Ive been getting very busy with school. But im having a good time so far.

When i get more time to take a breath ill check in a little more. Right now i have to eat, then go learn everything about 13 different species.

Business stinks - I'm really stressing about it (literally losing sleep)
If things don't pick up soon, I'm going to have to make a very important decision on what to do with that place - I"m not happy!!!!

I hope things pick up with your business. It's tough times all around, and im sorry that its hitting you too. hopefully things will work out soon.

Im in a mammalogy class this quarter. We already learned anatomy and the evolutionary differences in the skulls of mammals and bone placement in them. Now in my lab we have to learn tons of different species. We need to know the full scientific names and information about them like differences in teeth. Well have to be able to tell what species is it by looking at the skull. For instance did you know that the only difference between the 2 toed sloth and the 3 toed sloth is 1. obviously they have different numbers of toes and 2. the 2 toed sloth has 2 large insicors and the rest of their teeth are molars. On the 3 toed sloth all of their teeth are the same molar- like teeth. and they only have about 10 teeth!

So yesterday we learned monotremes and marsupials and covered about 13 species. Its going to continue like that every tuesday and thursday for many many more weeks. Its pretty fun though, we get to use the pelts and skeletons from the schools wildlife library.

Now off to mammalogy lecture!

I was in front of the TV at 8:30pm last night
Why am I ? Because that NEVER happens.
We had the fastest, smoothest, evening in such a long time - it was weird!!!!
I came home from work, we ate, we went to the mall so the girls could see the Easter bunny, we were back home by 7pm, I got the girls ready for bed, and everyone was asleep by 8:30pm. It was so bizaare, and I loved it!!!!!

Well, it's time for me to get this day started. I have to work until 7pm today, because I had to cut my employees hours to almost nothing - breaks my heart!!!! I just love this girl, and it killed me to tell her to start looking for a 2nd job, and I will do everything I can to help her. These times are really terrible!!!!

Hello everyone! We have had chilly weather the last couple of mornings, but the weather has still been pretty. It looks like it should be warm and pretty on Sunday. My kids are on Spring break next week. One whole week of not forcing them out of bed every morning. I just have to force myself out!


sandy - how are things at your store? Do you have big Easter plans?

CB - you do have alot to learn!! I don't run into many sloths here in Mobile, so I won't be able to check out your info! It's good that you are enthused about school again!

Im in school for wildlife conservation. Possibly pre-vet. i would really love to be a wildlife vet, or work at AK

Today I am only working until 1pm, so I can go to Mass at 1:30. I'm glad I have my employee to work the tiny amount of hours that I can give her, so I can do some other things in my life. I would feel really bad if I couldn't go to Mass today - I haven't missed a Good Friday Mass in many many years.

**The store is very very very slow - it's so depressing!!! The stress of being slow is so much worse, than the stress of being super busy. The only thing that makes me feel better, is when we drive around, and everything is slow. We walked through Sears the other night, to see the Easter Bunny, and it was like a ghost town - the only people in there, besides us, were the workers Another store, that sells pools, spas, etc had 2 cars in front of it, which you know were the workers - it's so scary around here!!! How are things in your area? I heard things were slow in the south, but nothing like up here.

CB - That's a great thing to go to school for. No matter what the economy is, the animals will still be here, and will still need to be taken care of - I think your goal is perfect!!!!

This is going to be a busy holiday weekend.

My MIL is being received into the church tonight, so this is going to be a busy weekend celebrating that. I need to work all day, and then we have church all night - we probably won't be home until 11pm. The tiring part about this, is that we have to wait until the girls are asleep to hide eggs and for me to make their baskets - this will be a long day

Tomorrow, I'm sure the girls will wake up up early, so they can get their goodies, and then we need to get ready for brunch. My inlaws are taking us all out for Easter brunch to celebrate my MIL being received into the church. Then we are going to their house after, and then going to my mom's house after that My mom asked me if we wanted to have dinner at her house, but it wouldn't be until 6:30/7:00pm, and I said "no thanks". I told her that by that time, I wanted to be home and in my PJ's to watch TV

So that's my weekend in a nutshell - it'll be quite active!!!


