Hi everyone!!
My throat is starting to feel better...finally. It was starting to feel better the other day but then I got an attack of acid reflux 2 nights in a row and that just killed my throat even worse.
DH's mom is back in the hosptial. She cannot catch a break. She has been really sick and dehydrated and nothing was really helping. And now she has a really bad kidney infection. The cancer is making her body so weak that she is having all these bad things happen to her. She went into the hosp on Wed afternoon and had to spend the night in the ER because no regular rooms were avail.
She got a regular room this morning. They are saying she should be released tomorrow. Basically they are just pumping her full of meds....again.
For irish dancer and anyone else worrying about their job or a job of a family member, I totally feel your pain and frustration. This economy stinks! We felt the first signs of it back in Oct 2007 when not only did DH's job slow down but so did our own business. Big companies were (and still are) pulling out of doing any building in the Chicago area, and all around the country.
Google was to build a huge building downtown...not any more. Microsoft was building huge warehouse size data storage buildings...they built one phase of it out of the four they expected to do. I could go on and on.
Something I haven't shared here...........DH had been laid off from his company since Nov of 2007!! He worked a total of approx 14 weeks last year for various contractors. And this past Dec 2008 we closed our own business after being in business for 14 years.
There is no work around here for construction workers. Those who do have work are extremely LUCKY!
So irish dancer I pray that your DH doesn't loose his job.

and tell him that I will keep his mom in my thoughts and prayers
Please continue to keep us posted on how she is doing.

) Enjoy the day with your son if you decide to take the day off next week. It is awesome to have a day when not everyone else if off. The museums aren't crowded and you can actually enjoy the time wandering around. When we went to the
2 dead mice. And the bonus not on my chair
Ouch!! Yep, it's hurting again. Not as bad as last week, but it's been bothering me all day.
Mike and I made it safely but the drive was the longest. It took us over an hour just to get out of the city! The Edens was awful! Then as we crossed the Mississippi, it started snowing and visibility was not so good! Alas, we made it here around midnight or so. This is the town where our college is so it's nice to be back and visit! Everyone is so nice! Well, gonna go grab so bfast so I'll hopefully check back with you peeps later or on Monday. Tomorrow is our drive back! Have a nice weekend!
