slo - YEA for no snow! Let's hope you are spared today too.

Irish Dancer - I have tried the $1 promo on and off to. I haven't seen the video - ever! I stayed on late into Thursday night and vowed not to do it again. I keep trying though but not like I did at first.

DG and Mac - I don't think I have ever seen American Idol. I guess I better get with the times and watch it!

Better get back to work. I have a meeting in 6 minutes.

geffric and momto1 - I"ve never watched AI either. I"m so glad I"m not the only one, because I thought I was the only one that never watched this show I've never watched it because it's not on at a good time for me - I don't start watching any tv until 9pm.

Mac - I'm glad you missed the snow too

No snow but it is still cold.. this am it was -13 with the wind chill.. I am waiting for it to warm up and melt the ice in front of my driveway and open the windows.. yep open the windows and let all of the bad air out and the fresh air in..

I'm feeling so guilty lately, because I have had no desire to get up and workout. I'm so bored with my workout videos, and I because of this, I have no excitement to get up. I look forward to when I can go out and walk again - I always loved this!!!!


geffric - I really look forward to when I can open our windows too I love love fresh air - love it!!!! This is one of the reasons why I miss the walking so much, because I love having all that fresh air first thing in the morning.

DG - How is your back feeling lately? I hope it's better

Happy Friday Everyone! I had to get up extra early this morning b/c we have a black-tie event tonight at work. I actually curled my hair this morning and by the time i was done, all the curls pretty much fell out AND I was using tons of hair spray! I have very fine THICK hair. fine but lots and lots of it! Any who, I just pulled it back with bobby pins but if they don't stay in well I brought a clip just in case! It's gonna be a looooooooong day! but it's friday so that's exciting!

Slo ~ my back is doing much MUCH better! it still hurts on and off but overall I'm fine! Thanks for asking!

Hi guys! T.G.I.F.! I can't believe we've arrived at another Friday, thankfully the days are flying by. I'm so looking forward to the weather forecasted for this week. Maybe I'll even get to bring in our Christmas decorations from the front lawn.

Took DDs to Borders Tuesday because Kate Gosselin from "Jon & Kate Plus 8" was having a book signing. Not exactly what I was expecting and my thought that she is somewhat of a crab were confirmed, no eye contact, no smiles, little to no interaction with the 100s of people there.

Going to see "Coraline" tonight, DS8 has been counting down the days since he saw the first commercial two weeks ago! I hope he likes it.

disneygal - glad to hear your back is doing better.
*Hope you have fun at your black tie event tonight.

slo - I can totally relate, I have absolutely no desire to exercise in the mornings anymore. Can't wait for it to get nice enough for going outside.

geffric - I can't wait to open windows too!

mac - glad the snow missed you! I've never seen AI either, DD11 told me she's the ONLY one in her class that doesn't watch it. I guess we'd better get with it.

Hi gang! I am so ready for the weekend! DS has a basketball game tomorrow and my mom and I might go out for lunch. Tonight ds and dh are going to the high school for a basketball game for the the jr. highers to play in the pep band. They should have fun and I get some me time!

Slo - I totally agree on the fresh air. This weekend will be nice.

DG - Have fun at your event tonight. Sounds real nice.

ID - I thought Kate looked crabby! Too bad she really is! I hope your dd still had fun.

She was at my church last weekend- spoke at our 3 services. I go to a megachurch in the northwest burbs. Anyways, I never knew much about Kate Gosselin and her tv show and her children before last weekend. All 3 services were extremely packed We seat 7400 in our main auditorium and she sold out all the seats plus a few thousand more. Church service is free, no admission to see her last weekend. DH and I were extremely shocked how many peeps came to our church, 50% not from our church,to see Kate. She really has a huge following, which I didn't know. My DH said it was like Angelina Jolie showed up with her paparazzi, peeps were flashing alot of cameras the first 15 min she was being interviewed by one of our teaching pastors

Edited to add: She didn't seem crabby for our Sat night service last weekend. She had her hair and make-up done really nice tho. The interview was good. I've only seen about 3 episodes of the show and her kids seem to be in good behavior overall (at least the shows I
watched).
I guess for me, watching the Dilley 6-pack a few yrs back, on the news shows and the McCaughly septuplets, I am not much of a follower of the John and Kate Plus 8 show. Kinda BTDT with the multiples I just mentioned

Hi everyone. It's been a few days. Been reading just not posting. Work this weekend so getting ready for bed.
Glad none of my friends in the box got hit with any snow. And may we all melt off and thaw out nicely this weekend!
Back to walking outside for you Slo!! I took Tiggs out for a nice long walk today. He was most appreciative.
Rose, sounds like you had quite the celebrety in your midst. I have never been to impressed with any of the stars I've been in a close proximity to. Went to both Oprah and Leno tapings. Both were only interested in their guest and getting done. Had no interest in audience visits even during commercials. Saw Tom Hanks. He was nice. Taped a movie at our church. I guess he did speak with some of the congregation members who were inside the church that day to make sure nothing was broken by the crew. They all said he was very pleasant.
That's the extent of my famous encounters.

today it got into the 30's and the snow/ice is melting. I have a huge block of ice at the end of the driveway. When the sewer backs up, then the water goes down the street and freezes at the end of the driveway. Anyway, when Geoff got home from school today he took the pic ax and broke up all the ice so it will melt.

Today I worked on Eric's NHS application. Dh's birthday is today.Last night I made Chicken Jambalaya from my new american heart assn cookbook. It wasn't too bad - read that as it was good but I won't make it again. Scott said he expected it be spicier.. but it is getting used to eating foods without salt or fat. Since I am home I am cooking/baking and making things from scratch again ( did that when I was home and the kids were little) But this time with a healthier twist. Low fat/ low carbs/no salt.

Although i did make brownies/banana bread/pumpkin bread and cheesecake.. so I guess it is good that we are eating partially healthy so we can pig out on desserts.. LOL
