James' team lost last night - it was not a huge blowout, though! We had a little rally going at our last at bat and the "it always happens at the worst time" bad call ended that! He is so laid back about baseball, it doesn't bother him!
Emily has an award ceremony today at school. We don't know if she's getting an award. I guess I'll find out there!

I had such a nice day yesterday.
My mom, Katie and I went shopping all day, and went out to lunch. Most of the shopping was for the store, and I was so glad to have my mom with to give a 2nd opinion. Very very nice day!!!


Karen - I'm sorry James's team lost yesterday But I'm glad he's a good sport about it - what a nice boy!!!!

Emily got two awards - honor roll all year and Presidential Fitness Award.

I ordered a laptop computer last night for the cheerleading program. It made ma a little queasy! I am excited, though! It should make registration much faster!!

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi! Sorry I haven't been on here much.

I have been battling gout for three weeks. I first got it in my left foot. Then I got it in my right foot but it came and went rather quickly. My doctor sent me to an orthopeadic specialist last Thursday and he gave me a cortisone injection directly in the top of my foot at the base of my big toe. I am finally starting to see some improvement.

I went back to work on April 30th. The first three days were awful Between being in pain because of my foot, the idea of going back to work and walking into an absolute mess at work it was realy tough. The Friday before I went back they had a theft by an employee. He/she took $3,000. All but $20 ended up being recovered but we ended up with corporate security there and we were audited. I'm just so glad I was still on my leave when it happened.

Sandy - It sounds like your shop is moving along well. I hope you'll post some pictures for us once you get it all done! - I love your story about your purse!

Karen - Sorry about James' loss but it sounds like he's a good sport. Tell Emily congratulations on her awards. When do your kids get out of school for the summer? Will Sarah be home for the summer?

Well, gotta get a few things done before work. I go in at 11 today which is a treat for me so I can get a few things done around here! I'll try to stop by more often!

I bought my flats of flowers yesterday and now I have to get the energy to put them in the ground. I gotta tell ya - I'm not in the mood this year But, once I start planting them, it won't be so bad I bought half the amount I normally do, because I'm not going to be home much to enjoy them - I'm opening in about 3 weeks

slo - I can't believe you're opening in just three weeks. Time seems to be going by so fast.

I am off work today, first day off in seven days so I am ready for it! The boys asked what I wanted for Mothers Day and I told them that I wanted their time. So today we are power cleaning the house and they have each promised to give me three hours of their time.

And tonight we're grilling out....ribeyes, baked potatoes, and stuffed mushrooms.

I'm doing a lot better. I've still got gout in my left foot but I honestly think that there's more going on than just gout. But they did xrays and said that's all it is.

We may be working hard around the house today but it's going to feel so nice afterward!

My mom went to church with the girls and I, where all the mom's received a special blessing - I was so glad I was able to be with my mom for that

Then my parents, DB, and SIL came over to spend the day. We got KFC (we do every year) and that way no one had to cook. I even served it on paper plates so no one had to wash dishes

Now the girls are playing outside, and pretty soon it will be time for bed.

I had a very nice Mother's Day!!!!!

The boys and DH helped me clean, which is what I had asked for. And then we had a wonderful meal...ribeyes, baked potatoes, stuffed mushrooms and grilled shrimp. And for dessert we had home-made pineapple upside down cake. Although I did a lot of the cooking I didn't mind at all 'cause I was just kind of dawdling around in the kitchen and there was no rush.

The carpet is coming to the store today - I am so excited!!!!
Then my brother and I are going to get my desk, chair for desk, and filing cabiniet for me office
I can hardly wait to get all these boxes out of my house!!!!

The carpet is down in the store, and it is so nice - I'm very happy with my choice in carpet What's even nicer is the girls now can sit on the floor without getting full of concrete dust and drywall dust The backroom is just having the concrete floor, so Kevin sprayed that with a sealer last night to prevent us from tracking dust all over the new carpet.

I also have a desk now My DB and SIL put my new desk together yesterday - wasn't that nice of them Actually, my DB spent the whole afternoon with me yesterday picking up stuff for the store - so I took him out to lunch to thank him Yesterday was a good day!!!!!

Today I go get fitted for a knee brace, and then later I have to meet a man to discuss a terminal and service for taking credit cards. The carpet guys weren't totally finished yesterday, so they are coming today too to finish what they need to finish.

I have to deal with my first problem with the store this morning (which isn't easy to do, because my voice is almost gone). My carpet job wasn't done well , and I have to show the installer what the problems are. I have carpet glue on some walls, carpet glue on my window trim, alot of scratches on walls, the carpet on the wall isn't sticking well, a huge noticable seam on the floor, and other issues I"m so glad I didn't pay for this in full, because they are getting their balance until the job is done perfectly. Oh well, I guess I should have expected at least one problem


Today my mom and I are moving tons of small boxes that hold my samples in them. Tomorrow a frame rep and merchandiser is coming to hopefully hang these samples. But, if problems continue with this carpet on the wall, I may have to do it myself - which I wasn't looking forward to. When the rep said that she would do it for free, I was very excited!!!!


Yesterday I got my lovely knee brace, and I say lovely very sarcastically The thing is horrible!!!!! It's ugly and very very uncomfortable - I hate it!!!!! Thank goodness I don't have to wear it all the time.


Kathy - I'm opening June 11th Can you tell I"m nervous about that!!!!

Karen - I"m sorry about the computer problems I have such a love/hate relationship with computers
