We are going to WDW on September 4th! Come on now! Just three days too late!

While I am giddy about the new Frozen events that are planned for the Summer, I am also super bummed! My five year old daughter would be over the moon to see these special events!!!!

Would Disney really do something this big for just 8 weeks or so?

Who thinks this will continue and why?

My fingers are crossed!!!

Anyone else proactively rearranging their ADRs with the hopes that it will????

:cheer2:

We are heading down in late September. I would love to see this stuff continue through our trip. I wanna see it! That said, Disney does do things for a short period of time (such as the parties including he ill fated spring only pirate and princess or food and wine or flower and garden). If A&E stay as popular as they are it might be a good crowd draw and they might keep it going though, so fingers crossed! :thumbsup2

If it is successful, I think so. At least make a return engagement for the holidays and/or winter.

I was wondering about this. We'll actually be there starting Aug. 31st. But... our current plan is to do Hollywood Studios on the first. So....when Disney says "through Sept. 1st" do they mean that's the last day or is the day before the last day? (my head is telling me that the 1st is the last day, but I don't want to plan on that and be wrong!)

According to the Disney Blog, Sept. 1st is the last day. Your plans are fine!

I was wondering about that. We just made our ADRs for December, thus sort of locking in our park choices (not really of course, but it may be hard to get stuff now that we are past the 180 day mark). And we are planning to skip HS altogether this time because we did it last time and haven't seen AK yet.

If they are doing a bunch of special Frozen stuff at HS though we may have to reconsider. Grrrr. ;)

I have a feeling that may continue some of it as long as it remains popular.I doubt they'll keep everything though. That's a lot of activity to coordinate and fund during slower times of years. I just hope it continues through year end in some capacity as we'll be there in early December!!!

Honestly DHS needs a boost attraction wise so a frozen event this summer will certainly draw in the crowds ... I hope they do a holiday/Christmas version of this event. But wondering if it's more of a Star Wars event for a limited time and that's it on Sept 1st

I could see them keeping the singing show (and making it a tier 1 FP)
I dont think they'll keep the rest long term

Dustykins, our first day is 8-31 and we plan to be in HS on the 1st too. I am so excited about this. I just hope it isn't too crazy. TP just changed the crowd calendar from a 1 to a 3...

I keep hoping for this as well because we arrive Sept 5th! So we JUST miss this. I am pretty sad about missing it. We are going over Christmas too so I would be happy if they brought it back for then too!

No no no! The more they shove Frozen down our throats the more I devolve from "the movie wasn't that good" to "I hate that movie"...but I'm a Grinch I guess. On the plus side, those Frozen events will siphon crowds away from attractions I give a hoot about....aside from closing TSMM for the fireworks.

Our trip is September 22-28.

I would love to see them extend this event, or at least add somethings as a permanent (semi-permanent) addition. I think DHS is a great choice, it is needed badly. It would also help keep crowd levels up if they begin working on adding SW & Cars :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I do not think it will continue, nor do I wish it to. I also think there is a possibity of the stage show remaining, but nothing else. It may come back next summer though.

Sorry to put a damper on any wishful thinking but I don't think it will continue. When it ends you are running in to hard tickets at MK and then at Holiday time you have Osborne Lights and Candlelight Processional. I would be very surprised to see them keep the Frozen activities during all that. I'll never say never but my guess is it ends when they say it does.

No, I do not think it will. The stage gets taken down in Septemer for a while as it is classified as a temporary structure, and must be taken down for a certain period. Additionally, Osbourne Light work takes over the area around the Theater. This is one time event, so get it while you can.
