Calling all CR experts

We are leaving in 4 days for the CR. This is the first time we have stayed here - always mods before. Any last minute suggestions? We have a 14 yo DS and his friend along with myself and DH. We are there for 8 days and want to make sure we take advantage of everything we can. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks?!?!?

For one the arcade there is awesome, make sure they have some spending $ for that.
Also (i believe they still have it) there is a length of stay boating package, you pay pne price and get to use the boats for your entire stay there. It really is a great value if you enjoy taking the boats out. You can take everyone out on a pontoon or DS can take out one of the water mice.

You will love everything about the CR! We do! The pool area is alot of fun, in the past they have played music, gotten people togther to play vollyball next to the pool (on the beach), and had a great time out there, the CM's try to liven it up! The marina is the best lots of choices for sure! Also there is a basketball area, tennis, and Walking to the magic kingdom! Your a monorail ride to 2 other resorts with resturants and shopping of course! And we also spent a fortune in the game room (and we are adults)! The CR is an action resort no laid back it has a lot of pep if your 14 yr old needs entertainment your in the right resort!

There are a lot of spots to unwind also for grown ups to take a break. The grounds by the gardens are beauitful for a late walk, the california grille if very romantic at night! The view is spectular!

Can anyone explain the length of stay boating package? CR is a great resort and puts you in a disney mood. Theres no other like this one and the entertainment is non stop

I would suggest saving one night for the Electric Water Pageant (EWP). Find a place to see it (beach, California Grill, or even port at MK).

Also, the monorail being right there is fantastic! Easy access to MK or Epcot (they will love that).

As for the length of stay boat passes, I haven't seen those at Contemporary (but it's been a while, and we weren't looking in December). At other locations, you get your choice of any boat to use for however long you wish for as long as you are there (for the most expensive plan). Either call or visit the marina when you are there.
