Hi everyone
I'm Vicky and I've just signed up for my first ever half marathon - the Disney Princess!

I've managed to persuade my whole family to take a vacation at the right time (we are in England) so there will be 3 of us running - myself, my brother and my sister-in-law. My Dad and my DH are in charge of the 4 kids!

10 days in a villa doing the parks :thumbsup2 and the race  then 4 days on a disney cruise to recover :cool1:

Haven't read this (very long) thread yet but wanted to say hello before I go back through it!

Bye for now!

Can you guys fit 1 more person (ME!) into your vacation? It sounds amazing! :)

And welcome!!

Think I PMed everyone- just a small update. POP and POR rooms are half sold out!

If anyone finds anything cheaper than $416 for 2 nights (AoA, but I don't mind switching) Please let me know. I know Disney is expensive but I am in a bit of sticker shock.

I still have to get the plane tickets and so far that has been a MAJOR disappointment too.

She quoted us for 3 adults for 2 nights at POP and it was less than that.

Have u already gotten a Disney reservation number and have checked it on the Disney site? Just want to make sure before I hand over my cc number to some person on the Internet. : )

Same here. She quoted me a price that was $100 less than what I have and said "We will also have the ability to add dining in the fall and have discounted park tickets. :)"

Does that sound right? There is a chance for FD in February?

If this is legit, I am ALL OVER THIS :goodvibes

Sure have! Added it to My Disney Experience today actually! :thumbsup2

In the past, runDisney offered deeply discounted park tickets. They are not doing that this year. It sounds like they ARE going to offer some sort of discounted tickets through certain TAs- and this group is one of them. July is supposed to be when we hear the prices.

FD has not been offered historically that week- it's Presidents Weekend leading into PHM and usually there's some room discounts, but no FD. But you will be able to add the dining plan to the room if you decide to go that way.

If an annual passholder or FL resident discount comes out later, can your travel agent add that to the reservation? Thanks!

Will there be an ability to purchase tivkets only. We already have accommodations. I am really excited to do Princess again but the not having special offers is really throwing my trip budget out of wack!!!

She can switch you to the lower rate, yes. If AP comes out and it's less, you can be switched to the better rate. The current rates she is quoting are the lowest Disney will allow on these rooms though- so will have to see if the other rates are better. My friend SaySay did a little research though- and historically this is the best price for that weekend. Value 19%, Mod 25%, Delux 35%..... this is better than the general public deal last year, 15-35%.

No- unfortunately you have to book a room to get ticket discounts

Thx. Do you know if she has Ft Wilderness cabins or any other 1br or 2br villa options or is it just standard rooms?

She can book any room for you- but for now she only has a block in POP, POR or CR. Those are discounted. Anything else is rack rate right now- discounts may come out later though.

I contacted her and now I am all set. She was SUPER nice and helpful and ended up saving me $100 so I am super happy ! Thanks so much for the tip !:cool1:

Is there any benefit to staying in CR as far as race day morning? i.e., can you take the monorail to race start? I've only ever stayed at POR, but would love even one night at CR.

Yes! They had monorail going last year.
