and then my question is which resort is CR?
CR is the Contemporary resort. Home of Chef Mickey, and my favorite place to stay, Bay Lake Tower

ETA - oops too slow typing

and then my question is which resort is CR?
Do u mind me asking what your rate was and was it rack rate or did u use a discount? Thank you!
$351 a night. I believe the rack rate is almost $500. I have a TA who has a block of rooms at this price. She has POP and POR too
Is that 351 for a reg room (4ppl occupancy)? We have 5 ppl going....
Is that for the main tower or the garden wing rooms?
Also - it is possible to fit 5 adults in a CR room - if you request one that has a daybed. Might be uncomfortable for the person on the daybed, I don't know.![]()
I've read through most of this thread (that's a lot of reading!) and am really getting excited about possibly running (and walking) the PHM. I started C25K about 4-5 months ago (with some time off for knee and PF injuries) and am now working on a 10K training plan. I have yet to enter my first 5K, just need to get up the nerve to do it! There's one in 2 weeks and another on the 4th of July, I just need to decide! I'm 40, need to lose at least 50 lbs. and love running but don't look anything like or move as fast as a typical runner, so the thought of being left in the dust at a local 5K and coming in last is not sitting too well with me.All of the past PHM stories and photos are so inspiring though and I really want the PHM to be my first and hopefully not only, 1/2 marathon.
It's going to be a race between training to see if my body can hold up to long distance running and the PHM selling out. My max so far has been 4 miles running at a 13:20 pace but I felt like death warmed over the next day. I ran two miles today with a 1/4 mile walk break in between and did that at a 12:00 pace but had to take Motrin and soak in the hot tub tonight before I felt normal again. Oh to be 10 years younger again.

Who has this room block for that price again please? If 5 can fit in the room it may be worth the extra 75.00 a nite to move from 2 rooms @ ASMU to CR - it's always been a DREAM of mine ... Thoughts ???

I'll message you. Not sure I can post here due to rules.

Can anyone tell me the perks in signing up as a team? I thought I saw something last year that all teams had to start in the last corral but that doesn't sound right. Will your team name be on your bib instead of your name? Do teams have different bibs? My sister & I are running together so we're just trying to figure out what the benefits are to being a team.
Thanks!
My finish time was abysmal and my goal this year is to finish in 2:30. Last year I was nearly swept and it was terrible. When I left home I was doing 13.5mm, to this day I don't know how I got so far behind, but, I did get the fear put in me for this year, and my goal is 10 mm with 2-3 character stops.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!
Hi all!
I registered today for my first half marathon.....of course, it's the Disney Princess Half! I am not a runner in any way, shape or form. I have done the Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago, which is an 8K, for the past four years but had a scheduling conflict this year so I couldn't do it. I call my running style a "pathetic jog" with lots of speed walking.
WDW is my happy place and it's the only place I would consider doing a half marathon. Joining me will be three of my sorority sisters from college and one of her friends. We've been out of college for almost 20 years....wow, where has the time gone?I am so excited to do this!
I haven't read through the entire thread yet but plan to do so tonight.
Happy training!![]()
