How is Monopoly coming along?? Are you teaching her regular Monopoly or Monopoly Junior??? We love to play Monopoly around here....and can get pretty competitive! For Christmas we got the boys a special edition Monopoy game....Disney!

The game is still going strong!!!!
I am teaching her regular Monopoly, and she's loving it!!!!!
The Disney one is the one we are playing.
I've owned it for a couple of years now, but this is the first time I opened it.

Yesterday was such a wonderful family day
The ice show was fantastic!!! As Stephanie whispered to me during the show, "this show is better than the last show!!!!" I totally agreed with her
Then we went to Rainforest Cafe for dinner, of which Stephanie was so excited about I told her we were going there to celebrate her passing her level 3 time test on Friday - she did alot of this Then when we got to RFC the wait was over 30 minutes, so I told the girl taking the names that we were in the Safari Club in case that helps us out. She said it did, and we were seated immediately - how awesome!!!!! I told Kevin that I would buy it again just for that feature



Today we are going to church, and then we are going back into the city with Kevin's parents. We are having dinner at Maggianos which makes me do a lot of this I love their Italian food!!!!!



Well, I'm off to make some breakfast

Good morning! How is everyone today? We have been in Mardi Gras overload this weekend! There were two afternoon parades yeasterday (the weather was beautiful) and three last night! There is another one tonight that we have alot of friends in, so we will go tonight!!

Emily has spent the weekend in a small town close to Tuscaloosa. Her best friend Emily does this every year as her birthday celebration. They stay at a hunting lodge and spend the weekend riding fourwheelers and feeding animals. She will be home this afternoon - in time for the parade!

James and I have been hanging out together! Jim has been working!

Sarah will be flying to Orlando from Birmingham for our trip. The other tickets didn't work out so we will just "drive all night" after Emily's tryouts!! I don't mind the night driving - the kids usually sleep and there is less traffic.

Kathy - It sounds like ya'll are busy wedding planning bees!!

Sandy - Ya'll are having a "foodtastic" weekend! I am glad the ice show was good!

Our biggest loser update - I have lost 2 ponds and James has lost 3!!! I am very proud of him!

This is me this morning!! I am hoping I can get all of the clothes clean so they can be packed! I feel like I could do laundry every day!!!
I am going to put out the kids bags today so they can start adding their stuff. Looks like it is going to be chilly while we are there! That's OK - I would rather bundle up than sweat!!

Stephanie already has a 2 hour delay, and it won't surprise me if she ends up having off of school. If she does - she'll be doing this

Kevin wasn't to excited about what I was going to make for dinner tonight (the leftovers from our Italian dinner this weekend), so now he is getting us takeout Which is okay with me, because now I don't have to cook on this Valentine's Day

So, now I'm waiting for that takeout He was just about to go get it when his fire dept pager went off for someone that fell on the ice. So now I have to wait until he's done with his call to go get the food. I hope it doesn't take to long - I'm hungry!!!!!

I would appreciate some pixie dust or kind thoughts - I am applying for a new job. This is the first time I have felt really intense about getting a job! Jim has been working so much for do long, so I can be at this job! I am really happy where I am, but this new job would be a huge increase in salary plus great benefits! I have been working really hard on the application packet - gov't job = lots of paperwork! I am trying to get every thing done so I can mail it in Friday before we leave for Disney! The application period is open until 2/22, but I want to have it done before we leave, so I can not think about it on the trip!! Maybe some pixie dust will convince the VA to hire me!!

and I'm going to work.

This is the most snow the girls have ever seen, and they are just loving it I played outside with them yesterday, and it was cold, but fun

slo - I am glad ya'll enjoyed the snow! This job is as a nurse at the VA Outpatient clinic. It would be Mon - Fri, no nights, weekends or holidays. If I get this, then Jim could cut back on overtime of give up his yard business.
I cannot believe we leave tomorrow!! I took the day off from work, so I will have plenty of time to pack! We can't leave until after Emily's cheer try-outs!!

Well, so much for the day off! I was supposed to be off, but my boss came to me yesterday and asked me to please work. So, I am going in for a few hours. This is not the plan I had!! So, a lillte more stress here!

I'm glad you got so much done yesterday! I wish I had. I got lots and lots of laundry done but not a whole lot of anything else done. Oh, well, I'm sure it will wait for me!

Have you thawed out up there yet? We got 6" of snow yesterday and the boys can't wait to go out and play in it this afternoon. They haven't wanted to "play" in the snow all winter but for some reason they all decided yesterday that today would be the day. I have to work so I'm miss the fun. (But I'll get to come home to a mountain of snow clothes!)

Life has been hectic around here. Wedding planning taking up a lot of my time. I went to Charlotte again on Friday and DD and I went shopping. She found her wedding dress and it is absolutely beautiful. A little untraditional, but once I saw it on her I knew it was the dress for her. If anyone wants to see it:

She made me swear that I wouldn't show the pic to anyone except DH. But when I asked if I could share it with my dis friends she said okay.

She's chosen red as her color and that's going to make so many things (like flowers and table decorations) so much easier!

We've also gotten the hall booked. Things are falling into place.

I love love love love the dress!!!!!
Stepharoniee, here on the DIS, just recently posted some of her wedding pictures, and her dress was almost identical to this, and I told her how much I loved it Red was my wedding color, and if they had something like this when I got married, I probably would have worn this myself Very beautiful!!!!

Did I ask you when the exact date was? If I did, and you told me, I'm sorry that I forgot already. If I didn't ask, when is the date?

We are still really cold up here But....the weather people are claiming that we should be seeing some 40's later this week I sure hope they are right - I hate the cold

I hope your boys enjoy playing in the snow today - Stephanie just loves it!!! Katie, on the other hand, does not Yesterday Stephanie went out alone, and Katie asked if she could stay in and watch a movie