Well, I gotta go get ready for work - I hope I have some business today

Hello all! The weather today is beautiful! I hope it is like this tomorrow. I am on call this weekend and I saw 2 patients today. So far I only have one tomorrow. we will go to sunrise service tomorrow and then family all day after that. get this, James' baseball team scheduled practice tonite!!! They said it was Ok if they missed, but they would still like to practice! Sarah is home for a long weekend. we will go to Tuscaloosa at the end of the month for parent's weekend so i will get to see her a lot this month. Emi is headed home from competition in Atlanta today.

sam - what are your Easter plans?

sandy - the economy is slow here, but our immediate area still has some good stuff. Thyssen Krupp is building a plant just outside of Mobile. Also, if Northrup Gruman is awarded the tanker contract (again) then that will bring more jobs. Carnival cruise lines just renewed their contract until 2012 to keep sailing out of Mobile. That at least brings more people into Mobile. I am very worried about Medicaid making cuts and how that will affect my office and all the Medicaid providers.
It sounds liek you do have a busy weekend!!! I don't blame you for wanting to be able to crash Sunday night! And CONGRATS to your MIL!

I have no plans for easter. Marc is going back to visalia today. He has work tomorrow through wednesday. Tomorrow is the last day of his probation. Ill probably just be doing homework and catching up on notes and such.

Do your areas allow hedgehogs as pets? I decided that i really want a hedgehog as a new pet over a guinea pig or rat, but theyre illegal i CA. I still may try and find one in the area.

Well gang, it's the start of another week

Did you all have a nice Easter?
We did - it was nice!!!
The brunch we went to was lovely, and we ate way to much food.
Then we went back to my inlaws house, and had more food (dessert).
Then we visited my parents for awhile.
Then we came home and I was in my jammies by 7pm
It was a great day!!!


Well, I'm off to take out the dog before it starts raining alot, and then I need to get ready for work. Have a great day today everyone!!

i wasnt feeling well this morning. I unintentionally slept through my classes. I'm still going to work in about and hour though. Then Im gonna come home and do some studying to make up for missing class.

My Magnolia bush has flowers on it, so I guess that is a good sign that warmer weather is around the corner

I've just eating my Easter poppyseed coffeecake (I feel like I'm getting fatter by the second with all the crap I've been eating lately), and now I must get Steph out of bed. It was nice having her on break Friday and Monday

Hello all! We had a good Easter. The weather stayed nice until that night, but we are back to sunny skies now.
Sarah - went back to school today.
James - just enjoying spring break and the freedom to play all day with his friends.
Emi - we ordered her Confirmation/8th grade social dress last night (thanks mom!). The dance has a fifties theme and the girls found a really neat website. this is a link to the picture:

Emi is pretty fashion forward for a 14 year old. She likes to be a little different sometimes. i think she is going to look beautiful. We have to work on shoes now!

**I've been bad for more than a couple of days - it's actually been a couple of weeks. Ever since all my heavy stress started a couple of weeks ago, I've been eating alot of things that I shouldn't, and I can feel the weight coming on. Food does give me a lot of comfort, and I need to knock it off, or I'll put everything back on that I lost last year

sandy - you are not alone! I have been off my game too! Too much eating out and junk! Have you been able to walk or anything? I am so lazy! I never go to the gym anymore. I am going to talk to them & see if I can sign Sarah and maybe J & E for the summer. I need a partner for excercise. Or may be I need a drill instructor!

Not to much going on - a very uneventful week.

Oh...I know what I want to share
My waterbill is normally around $95, and lately we've been really needing to same money. So 2 weeks ago I told my family that I'm only doing laundry when I really have to (I normally do laundry all the time so I can say I don't have laundry). I've done very little laundry, and I got my water bill yesterday and it was $65This wasn't with a whole month of doing this, so I'll be curious on what my next water bill will be. I hate having all this laundry hovering over my head, but if it saves me $30-45 a month then it'll be worth it


Karen - I haven't walked because it's still so cold here in the morning (36 degrees of less) and it just started becoming light out at 6:15am. With Kevin home though, it's not easy waking up at 5:30am to workout either, plus I'm just not in the mood - my mood hasn't been to great lately.




Well, I guess it's time to get going and feed STephanie breakfast.

So, what is everyone doing this weekend?
I am crazy busy with errands tomorrow morning since I've worked so much this week. Then I take the girls tomorrow afternoon to grandmas, to spend the night, because Kevin and I are going to a wedding. I may attend the actual wedding after dropping off the girls, but I'm not sure yet, because I need to check in on my dad (my mom's gone all day) and be at Mass by 4:15 so I can speak to the congregation about being a lector (this is to try and recruit new people to lector). Then after that I go straight to the wedding reception. There's ALOT going on tomorrow!!!!
