It was so nice being able to come last night - I love having my employee home!!! :goodvibes

Karen - Sounds like you had a busy, but nice Mother's Day!!! :goodvibes
**I will keep you posted on what the MD says ::yes::
**When does Sarah come home for the summer?

Everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta get outside and do my walk
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes!!

I had my first chiropractic appointment last night. I figured I tried everything else for my back pain, it couldn't hurt to try this. The Dr is really nice and he seems to think he can help at least reduce the amount of pain I'm in. I go back on Saturday to discuss what he feels the best course of action would be. We'll see.....

Sandy - Glad your employee is back and you can have some more free time! I don't know about you but this time of the year (and next month too) are super busy around here!

Karen - How nice that your DD was home for Mother's Day!

Well I'm off to wake up the kids, I need to get school started soon.
Have a great day!!
Kim

Today is my day off!!!!! :woohoo:
I have a lot going on too ::yes::
This morning I go to the doctor to discuss the results of that glucose intolerance test, then I need to go to work for a short bit to place an order, than my mom and I are going to go buy our flowers (I love doing this, and it's one of my favorite days of the year), and then I have a lot of misc type things to do after that. It'll be a busy day, but still great, because I can do it at a relaxing pace:thumbsup2

I went and got my haircut yesterday, and I got approx 4 inches cut off - I love it!!!!!:goodvibes I was starting to feel like I had a lions mane around my face, and I was just tired of it!!!!!

Kimba - I hope the chiropractor helps with all your pain:wizard: I used to go to a chiropractor, and he really helped me. Now that Stephanie can be home alone for short periods of time, I may consider going to one again to help with my back and neck pain. Please keep us posted on what the doctor says on Saturday.

Karen - I bet you are enjoying your time with Sarah :) Tell her that I said "HI!" :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and get myself going - have a good day today everyone!!

Hello everyone!

Just thought I'd stop by to say hello! I try to keep up on all the posts so that I know what's going on around here but I just don't post like I used to. Gee, I guess I could be called a semi-lurker! :lmao:

All is well here. We are VERY busy....A.J. will be graduating from high school on May 30th and Matthew will be graduating from middle school on May 26th. Plus, A.J. is going to his senior prom on Saturday (he's taking a sophmore - and she also has Down Syndrome!) and Matthew has his middle school prom on Friday. Seems like there is something almost every day for the next two weeks.

Sandy - hope you get good news from the doctor!

Take care everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! James came home sick Monday, Sarah has been home and we bought a new car! James is ok - sinus infection, taking antibiotics. Sarah leaves on Friday - she will take classes this summer, so I only get her for a week. We got a 2008 Rav 4. I like it!

slo - I hope all went well with the doctor today! I hope you got all your errands run.:thumbsup2

kimba - good luck with the chiropractor. Living with chronic pain must be a nightmare!

eeyore - How wonderful about your boy's dances!! :dance3: and graduations!

My mom and I had a great time going flower shopping this year :flower:
We have a nice time every year, but this year was especially nice, because the girls weren't with me (that sounds terrible doesn't it?!). But when they are wish, I"m constantly telling them to stay by me, don't touch the flowers, no we can't have that, and etc. Yesterday, I could just do my own thing - it was great!!!!!! :woohoo:

Everything at the doctors went well. The doctor definitly doesn't think I'm diabetic, and he doesn't think I'm hypoglycemic either - which is a good thing!!! :) He definitly thinks I'm sugar intolerant, which means, my body doesn't like sugar, and therefore it fights it, when I ingest it, which is why I get the headaches. Before he makes a total diagnosis though, he's having me take my blood sugar 3 times a day for 2 weeks, to see what that shows. I don't have my little machine set up for today, but I need to get it set up for tomorrow. I need to take my blood sugar when I wake up, after I work out, and before dinner. After the doctor sees my log on the blood sugars, he'll be able to make his final diagnosis - so we'll see what happens!!!!!

Kathy - So good to see!!!! I wish you would post more often, we miss you here!!! :grouphug:
**Wow!!! AJ is graduating this year!!!! Time sure flies!!!!! Congratulations to him!!!!:cheer2: I'm so happy that he's able to go to the senior prom this year - that's great!!!!:goodvibes I would love to see a picture of him all dressed up with his date, please pm me a picture, or post one here. I hope he has a wonderful time Saturday :wizard: I can hardly wait to hear all about it!!!!

