Everyone always gets called out but me. I just thought I'd give a shout out to all the other lonely folks. How are you all doing tonight?

I'm pretty good, researching new cars.

How are you????? And thanks for calling on me.

Funny you should say that. I just bought a new car! I got a Subaru Outback, LLBean model. I'm enjoying it a lot.

I'm doing fine thank you and how are you. :D

Hello to my fellow Pennsylvanian and to Jolie wherever you are! I'm on my laptop watching Frazier. Not much exciting going on around here. My almost 10 year old son just got invited to go to the circus for the first time with a friend on Sunday. I'm not a big fan of traditional circus myself, but I'm excited for him that he's going.

:wave2:

Hi Everyone,

I'm just surfing around trying to set up a short vacation close to home.

Hope your son has a fun time. I personally hate the circus :crazy2: mostly the clowns.

I don't mind the clowns, it's the wild animals performing tricks that bother me.

Where are you thinking about going faithinkarma? We're going to Hershey for a weekend in about a month and we also love going to Baltimore's Inner Harbour.

I actually considered Hershey. I also considered NH, for some tax free shopping, or Boston or Mystic Seaport, and I looked very very longingly at the deal they have going at Universal studios right now LOL

But I think we are going to go to the finger lakes in NY. We only moved here last year, and have never been there.

Looks like they have a few plays I might be interested in seeing. One place is running "forever plaid" for a week.'

So I guess we will just go, and even though it is close to home, I am looking around att the inns and B&Bs.

Is this your first trip to Hershey?

Cool, Alaska! I've been to Juneau. I was only there one day though. Beautiful state.

I think the Alaskan cruise is the only thng that would lure me onto a cruise ship. Hope I get to do it some day.

We've been to Hershey a few times. We went to the park in the winter once when only a few rides are open, but never in the summer. The finger lakes sound nice. I've never been up there before. You never think to explore your own territory for vacation. I'm not sure why, but I guess it just doesn't feel exotic enough.

and also, they never advertise much to the locals. I would certainly prefer to go further away. It just has more of a "vacation" feeling if you do. That is why I am going to stay overnight. If we stay home and try to do local things I know I will never pry my husband away from his computer LOL

Yeah, you definitely have to stay at a hotel or somewhere else for the night. That makes it seem more like a vacation. We could do Hershey or Baltimore in a day but we always spend the night. The kids really love staying away from home too.

My kids are grown and gone. But we were just saying, the way we are planning all these weekend getaways, one would think we had kids at home LOL

Hi from New Jersey!!! Hershey is a lot of fun - in addition to the park, there's the Chocolate World ride (free candy at the end), shopping in the outlets right next to the park, and the Spa at The Hotel Hershey (the whipped cocoa bath is to die for!!!!) - then, of course, there's the chocolate!!!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Spa? Did you say Spa??? Hmmmm......just when I thought I had settled on the Finger Lakes. Looks like I will be doing more surfing tomorrow.
