Good morning everyone!!

My little Katie is turning into quite the talker in the middle of the night

. I am a horrible sleep talker and used to be a sleep walker and this is very hereditary (I watched a show on this once). It's hard to want to ignore her when she does this because when she calls out, "Mommy!!" I have no idea if she's sleeping or awake All this talking she's doing is making for sleepless nights for me I now realize why my mom was so tired all the time

Stephanie gets like this too!!! In our house, I got attitude because I wanted Stephanie to comb her hair - apparently "bed head" is in style at her elementary school

James just avoids brushing alotogther! He wets his hair and then wears a baseball cap until he gets to school! I got glared at today because I told him to zip his shorts (yes shorts!! it will be 76 degrees today). How could I be so mean????? Morning is just such a fun time! Unless you've been up all night having conversations with a sleeping child! I am no good if I don't get enough sleep!! I like 8 hours! As much as I love babies, I am glad I don't do up at night right now! Sarah's curfew usually has her home just after I go to bed so I'm not even up waiting on her. This method is good as I like sleep!

We get report cards on Thursday! I am hoping everything is good. Emily thinks she is going to get her first B. Not bad since she's in 5th grade. We'll just have to see.

So how is everybody else's weather? We have a couple of cold days (30's) and now we are high 50's in the am and 70's in the afternoon. Hopefully this pattern will repeat itself at WDW in Feb/March! I will do Disney in any weather, but I'd rather not freeze!

I love the area we live in, but I do hate winter. I would love to wear shorts and capris year round.

I'm not sure when Stephanie gets her school report card, but she doesn't get letter grades yet. Her last report card was really good though. Stephanie did get her report card from CCD last night - I thought that was kinda funny. She only got an "S" (satisfactory for attitude) instead of an "E" (excellent) for attitude - I thought, I don't blame her, I wouldn't want to be there either on a Tuesday night. Good luck to Emily with her report card!!!

Yep - we're in shorts again today! Happy January! I like it here. I enjoy a few cold days, but on the whole cold does not agree with me. I don't even own a coat! When I need one I wear Jim's old peacoat from the Navy reserves. Whish is a really good coat! Of course you know what our summer is like since you've been to WDW!! It's hot & humid, then it rains, then it's hot & humid! Emily got capris with her Christmas stuff!! Swimsuits are out at Target - it must be January!

Yes we are Catholic and CCD is Catholic Education the Catholic children need to attend in order to make their first communion and confirmation. I don't know what CCD stands for exactly because I converted to Catholic when we got married. I was born and raised Lutheran.

The swimsuits are out at Target here too. I hate that actually. We have winter like weather here sometimes until May and if you need a pair of gloves you are out of luck. Kohls is the same way. I went to look for some winter like pajamas for Katie last Sunday, and none were to be found - very frustrating!!

slo - heck I've been Catholic my whole life and I can't tell you what the letters stand for! We have CCD on Sunday am. My kids always complain!! It's very hard to motivate them to go. My husband was Southern Baptist when we married & I tried his religion for while, but I just coldn't do it. He went to Mass with us for several years and then went through RCIA. So do ya'll do Mass when you are WDW? I travel with my mom and we always do. I think we have been to every parish in that area! We even went Eastern Orthdox once where they sing the entire Mass!


ooooh - maybe it stands for Catholic Children's Development?? I'll have to call my mom!!

I'm going to have to write this down - and then I'll sound smart!!! I can't begin to tell you how many Catholics I have asked what CCD stands for and everyone did this . Now I can say, "Confraternity of Christian Doctrine" and everyone will say, "Wow, she's so smart!!"

Yesterday here was so beautiful - the sun was out and it was almost 60 degrees. Today it is now raining and it will start snowing this afternoon - the nice weather is over!!!

DD 17 is not going this trip She wanted to spend Mardi Gras with her friends. DH also isn't going since he went last summer. He only goes every other year & this works for us! So me, my mom (and companion/partner/dreammaker for every trip) will be taking James & Emily. My 13 year old niece Haley will also be going (woohoo!!). We will be staying at POR in the Allgator Bayou section(trundle bed). SO far I've only made ADR at Chef Mickey's. We don't do alot of dining out. We do a few. We will probably do Trail's End Buffet - we had a GREAT time here last trip. Any suggestions? The Braves are there for spring training so we (I say that loosely as it was really my mom) got tix to go see them play the Dodgers. James is soooo excited! Haley, too! She plays fastpitch softball & is quite good! Emily decided to go so she can try to get autographs & pics for her "special" friend at school. They have had quite a bond since kindergarten these two. He is quite the cuite & apparently loves the Braves - so Emily is on a mission!
I am open for any and all suggestions!! We are always looking for something new & different for our yearly trek!

My DH is also a volunteer firefighter, going on 11 years now. He owns his own businesses during the day and is a FF every other available minute! He is now a captain and loves his job. He would love to do it full time. He never seems to have time to get all his work done but I don't think that he would change anything. Our 5 DD love what he does and are very proud of him.

Hope to see everyone at OKW soon. Jan 22-28!

I've just been reading back to catch up on all that I've missed since I haven't posted on here for a while!

Idroveallnight ~ Oh, how I wish we were going back to WDW in just a month. I know you've got to be soooo excited. I think it's also great that your mom is going with you. My mom passed away in 1990 but before that we always used to do stuff like that and I have many fond memories of when she went to WDW with us!!!

slo ~ I used to be a sleep walker, too. I can remember one night, when I was about 12, I had walked in a March of Dimes Marathon. That night I went to bed and must've been dreaming about the walk. Luckily, my dad heard me when I opened the front door but by the time he had put on a robe and slippers I was already about three houses up the road! Luckily we lived on a cul-de-sac and there wasn't any traffic. I'm still a sleep talked and DH laughs at me all the time about it.

We are having snow today. It's been in the 50's and 60's all week, then last night we had rain and now we've got about 4" of snow with about 2" more coming. I love snow but it's really windy and cold today!

eeyoresmountainpals - I never slept walked outside, but I did think that certain areas of the house where a bathroom when they weren't I was very young - all I can say is.....God Bless my Mom!!! So, is it still snowing by you today??

Idroveallnight - Isn't the Trail's End buffet the one at the campground? We've never been to it but I've heard it is fantastic! If you have any more room in your itinerary for a character meal the Crystal Palace is wonderful. We love it there!

I also very grateful that my Grandma at age 83 is young enough to still watch Stephanie when she doesn't have school - like tomorrow. My grandma loves having her over and Stephanie loves to go there. I'm so glad that my girls are able to know their Great Grandma - in fact, Stephanie's middle name is Irene which is my Grandma's name.

Irene was my Grandma's name!! DD was the only one of our kids that got to know her Grammy (my mom). And DD was only five when Grammy died. So that is why I always tell people to cherish grandparents 'cause you don't realize how lucky you are to have them in your lives.

Hope Stephanie enjoys her day at Grandma's tomorrow.
