Visa card only shows WDW Marathon weekend as an option. No early registration either. Though I have read whispers that there may be for VISA holders too...

It has to be the Disney Visa for the discount and early registration option. It's already listed on my credit card site but the link isn't active.

Swimfly, can you tell me steps where you get to it?

My visa is the Disney Premiere Visa card. I login to chases site, it brings me to my chase, showing balance, options to manage my disney rewards, view card perks etc.

Thanks

I can find the info for Marathon Weekend, but I don't see anything for the Princess/Glass Slipper...

Right there with you looking forward to registering and planning my girl's weekend with my mom and daughter.

Psssst... I think you offer great advice.

aw, thanks!

I want to hurry up and register before the boy changes his mind and tells me this is a terrible idea. Since he doesn't run, I told him we are actually saving money, because instead of us both running the half, I'm just doing the glass slipper :lmao:

It was so there this weekend b/c I was comparing registration dates. You login to Disney Visa - Click See More Information - Click See Disney Offers on left side. It was the very last item noted underneath "Make fairy tale dreams come true" this weekend. I'll keep checking back. It has to be popping up any moment now. Registration is less than 2 weeks away.

Does anyone know if I can register more than just myself through the early registration options (DVC/Visa/AP)? DH and I actually qualify for all 3 early registrations, but we have some friends going with us who aren't quite so Disney-crazy and I'd love to be able to ensure they get Glass Slipper spots too.

Thanks!
Leslie

You could for the January WDW Marathon weekend. Anyone with the link was registering.

So, I may be out for the 2014 PHM. :(

There are a couple of factors, but mainly, there was some confusion on my part with how my DH's vacation works. See, I'd been keeping my goal of the PHM a secret (except from you guys!) until I felt that I absolutely had to reveal it. I just liked having it as a personal goal for myself (I'm usually an over-sharer).

Well, that was a mistake. I'd assumed that DH's vacation started over in Jan. It actually starts over in March (his hire date). So close to the PHM dates and yet so far. He'll be out of vacation days after Christmas vacation this year.

I was super upset about this when he told me, but now I think it might be for the best. As a very new runner, it will give me time to ease into the longer distances, train properly, and find my groove, instead of trying to train for the PHM with basically no room for error.

So, my plan for now is 2015. It also works out as 2015 is our 10 year anniversary and a nice long Disney vacation sounds like a really nice way to celebrate. And who knows, maybe I'll be able to do Glass Slipper that year instead of just the half. :goodvibes I hope y'all will still let me hang out here as I find your advice invaluable and I love the community.

You could always go solo and meet up with other runners :)

OK, question for those of you who ran PHM 2013, I know I read somewhere that you could pre-order the Dooneys? Was it at registration? Or did you link into it later? I really really really really want a Princess Dooney!! (I hope they will still sell them in 2014!)

I was hoping to get one in 2012, but our flight landed around noon on Friday, so we got to the expo around 2 or 3, and the Dooneys were long gone by then :sad2: And I refused to pay 3x's the amount on eBay

Do those who have done the race and gotten the retreat really think it is worth it? I will hopefully be doing the GSC. My sister will be doing the PHM with me. I was thinking of getting her the retreat and surprising her with it for Christmas or her birthday. But then obviously I'd have to get it for myself too:) Need to know its worth the cash when I'm already spending a small fortune. And any guess if I need to get it all on registration day? Does the retreat sell out? I was hoping to plunk down my expected $300 with fees for the GSC and then add the retreat later when my bank account has recovered...but don't want to miss the chance to sign up.
PHM 2013 was my first race and DH and I did the RR...TOTALLY would do it again ! Great to have a place to sit before the race and fuel up, stretch, relax. After the race ditto...and no lines for porta potty ! Got to meet Princess V at RR which was the best part of all !:cool1:

Sorry you might miss it (but I agree that you should consider a solo trip, lots of ladies here meet up and some even share rooms to save $$) but it sounds like you have a great attitude and plan for 2015. Stick around and keep posting!

Yes you can pre-order on Active which was great, but they increased the prices a lot in 2013, so I decided against it. Of course, the princesses just switched their expo obsession from the dooney's to the New Balance mickey shoes! :rotfl:

Those who ran last year - do you remember what the travel packages included?

http://www.rundisney.com/travel/

There's no way the values are $161/night for JUST the hotel...right? That would be insanity!

Last year the packages included some minigolf and lame discounts, nothing worth it. Once the AP and FL resident room discounts came out I cancelled my RunDisney reservation and rebooked straight through Disney and got a much better rate.

Oh my. I hope not! I don't even wear New Balance!

Me either, but the Minnie shoes were too cute to pass up. They are actually fairly comfortable...I wear them sometimes in the weekend to the store or whatever, but definitely not a good fit for me for running. If they made a Princess one, you can bet I'd be racing to get a pair!
