I am now. I've heard rumblings from friends but no real explanation so I just thought, yeah right! I will certainly be reading more but am at work surfing and posting all from my phone at the moment but I just wanted to say thank you. I must be one of the last under à rock, but no more!
