Ok. I know my way around DW, but I am completely lost planning a trip that includes water parks. I am thinking about getting the water park & more ticket for the first week of June. Here are my questions:

1. How important is it to get there at opening? I see some people go to a park in the morning, then a WP in the afternoon. We are bringing a baby, so a chair (and hopefully shade) is really important.

2. Is it feasible to hit BB and TL in the same day?

3. Do you guys combine a WP with a regular park, or do you have dedicated WP days?

Any other advice on how to maximize the water park & more option? We would probably get the 4 day ticket, which means we have 4 "other" options in addition to the main parks.

TIA!

1. I found rope drop is a great time saver. I did rope drop at TL last August, no wait to 5 mins wait at all the rides. We did everything in less than 2 hours (with shower/change) You can always find chair by the attraction (not always shaded)
2. Yes.
3. I did both. AK after TL; Disney Quest after BB; and BB before my flight. I will not suggest MK or EPCOT with water park.

We always go for extended stays-usually ten nights-so we have"down days" It's on those days that we do a water park. It's planned ahead of time to spend most of the day there. We don't worry about rushing to get there since it's an all day thing for us.

When I was there last week, they had a bus that went from Typhoon Lagoon to Blizzard Beach and back.

Same answers as above to your questions.

If you are doing Water Parks and more you can also do mini golf. We hit AK, mini golf and then BB last year. If you wanted to do BB and then golf and then WL you could but it would probably be tight with baby.

We dedicated one full day to each & a 3rd day split between the 2. If the park is open 'til 8 (like June), the last couple hours of the day are great. They really empty out.

1. Are you staying onsite? If not just so you know water parks also have tiered closures like the parks (once they reach a certain capacity they only allow onsite guests until some people leave and if it get too crowded they close completely until it empty a out a little). Early afternoon will be the most crowded time (due to overlap of morning/afternoon visitors) so chairs especially with shade may be hard to find unless you get lucky and stumble on one you may be out of luck. I haven't been recently but they had been offering a chair/umbrella rental (but not sure if you reserve ahead of time) to guarantee a shady place to sit. Otherwise if shade is critical (which it seems like it is with a baby) I would go early. FWIW my mother is extremely fair/prone to sunburn and always swore there was much better shade options for her at Typhoon Lagoon (never wanted to go to BB)-but that was before the whole cabana and pay for umbrella/chairs so I don't know if that has impacted the # of free chairs in shady areas
2. Never tried both WP in the same day
3.Always did a park too-either took a afternoon break at a water park (after hitting up a park in the AM) or did a half day at a water park and then evening at a park

1. RD is essential, IMO.
2. I wouldn't do 2 WPs in 1 day.
3. Sometimes we do a water park and theme park (in the evening) but most days we are going to a water park we just go there.

I don't know how you would get all of BB done in half a day, We went in Sept so it was a slow time and got there at opening and still wasn't able to get it all done.

We never get to rope drop but would like to try it. We always hit the WP by 11 and stay until 5 or 6 then we get back for dinner and finish the night in the park we usually had dinner at or go to a 3rd park for the evening. I don't think we would do 2 WP in the same day.
