Yay!! I'm in I and my friend is in J, so really I will be running in J. Those who have done this before, is that an ok place to be? I'm terrified of being swept.

I was in I for the Wine & Dine, and I was fine - and I hardly trained at all due to surgery. You will have a good cushion, since the corrals go all the way to P. :goodvibes

Did anyone get the half course map up? When I click on it, it still has the logo from marathon weekend, and it never actually loads...

I did, but I couldn't zoom in. It would go black. I'd post a pic but I can't from my iPad for some reason.

Yay!! Thanks!!

This time, I forgot to put my proof of time, and ended up in O...which i'm guessing was from my NOT so stellar time in the Wine & Dine. Oh well, i'm just doing it for fun anyway - I never stop for pics or restroom breaks, so i'm sure I will be fine. Just have to get there early to get up far in my corral. I'm excited to run (or walk, since i've heard it is super crowded) through the castle!! :cool1:

I'm in G. :yay:

Now I wish they would hurry up and post the race instructions. Hopefully it will give us an idea of when each corral will step off! Anyone look up what time the sun will come up on that morning? Do I need to be prepared with sunglasses?

Bibs - check!
Corrals - check!
Course map - check!

Time to start fretting about the weather forecast I suppose... :lmao:

Corrals are up- how is everyone feeling?

I'm in E. I'm not really concerned with the letter because I've heard that the spaced corrals have done a ton to help congestion so there's not as much of a need to worry about getting 'stuck' in the crowd.

Exactly three weeks today until I'm Disney bound!! :cool1:

anyone who did dopey - how did the corrals work out for the 10k? wondering what us GSC princesses should expect.

you won't find out your 10k corral until you get your bib if it's the same as dopey. similar to the 5k, i don't think there is really a rhyme or reason to corral placement for the 10k. for instance, i was in J for the half and full (basically old D when you look at the numbers) but i was in C for the 5k and 10k.

I'm in E for the GSC this year which looking at the numbers of folks in each corral seems to be about where old A maybe B was. The first few corrals have way less people in them than the last few corrals. i know that they have to get people off at a decent time but it wish they would have even more corrals if they are going to space things out. the folks in, say, J-P will be just as crowded as they would be using the normal corrals system since there are so many. still, the more corrals have to help somewhat.

this year's donald half was SO crowded. when you get to the one lane areas, just have patience. and PLEASE don't run 4+ people in a line so that it's impossible to pass. i can't tell you how many people we saw LINKING ARMS during the race. :faint:

Got my corral - about where I thought I'd end up - looking at course map and wondering if anyone can tell me where you can just motor along so I can save a few moments for a character photo or two? Looks like miles 1-3 and 7-10 would be good. Of course, I may be crawling by then if my hip doesn't let up:-/

I'm absolutely thrilled with O!!! First half ever, didn't submit a time, and "O" for "Oh so awesome I'm not in the very last corral!" Every minute counts; I'm finally able to do a 15 min/mile; and thank you, Disney, for every extra second you gave me.

20411 and C for GSC!! :cheer2:

I did 8 miles yesterday with almost no IT band pain in my hip! Just a little tightness, but overall it felt really good and I'm thrilled that the stretching/rolling seems to really be helping. :goodvibes

We're almost there! Only 19 days til I leave wooo! SO EXCITED!! :yay:

I'm in E for GSC. It says Elite and A are women only.. do you think men are allowed to start in B? Anyone have a male running with them that is higher than C?
Whoever asked about 10k start... there were only 5 corrals I think... I was in D and we started 45 minutes after gun time. That Stunk! With so few corrals I expected to be running by 6am  But there wasn't a big congestion in the start because we pretty much headed straight for the highway and it spread out as soon as we exited Epcot lot.

Whoa!

I submitted an expected time (with proof) of 3:14 and I'm in corral K, which I find insane, but also really exciting.

Lots of buffer for slow me - I'm going to have SO MUCH FUN at this race!!