Karen - Wow, you have had a busy week so far!!!! I'm sorry to hear about James, and I'm glad he's doing better :) I'll send some PD his way to have him get better even faster!!!! :wizard:
**I"m sorry you only get to see Sarah for a short time, but it's great that she wants to continue taking classses - good for her!!!! :)
**Have fun with your new car - I love getting a new car!!!! :car:

Well, I'm off to get outside and start walking
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Good morning all! I am trying to get back into my routine!

sandy - I am glad you had a great day yesterday! I am also glad your MD visit went well.

See ya'll later!

Im glad that your doctors visit went well also. Its great that you dont have diabetes or another serious condition. Im hypoglycemic, but thats not really that bad. Basically it means...eat. Eat or youll get sick. Just like everyone else.

Im in the process of changing from PC to Mac and buying a new laptop. And in the middle of many many midterms, so Im very busy all the time.

I hope everyone has a great day.

slo- Oh what kind of flowers did you get?:flower3:

Hi All!! Just checking in. I'm in terrible pain today and sitting at the computer hurts so I have to work in spurts.

Sandy - glad to hear your Doctor visit went well! I don't take my blood sugar as nearly as often as I should, but here's a tip. Always switch the fingers you use. If you use the same one every time you test you will end up with one very sore finger!! Also try to get the blood flowing to your finger before you test. Wash your hands with warm water and dry them vigorously. That should help!

Gotta Run!! (um..ok..not Run but go) I'll talk to you all later!!

Kim

:surfweb:

I just love Fridays!!!!! :cool1:

Karen - How's James feeling today?

MK - :wave2:

CB - I bought lots of different flowers :flower: I have a flat of Vincas, 2 flats of impatients, several New Guinea Impatients, some spikes, and a hosta :) Now I need to find time to plant all of it

Kimba - I'm sorry you were having a bad day yesterday :guilty: I bet you are anxious to find out what the chiropractor has to say tomorrow. You'll have to let us know what he tells you.
**Thanks for the blood taking tip - I will use it:thumbsup2

Well, I gotta go work out
Have a good day today everyone!!

I'm up a little earlier on a Saturday than normal, because Kevin is leaving for Indy for the weekend. I decided to get up with him so I can say goodbye, and also workout a little earlier than normal on a Saturday.

Stephanie is having her first friend over to spend the night tonight, and she is bouncing off the wall with excitement :yay: She has the huge itinerary made on what her and the friend are going to do tonight - it's so cute!!!!! I just hope they have enough time - she's got alot of stuff on there

Well, I guess it's time for me to get off the computer and get outside
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Stephanie is having tons of fun at her first sleepover.
I made them Cheese Pizza Rolls and they are watcing Alvin & the Chipmunks. Pretty soon I will be making them popcorn, and then STephanie organized a treasure hunt for them to do - how fun!!!! :cool1: So far they are being pretty well behaved and I hope it stays that way (fingers crossed)

Have a good night tonight!!!

Hi all!

I love hearing about your DDs sleepover. I remember one of my first sleepovers and we all sat around and painted nails, watched a movie and giggled. Pretty stereotypical for a 9 year olds sleepover.

I just got home from helping my parents. They run a paintball business and I was helping run the event that was going on. It was over 100 degrees all day! :scared1: We were all sweating like crazy.

My mom drove me home tonight so instead of tomorrow so that I could get studying done and she got to take a shower rather than nasty campground showers. When we got home I couldnt find my cats. They were INSIDE of my box spring mattress. In one night they ripped the bottom and crawled inside! Im kind of shocked about why they did that. Its 100 degrees and they want to crawl into a small hot space?:confused3

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend!

:surfweb:

I just can't get over how good the girls were last night - I'm so proud of them!!!! :) They went to bed a little after Katie and I (approx. 11pm) and I thought they would be up to 2pm (they started PotC at World End at 10pm, and that movie is 3 hours long). But they must have been really tired, because after they went to bed, they talked and giggled for approx 15 minutes, and then I didn't hear from them again. It's now 8:30am and they are still sleeping - they must have been really tired!!!!! :faint:

I now waiting to hear the weather for today, because I really would like to get some planting done. Right now the sun is shining very brightly :sunny: and I hope it stays that way. I doubt I will get everything done, but it would be nice to get 50% of it done :flower2:

CB - My DH and his friends used to love doing paintball. He still has his paintball gun, and uses the trees in the forest next to use as target practice (boys will be boys irregardless what age they are  )
**Wow...100 degrees by you :sunny: What state do you live in again?
**Aren't animals funny - maybe the springs are cool against them:confused3 Wouldn't you love to be able to talk to them so you could ask them why they do the things they do.

