Calling college football fans . . . which Bowl games will you be watching?

LOL, skuttle!! By the way, do you think that Saban being a "lame duck coach" will help or hurt LSU?

You know that two other "lame duck" coaches (Terry Hoeppner of Miami of Ohio, and Tyrone Willingham of Notre Dame) have both LOST bowl games this season, don't you?
I won't speak for skuttle, but I wouldn't compare those coaches to Saban. There's a reason Miami made him an offer he couldn't refuse. I think he'll have the guys ready to play if the quarterback situation can be resolved yet again. I'm really interested in this matchup because I've never seen ya'll play.
All I can say about Saban though, is  I hope Dolphin fans appreciate the Christmas gift.

I hope to see as much of the Rose Bowl as I can ... unfortunately, I'll be at work, and I'll have to settle for what I can catch during my breaks.

I just wish we could go back to the good old days, where every year's Rose Bowl featured the Big Ten(eleven) champion against the Pac Ten champion.

(call me a sentimental fool, but I also wish we could go back to the days where the Big Ten(eleven) only had 10 teams in it)

AMEN!!!

Even though I am a dyed in GREEN MSU fan, I will be rooting for the school a few miles up the road from me in the Rose Bowl.

Good luck to all my GO BLUE fans from a SPARTAN!!!

Hey Skuttle I'm interested in watching Iowa's coach since he's a candidate at LSU ;)

Not going to happen.

"Recruits and parents who had lingering doubts about Ferentz's allegiance to the Hawkeyes likely were put at ease Tuesday, November 23, 2004. Iowa announced it had reached an agreement with Ferentz on a restructured deal that gives him a pay raise and keeps him under contract at the school through 2012."

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!! - I will be rooting for the LSU TIGERS - sorry about your Iowa team.

Then comes the LONGHORNS from Texas

And finally - I will ALWAYS cheer for anyone who plays AGAINST oklahoma.

He's not off the list yet here, Deb ;)
I think ya'll are safe, though. Not that he's not an interesting candidate, but he's not the one getting the most talk. Honestly, I'm not really thrilled with anyone they've mentioned so far. No offense to them, but Saban will be hard to replace and if you know the struggles we had before him  you'd understand why many LSU fans are a little skittish about a new coach. Oh, well, if things go south for LSU maybe I'll be able to pick up the extra pair of season tickets I've been trying to get for the last 4 seasons :D
Should be a good game, Deb. Looking forward to it.

Fiesta Bowl, to see if I can see my friend who is in Pitt's band.

:earseek: :faint: How can you possibly say that after last year?????? Boy you must hold some grudge against Oklahoma!!!!

Me too. May the best team win!! Go Hawks! ;)
Oh, Deb you made a typo. That should be Go Tigers

Just having fun with you. Honestly, I'm so pumped up about the game it's just nice to have someone to talk to. I love my tigers, though. The news showed them and the Golden Band from Tigerland at WDW and Capital One parades. I'm sooooooo sad I'm not there with them. I'm sorta wishing I'd given up my pre-Christmas trip so we could be there now.

Us too. We saw a picture of several of the Hawkeyes on Splash Mountian, going down the drop, on Monday. They looked like they were having such a good time.

No WDW trip for us until June, though . . . :guilty:

We'll be watching LSU for sure! Who knows what next season will hold with Nick Saban leaving!

We'll also probably watch the Nat'l Championship game to cheer AGAINST USC. ::yes::

OMG! My thoughts exactly. I can't wait to see how USC fares against a REAL TEAM.
I'll be watching Capital One too, even though Saban kinda gave all LSU fans an UP YOURS on Christmas Day, or so I feel. Still gotta support our boys! Its amazing. This is the only year my new husband and I did not road trip everything because of the wedding at Disney in December and LSU ends up in Orlando later in the month. Oh the irony!
I'll be watching the Sugar too, to support Auburn, even though I don't like them normally. They need to win and be "co-national champions" from the SEC. hehe.

LOL-Oklahoma has lots of new fans here in La. I'm already on the hunt for my red and white pom pom's so I can cheer them on!!
I wish Saban wasn't going, but I feel like you. IMHO he's too tempermental to like it in the NFL.
Is it possible for Auburn to get a share of the Natl. Championship if they win?

at a NYE party watching the 'Canes destoying the Gators yet again. :D

We'll be watching the Orange Bowl. My 2 sons got tickets to the game from their grandfather, as a Christmas surprise. On Christmas Eve he gave them each a package to open that contained an orange in a bowl. :) :) Younger DS is a freshman at USC and he was speechless for a good five minutes!

Aren't there any other Trojan fans on the DIS?

FIGHT ON!

Sugar Bowl!!

GO HOKIES!!

(Don't get too killed)

Hey.... where is that Hokie Pride!??? They have great winning streak going, and are a very dangerous team for Auburn. SSB will be watching, and pulling for Hokie upset. Last game, they sure came through vs. Miami.. and was IN Miami. (have to also say was there last year when they smacked them when Miami was number 2 in nation...! hehe)

I'm trying so hard just to be glad to be there. We are going to be wrecks in this house Monday night.

Trying so hard to refrain from comments regarding triple digits from the Mountaineer peanut gallery--I will not question their ability to count that high.

I will watch most of them because I love college football but the only one that matters is the Rose Bowl.

Go Blue

Liked to see an overhyped Pac 10 team fall tonight and to hear the Texas Tech fans chant overrated. If they weren't excited to play there, too bad. Cal, you didn't deserve the Rose Bowl.

Go Auburn! Go Utes! Go Boise State Broncos!

This Silicon Valley Bowl on ESPN 2 is not bad at all, pulling for Troy.
