No, weight is going up and my clothes are fitting worse. I am so discouraged.![]()
I CrossFit and the attitude regarding distance running is generally negative in the CrossFit world because it erodes your muscles (more muscle=faster metabolism) as well as other reasons. I've seen some articles about why it's especially not good for women. Like this one here: http://articles.elitefts.com/training-articles/women-running-into-trouble/
Maybe it will be helpful information for some of you so you understand what's happening with your body when you run.
I'm doing the PHM in 2014 and it will be my first half. I'm 4 weeks into training and trying to focus mostly on the longer runs and keep up my CrossFitting during the week. I've never had any luck losing weight when doing running as exercise and I have even gained weight like some of you here. It's frustrating, but doing a Disney half is on my bucket list so it's now or never!