Well, I gotta go and start planning breakfast so the girls can eat soon after they wake up. I'm making them chocolate chip pancakes, and I'm making me regular pancakes - yummy!!!! :goodvibes Oh...I forgot to share that Katie slept with me for the first time yesterday, and OMgosh, she is a wild child in bed - it shocks me that she doesn't fall out of her bed. I didn't get much sleep last night because she was constantly kicking me in the chest, slapping me in the face with her arms flying all around - it was unbelievable!!!!! It wasn't like she was having bad dreams, she's just a very very active sleeper - I don't think she's going to be invited back with me for quite some time:laughing:

Have a good day today everyone!!!

I live in California, near sacramento. Thats where I go to school, but I came from the central valley near fresno. It is much hotter back at home so I cant even imagine how the animals at my parents house were doing!

My parents travel around the state doing these paintball events. (they run a air fill station) My dad, uncle, cousin, dads best friend, and of course Marc are all on a semi-pro paintball team. Its a nice little reunion/get together on those weekends.

About your wild sleeper...hmmm. all I can say is ouch. I used to kick in my sleep and my sister would refuse to sleep next to me. I was in middle school and I shared a pull out couch with my aunt once. After the first night she said I kicked her so much that she made me sleep on the floor the next night!:rotfl:

Hello all! I am taking a break from laundry to post - ok, I just don't like laundry, so any excuse will do! :lmao:

celticblue - my son has paintball guns. He uses them in the backyard. He just informed me today that he wants to have a paintball party for his bday in June. He's pretty tough, so I think he will be fine. I am not to sure about some of his friends! :confused3 How much does it hurt?

sandy - I am so glad Steph's sleepover went well! Sounds like she is quite the event planner! How funny about Katie! Emily was always a wild child, she is better now. Of course she is also my sleepwalker! James has always been a snuggler with me, but when he sleeps with me & Jim, he beats up on Jim!
Did you get your planting done?

I am trying to arrange for Emily to do her audition/news shoot this week. Thursday is the last day of school so we have to hurry! We went to the mall to find something to wear. I didn't want her to look to "grown" with a suit, but I wanted her to have something a little more mature. I feel pretty sure her youth is part of her appeal, so hopefully we made a good choice. We got a cute short sleeved blouse at Express. She is going to wear it with some white capris from Anne Taylor (hand me downs from Sarah). I really hope it goes well. She is still a little reluctant. I did the bad paretn thing today and bribed her with two new books. All I asked is that she take it seriously and do her best!

Have a great evening!!

about paintball. Since your son already has some guns and has played he probably knows a little bit already, but does he ever go out to a paintball field and play? They require the players to chrono the gun so that the velocity isnt too high. If for this paintball party they get a group of people and go to a field together everything should be fine. It only feels like a pinch when you get hit and less if you wear camo or other heavy clothes. It leaves small bruises sometimes, but its not too bad.

Before my family got more professional with their paintballing we went out and played in the orange grove and my cousins gun way turned up much higher than all of ours. We didnt know how to chrono or that there was a difference when you changed the velocity of gun. My cousins gun broke skin on my sister and others. So I would say that its important to go somewhere that things can be regulated.

How old is your son?

What a productive day yesterday!!!!
I got 80% of all my flowers planted, and pulled tons of weeds - it was a great day!!!!

Karen - Good luck to Emily with her audition :wizard: I can hardly wait to hear how it went. I think what she is going to wear will be perfect :thumbsup2 What books did you bride her with? I wish I could bride Stephanie with books, but she doesn't enjoy reading

CB - That's interesting about the paintball guns. I didn't know you could change it - I wonder if Kevin knows this :scratchin

Well, I'm off to workout and start my day
Have a good day everyone!!

CB - Thanks for the info! James will be turning 11. We are actually looking at having the party at a local business and would be using their equipment, so I would assume they have things set correctly!

sandy - Wow!! Sounds like you worked hard! Are you sore today? Emily is very into vampires right now, which works out well because so am I! She got 2 teen vampire books. We both spent the remainder of the afternoon reading.
