Calling all Coffee People

We found the Starbucks at the Premium Outlet last June. It was our 8th day away from the Northwest and at least 95 degrees that day. We were fighting each other to get in the door first and order our double talls! We always bring a bag of Starbucks Blend with us on vacation but nothing beats having it made at Starbucks.

Sadly, I have been to at least 10 of the 17 on that list.... and the one at the Marriott World Center is duplicated on the list!

Tell me its still there, in the vacinity of the virgin records store??? It was there our last trip and we are looking forward to going back.

Oh, I am soooooooo confused!!!

My last trip was Jan 2005.

I go to Virgin and Wolfgang Puck Express a LOT.

It's not on the Starbucks website, which I check regularly for updates.

I have NEVER seen a Starbucks at DTD. Am I blind?? (possibly, but I have a really great nose for coffee)

The only coffee bar I recall is a stand to the right when facing Wolfgang Puck, about 2/3 of the way to PI, near the DVC booth.

I think that I will -sigh- need to book a trip to WDW soon to check this out and confirm for everyone!

I'm wondering if perhaps it is one of the "Proudly Serves Starbucks" kiosks/coffee bars rather than a true Starbuck's store?

Ok, it's time to call on Safetymom. Not that I don't believe anyone here, but Safetymom is always GREAT at getting us info first hand.... I consider her a
'mom' to lots of us on this board! :sunny:

I don't know of a Starbucks at PI, Westside or DTD. If you give me a couple of days I can check on it for you. I go to the one in the Super Target on 192.

WOW Safetymom you are the BEST!!! You replied in something like 5 minutes!!!!

I'll buy you a coffee at the DTD Starbucks on my next trip if you find one there! Heck, I'll buy you a week's worth!!!

Kona Cafe has the best coffee in Disney, and the best I have ever had. The pressed pot makes the difference.

Now this may be a stupid question but is this an actual pot of coffee or just a cup? Never been there and thinking of going on our teip in November!

Both, actually! The conventional French press is a glass pot with a press, but I bought my DH a great personal mug with a built-in French press from Starbuck's. It's one of the stainless thermal type, and works great!

What kind of coffee do they serve at the Boardwalk Bakery?

I'm pretty sure the Boardwalk Bakery coffee isn't instant as I had it on our last trip and thought it was pretty decent. Not sure what kind though.

As an Oregonian, this thread is really troubling me. I just figured since Disneyland has lots of places with good coffee, that WDW would also. I guess being in California makes a big difference. Starbucks isn't my favorite, but it's what I always look for when I'm on vacation because you can count on it always being pretty good. So I would love to hear news of any starbucks close by.

At the Kona Cafe, they give you a pot to put on the table. The server 'presses' it for you and pours your coffee. The pot holds about 3-4 cups, so you could share with another person. The Kona pressed-pot costs $6.99, but it is really worth it!

I am NOT from the West Coast nor have I ever been there. I do, however, REQUIRE lattes EVERY DAY!

My wife and I have a Starbucks Barista coffee maker and ALWAYS take it on our trips. Since we drive to WDW and always stay at DVC villas now, it's really convenient. We have to do this -- otherwise, we'd NEVER have any good coffee during our WDW trips! :sad2:

I LOVE the way you think!!! I appreciate ALL the great suggestions - and will definitely be testing all these places, but I have a feeling I NEED this machine! I'll need to ship it ahead of time, but that's a small price to pay for latte availability!!

And...I do know that people with good taste live in many places, not just the Pacific Northwest - thanks for sharing!

Mill4023 my list of Starbucks is from their site, and is accurate as of January 2005. The Premium Outlets or the Orlando World Center Marriott are the closest that I have ever found (true Starbucks, not just 'proudly serve' locations)

I'll sometimes grab a latte on my way from business to the parks, and it's amazing how many ppl come up to me and ask where I found Starbucks.

paging safetymom :wave2:

any chance of checking out the coffee situation yet?? if not, don't worry - I will make the big sacrifice and fly down to find out for myself and let everyone know!

Sorry I didn't report back from my expedition to DTD and West Side. No Starbucks to be found but you are welcome to take a scouting trip. :)

Anything else I can check for you? Looking for an excuse to visit parks or DTD can you tell???? :)

Well, thanks Safetymom for confirming NO STARBUCKS. I totally believe you, but I may just have to head down next week to confirm your post... :teeth:

And as always, I'll be bringing my filters and Starbucks coffee - just put it back into my suitcase for the flight home a few minutes ago...
