Heading into the New Year's Weekend to me means . . . COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWL GAMES!!!! Whoooo hoooo!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Having had ties to 4 Big Ten schools, I will be watching several of the match-ups, including:

Sun Bowl: Arizona State vs. PURDUE (my alma mater!!)

Capitol One Bowl: IOWA (where I am currently a faculty member) vs. LSU

Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. Texas (the GRAND-DADDY of all the bowls!!)

and, of course,

Orange Bowl: USC vs. Oklahoma - for the national championship

I LOVE college football!! Can't wait!!!

So, what bowls and teams will YOU be watching??

I'll definitely be watching the Orange Bowl. GO SOONERS!

(No plans now to watch the others, but I did watch a bit of the Alamo Bowl last night - yeah Ohio State! A bit of the major ones will probably sneak in to our viewing time.)

Ack!!! You forgot a great one from yesterday!!!! The Alamo Bowl where Ohio State crushed Oklahoma State!!!

We will be in a cabin this weekend with about 9 other people... so not sure which we will be watching. I'd probably catch the Rose Bowl and the Orange Bowl if I had the chance :)

Having done my grad work at FSU I will be watching the Gator Bowl and since I now work at the University of Utah I will be watching the Fiesta Bowl. Probably the Sugar as well coming from a family of Auburn fans. And unless it turns into a blow out the Orange

Oh, yes. My sis and her DH are on faculty at OSU, so I was quite happy to see the Buckeyes annihilate Oklahoma State!! Actually, I turned it off when it was 33-0, in the 4th quarter . . .

Deb, I admit, I did the same thing myself. I checked the score in the 5th with about 8 minutes or so to go and went to bed :o

We will be watching all of them for the most part, but we are really waiting for the Sugar Bowl on Monday! GO HOKIES!!!!! We told our DD8 she could stay up and watch, even though it's a school night! We will just make her go to bed early the night before and after. (We aren't sure about DS4 yet.) I certainly think they have a shot. I know Auburn has something to prove, but Tech is on a roll and they played USC close and that was the 1st game of the year.

GO HOKIES!!!! :cheer2:

I hope to see as much of the Rose Bowl as I can ... unfortunately, I'll be at work, and I'll have to settle for what I can catch during my breaks.

I just wish we could go back to the good old days, where every year's Rose Bowl featured the Big Ten(eleven) champion against the Pac Ten champion.

(call me a sentimental fool, but I also wish we could go back to the days where the Big Ten(eleven) only had 10 teams in it)

I watched the first half of the Alamo Bowl last night. I'll be watching the Rose Bowl and Capitol One Bowl GO HAWKS!!!! and all of the other bowl games that DH just HAS to watch!

I watched the Alamo Bowl last night (Go Bucks!), and I intend to watch the Rose Bowl and the Orange Bowl.

My team blew it in Boise already, I'll def watch the BCS Bowls and my two other favorites the Continental Tire Bowl and the Peach Bowl.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
SUGAR!!!!!!!!! Go Go Go HOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are having a Bowl party .... ( oh I wish it wasn't on a Mon. night........) :

Deb...I suppose I'll replay even though I see you're employed by the enemy. ;) We'll be watching LSU for sure! Who knows what next season will hold with Nick Saban leaving!

We'll also probably watch the Nat'l Championship game to cheer AGAINST USC. ::yes::

And then if there's a game on TV and we have nothing else to watch/do, we'll watch.

Well....we're watching whatever Bowl game it is that Cal is playing later today (?something in San Diego?) - not sure I can stomach watching the Rose Bowl - still too bitter that the Cal Bears aren't playing in this one.

BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

I'm interested in all of them because I'm involved in a bowl pick league but my heart is with my alma mater THE University of Oklahoma!

E~I was rooting for your osu because I can't stand the Pokes!! hee hee

After watching the MPC bowl when a non-BCS team hammered a BCS (hah!)
Now the Liberty Bowl when 2 teams left out of the BCS(Don't get me started) battle it out Louisville vs Boise State.
The Holiday Bowl with Cal(another overlooked by the BCS).

LOL, skuttle!! By the way, do you think that Saban being a "lame duck coach" will help or hurt LSU?

You know that two other "lame duck" coaches (Terry Hoeppner of Miami of Ohio, and Tyrone Willingham of Notre Dame) have both LOST bowl games this season, don't you?
