SLO - glad you checked in. Although I have been keeping up with your posts on FB.

HI to everyone..


It has been so long since I posted..but let's see..

Eric is now a Jr of U of Ill and interning/working at Deloitte this summer.
I did take him and some friends to WDW for their spring break. We stayed at Kidani, a first for us, and loved it. DH wants to go back to Kidani.


Geoff graduated college last year and has been working for a national political party as a field operative for elections. For about a year he was Midwest based, but since April he has been in SC, NC VA and Maryland. He currently is in VA.

Dh is still working, our basement got flooded ( again), so I am putting down vinyl, no more carpet to get soaked.

I took Geoff and we went on the EBTA 2013 on the Magic and then to visit my nephew in Barcelona. Wonderful cruise, so nice that I am going to do it again next year. I booked on board with a 20% discount and hopefully DH will join me; if not, there is always Eric.

He and I are going to WDW and the Dream in end of Sept/beg of Oct. Hopefully I will get together with MAC, and others that will be there at that time.

sounds like you have a very full life and very happy.

for me, same old same old life.
do my solo trips to the motherland and darkside in the fall.
i'm down to one parental unit that i take care of and still working at the high school.

each year i say this is it but i always return.
i think about the money for my trips and that motivates me.........

Chicago Friends, Hi!

Slo... your girls are so grown up and pretty. Sounds like you are able to spend a lot more time with them now that you have a new job. That's great.

My baby just turned 21 - waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. He is living in Logan Square still and seems quite content. Gave up the bike messenger job (prayers answered) after a nasty hit in the bike lane a year or so ago. He is now a coffee barrista and they just won "Best American Coffeehouse" at Navy Pier two weeks ago. Oldest son is 25. Graduated from Rockford College, did a year's work on masters, ran out of $, and is working at a media communications job. Lives next door in a house I'd prefer to sell, but then we'd probably never see him.

Husband still won't go to Disney World with me, so I'll be taking my next solo trip (not complaining) in mid November this year. Thanksgiving is weird this year date wise, wanted to switch back to Christmas Disney from Halloween Disney, vowed to NEVER hit Pop Warrner there again ~~ so........ new time and place. All Stars (where I normally stay) are remodeling food courts, so I'm going to stay at POP CENTURY for the first time ever. Looking forward to it!

Mac........ one of these years, I'm going in October again. I'd love to meet you.

rmom...I stayed at Pop Century after my first cruise on the Wonder (happened during the last Mousefest).

I'm going again in just over a week, staying at the Beach Club thanks to my BIL getting me a CM discount on the room, then I have a cruise early December, a week home, and then going again for Christmas down there with my sister.

I've got a busy Disney year! 4 times I'll be there! Makes me glad I bought DVC and have an AP now!

And I have to say -- Go Blackhawks!!!!!!

rmom50 I have points and an annual pass..let me know when you are going. I have stayed at POP and Love it..many times on solo trip, I have stayed there.felt safe and it was a great resort.


When I go with DH, he is a burger type of guy, so for my birthday I want JIKO..wonder if I can swing a solo trip in end of August??

What's everyone up to today? We are in downtown Atlanta because of dh's conference. There are fireworks in Centennial Park, but it's rainy. We are hanging in the hotel right now.

I am doing well. Thanks for asking!

My husband (Don) and I celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary last month.

Chrissy and Matthew are doing well. They are both 16 yrs old already!
Chrissy will be going to 3 weeks of summer school this month. She is special ed., so she is in the 8-year program at her high school. She has 6 years left now in the school program she is in.

Matthew has been getting straight A's in high school. He is still special ed, but he is in regular classes. He is still in band at his high school, so marching band camp starts up next month.
Will be going to WDW for his marching band trip for spring break 2014. Looking forward to it! Haven't been back to WDW since 2008.

Matthew is still a Life Scout. He got his Order of the Arrow last summer, he went thru the OA Ordeal last summer at Camp Napowan.
No Napowan this summer for him. He is taking a break from scout camping for now.
He is in a summer work program for 6 weeks though our high school district.

That is pretty much it from me.

My husband and I (married three months today!), are taking our next WDW trip in 11 days (for our honeymoon). I'm a total Disney fanatic, and while my husband (Joshua), isn't, he totally allows me to go disney crazy!

I wanted to stop by and say "Hi" before taking Stephanie to school for soccer practice.

We are gearing up for a busy weekend in our house. Katie has a softball tournament all weekend, and Stephanie has a soccer tournament all weekend.
Never a dull moment around here - EVER!!!

What's new with you guys?
Not much with us, because we are always doing softball stuff.
I am happy to tell you that one of our Chicago DISers just had her first baby. I wish I could remember her screen name, but I can't. We are facebook friends, so that's how I know this. Her daughter is beautiful!!!!

The girls go back to school here on 8/12 which is right around the corner I wish we could go somewhere before that happens, but with Stephanie's soccer schedule that's almost impossible

Well, I'm off to start the day - I"ll check in again soon!!!!
