Calling all locals and AP Holders

Need some input. DD (4) and I want to come back mid to late Sept. (wk of the 18th or 25) We're from No. Calif. and I was going to get a hotel for a few days across the street but my god parents live over by Chapman University off Palm and I wondered if I should just stay there and ART in? I wonder how long it would take from there?

HOURS: It looks like the parks arent even open until 10am (not a lot of info posted yet on the calendar at disneyland.com) but is that about right? 10am to 8pm during the end of Sept?

FIREWORKS: Also, during the end of Sept what day/days will the fireworks be showing, if at all??!?!! We'll be there for 7 days so hopefully we can catch it at least once

ART does not go that far. It would kind of be complicated, but you could take metrolink from orange to anaheim, then bus to DL. DL hours will most likely be 10-8 during the week. I'm almost postive DL will have fireworks Friday and Saturday. I have no clue about the rest of the week. It really depends on how much the anaheim residents complain about the noise. I personally like hearing them, and notice the nights when they don't go for some reason (like Thursday night, there were none due to high winds). But then again I don't live across the street either.

Thanks so much for the info. After looking at the ART map I was thinking that it probably wouldn't go that far!

We're taking the train down and just noticed that Amtrak is right there on Katella and close to Disneyland. I just thought I could avoid the hotel if I had my own transportation. Maybe I could just rent a car, do you know of a car rental place near by?

Renting a car would be cheaper than a hotel room would be, might be another option to look at, plus if you decide you would like to do something else while you here you can. And it would be complicated to take public transportation from there.

I think you are right. I will look into that this week and see what it would cost me! I would only need it for 4 days and it's just DD and I so I could get the cheapest/smallest/etc

Now I just have to see if my god parents wouldn't mind if I use their house as a hotel for 4 days before staying with them the rest of the week
