Calling all Coffee People

I am from NYC and though far from northwest..I too must have my latte! They are scarce(or ones worth paying for anyway!) Kona coffee bar was the exception..I also had one in the bakery to the back of France..I believe that one was good too(can't remember). If you need your daily fix I would consider staying at the Poly (LOL) :rotfl2:

Thank all all - better to be forewarned than suffer coffee jitters!!! This does indeed move the Poly up the resort choice list!

After reading all these great responses, I think it's time for me to drive over to Starbucks and....get that latte! :jumping1:

Best espresso drinks are from the coffee cart at Italy. Note that there are BIG differences bwn the coffee and espresso drinks.

Here is a past thread with my hints to find good coffee and espresso drinks:

Coffee klatsch

Is there flavored creamer in the resorts stores? We usually stay at OKW and I love flavored creamer, no sugar. I have been drinking my coffee like that for awhile and hate adding sugar and regular cream.
When I am at starbucks, it usually works to add flavoring and cream, but not as good.

I don't remember seeing any flavored creamer at AK lodge or POP.

I don't use it, but don't recall seeing flavoured creamer anywhere on site....

Sorry!

The lack of decent lattes at WDW is a huge gap that I wish Disney would consider filling. My gosh, you can find most everything else there, but I go into 'caramel macchiato withdrawal' the minute I hit the property!!

Most all of the places that serve 'lattes' just push a button on their machine and this foamy stuff drips into the cup :rotfl2:
At Epcot there is a stand that serves a fairly good latte ~~ it's over kind of between Innovations and The Land pavilion, if I remember correctly. There they actually steam the milk in a separate pitcher and have "real" shots.

If you have a car and can leave WDW property there's a Target just a few miles away with a 'Starbucks' inside........at that point, even a Target Starbucks will do :)

I think I chime in on all the coffee threads.............don't drink alcohol so coffee is my form of "cocktails on the balcony". I just bring my own coffee beans and grinder and have gone as far as shipping the french press for a really good cup!!I have had the coffee at Kona Cafe, its OK but I do not find it worth a trip there (love the food though!!).I have eaten at Fresh at the Dolphin which does serve Starbucks but it is their house blend and not really strong enough for my tastes. I really prefer a dark roast for a nice delicious cup. I think we all are aware of WDW's affiliation with Nestle but hoping at some point they can get a Starbucks or Peets kiosk or something somewhere on property!!Please!!!! ::MinnieMo

We drink dark roast also, made extra strong - that's why we bring our own every time. I can't stand light, thin coffee - I want my spoon to stand up - I want it so dark & thick that light is not visible thru my brew when I pour it. I had coffee in Morocco after lunch in Marrakesh that was good. Like Turkish coffee.....
If you run out of your own beans, you can buy some decent espresso roast in Italy in Epcot.

OMG. . . no Tim's . . .all us Canadians will be in withdrawl, walking around WDW like zoombies, searching for our Java fix, chanting Tim's. I've even heard we supply it to our troops :rotfl2: now you know we have a problem! And you know you have left Tim's land when they don't know what a large double double is!

Starbucks at pleasure island down from Wolfgang pucks. We always go there to people watch and coffee. Nothing like a Venti White Choc Mocha!! :cool1:

Do tell me where to find this Target!! 8 days in WDW I will NEED to have a fix! We live in a newly developed area so we are still waiting for civilization (read: STORES!) to reach us... we now call the whole center they just built 'Starget' because it has a Target on one end and my beloved Starbucks at the other... sigh...

gimme a double tall nonfat latte! :drinking1

If you have a car and go towards Lake Buena Vista there are a bunch of Buffets , Pizza places, Fast Food etc.. There is also a Dunkin Donuts / Baskin Robbins for those of you Dunkin Coffee Lovers! We stayed in Lake Buena Vista a few times On Palm Parkway and loved the fact the Dunkin Donuts was only a short distance! Lots of cheap souviners in this area also!

Okay, hope I can give you directions you can follow :)

Go past Downtown Disney out to the road by Crossroads shopping center ~ I believe this is 535 (?). Turn right onto 535 ... follow down to 192 ~ take a left. You will see the Target in a brand new shopping center immediately on your left. YAY!! Coffee :cool1:

Gosh, I don't know how I missed this in January!! I knew there was a Starbucks at Universal CityWalk, but have never known there was one at PI.

Starbucks at PI... Must be new, or I would have sniffed it out by now! It wasn't on the Starbucks website in Jan 2005 - I did find the new Target info there though.

Can anyone confirm that there actually is a Starbucks outlet in PI???? I may need to stay at SSR to try it out... ooooh, maybe a trip on the way??
