Good Morning Everyone! Took Dad to the doc last night, we had brought the xray print outs they had given us at the immediate care on monday. Doc thought he may have seen a small fracture so they took another set and it wasn't there. He said it must have been a shadow or something on the print out. However, doc told my dad very sternly he NEEDS to stay off of it. Dad will listen to him so I'm happy we went!

Thank you everyone for all the responses about the Tonga Toast! I think we will probably go to Captain Cook's b/c we have the dining plan and a TS ADR already booked for that day. I'm looking forward to it! Tomorrow I can do online check in!!

ID ~ wow you are one busy bee! Sorry to hear DS is still having bus issues. That has to be so frustrating. Does he need to go to a corner or does the bus stop right in front of the house?

Geffric ~ wow you are also one busy bee! Hope Eric feels better soon. Does he need to stay home from school?

Hi everyone! I had a really busy August and didn't stop by, but now I'll try to be back. I got really behind, and I don't know if I'll catch up, but I hope everyone has been well.

I went to Disneyland! I also did a tour of the Disney Studios and Archives in Burbank. Here's me at the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood.

I'll try to share more pictures, but so far I haven't done anything with the ones on my camera, only the ones I took with my dad's p & s that I took because it's smaller.

And when Idol auditions were here last week, I ditched work for 5 hours and went and waited and waited and got my pics with Simon and Ryan!

I love them!

I guess my other news is that my friend had her fourth little baby, a girl named Aviana Francesca-Marie. And their last name is hard, too! That girl is never going to learn how to spell her name! But she's healthy and cute.

Oh, I need to update my counter! I planned my WDW trip! Going Oct. 25-31, so we'll be there for both mine and my mom's birthdays!

*Luckily DSs bus picks him up at our driveway, it would be a real pain if it was at the corner. As long as they don't change drivers again I think we've got it worked out, hopefully, only time will tell.

slo - hope Stephanie had a great first soccer game!
*What is Aldi's price on bananas? I haven't been there in a while, our Jewel almsot always has them for 79cents/lb!

Hersey - hope your headache is better! Glad you like the teachers Alex has, makes school so much easier.

Good Morning Everyone! I'm so happy it's friday. Long day ahead of me. We have an event tonight at Millenium Park so I need to leave my desk by 4pm to be there by 5pm. (My boss wants to make sure we have time to grab some dinner so I'm very thankful for that) I just have to work until after intermission but that won't be until about 9pm soooo. yeah. I'm excited to start packing for our trip this weekend. Mike thinks I'm crazy but I'm not going to be wearing shorts and tank tops between now and when we leave. I work all next week and we have a wedding to attend on saturday, so really it's this weekend or rush the night before. I don't like to rush so yeah. I'm super excited!

Leigh ~ that's so cool you got to meet Simon and Ryan. I love American Idol! Glad you had a great trip to CA.

ID ~ That's great that the bus picks him up right at the driveway. Hopefully you won't have too many more problems.

Hi gang! Busy week but I have been keeping track of what you all have been up to!

Update on ds and the bus situation - the schedule did indeed change. He is now the first pick up not the last. But, he made it on time all week!

Today is his 1st Cross Country meet this school year. We learned last night the he is the Captain of the team! The coach told dh that he wasn't the best runner but has the best attitude! We are so proud.

Mac - Welcome back!

ID - sounds like you have had your share of bus issues, too!

DG - I was thinking about starting to pack to for the very same reason! Have fun at the event tonight! It should be a beautiful night.

Happy Friday to all!

It's still hot here....103 today. It cool off any time now!!!!!!!


Trip to DL was great, even without DH being with. Kids and I got to finally go on the Nemo sub ride! It was great!
Hardly any lines but it was muggy and hot.
Lots of orange skies along part of the highway from the fires. Made our skin look orange while driving.

DH and his dad had a good time in while in the Chicago area visiting.
However, his dad is becoming more and more intolerable and difficult to deal with.

Thank for all the well wishes. My headache did finally go away. It was one of my other favorite headaches, the hormone headache. I would rather a migrane any day of the week. With all the advil I took yesterday it made for a messed up tummy today.

DG I am glad your dad will listen to the doctor. I hope you manage to have fun tonight. I love this cool evenings after our beautiful days.

Id I hope you are feeling better.

Mac How's the ole knee? I hope your parents are doing well.

Mom You would have thought the school would have let you know about the route change. I am glad you got it worked out finally.

Well I am back..

Drove to IA and back ..in one day.. dropped Geoff off the stuff he wanted.. talked to him for a few minutes and then he was off.. he had a test today at 1:00 pm and then a paper due before he leaves..( he is going to OA Vigil weekend) .. but he looks good and is studying hard.. he said is was with a study group for the test today from 8 pm - 1 am.. then he crashed..it was great to see him,, but I did get a bit weepy.. won't see him until t'day .. plus well you understand I am the Mom and I just lost it seeing my baby ..


anyway.. drove back.. now the band is practicing here.. they are playing tomorrow at Carol stream.. in the basement of American Legion Hall. They go on at 6:30 pm.Pub Yahoo (American Legion Underground)

I've been to an American Legion for a Girl Scouting private event. But for that the small bar area was closed because we were there having a picnic. But also, it was in a separate building, not the main 'bar' building.

I guess it is possible they could have the bar closed during that time. Are there other kids/bands going to be there and playing? Is this some special event or they were just hired for a gig?

Evening all!! It was a beautiful day today!!! I am so glad I am off this weekend and get to enjoy the nice days!
We had Park a Palooza today. Once a year our park district gets the town businesses together and they get bounce houses and have booths set up for Tye-dying shirts, sprayon tattoos, and bean bag toss, tug-of-war, water bombs, and all sorts of stuff for the kids. They have a baseball game going and get a band. The stuff is all free for the kids. Then the area restaurants set up and sell sample sized foods and drinks. The kids had a blast. DS of course spent his afternoon sending water bombs flying!
Came home and mowed the grass. DH bought a pressure washer and cleaned the deck off. I can't wait for tomorrow-another nice day to come.
Paint, hope you had a great time at the cubs game. Glad to hear you won't have to cancel your trip. Happy ADRing.
Leigh, thanks for sharing. Looks like we just miss each other in WDW. Hope you have a great time. I got my ME paperwork in the mail yesterday.Love to see those Disney envelopes when a trip is on the horizon.

i'm up and trying to organize my documents for my trip.

i have been throwing so many things in a disney box the last 4 months with the thought of weeding through it and organizing it.

today was that day.

i had a panic attack when i couldn't find my disney UT tickets, past tickets on my KTTK cards, and my confirmation letter.

now after 3 hours of tearing the house apart, i found them....woohoo.

i guess you know what i am going to say next.....
now i have to clean up the trail of a mess i left behind during my search.
