Weird. I think they just added trains on the BNSF. I wish I could leave early, but no, it's month-end, so I'll be here late. I refuse to stay too late, though. It's going to be a zoo! I'm going to try to be on the 7:40pm train.

they added a 3,3:30 and 3:55 trains and eliminated the later trains on the NW line .. :confused3 .. i asked and I may work from home..

Oh, I just looked, and they did cancel one train, it looks like, but it's not one I would be taking anyway.

they added a couple trains to the rock island line in the afternoon (i think a 330 and 345?) but are not running the 510 and 515 tomorrow! Luckily, i'm taking a half day so hopefully i'll be on the 1230 or 130!:cool1:

I finally had a chance to catch up on everything I missed last week.:)

Kim - That HSM3 poster for Kelly sounds so awesome. My girls would LOVE that!!!:)

Leigh - :cake: Happy Belated Birthday

DG - I'm glad you had a good time at Boo at the Zoo.
**Good luck with making those wedding bags. I bet they will be fantastic when they are all done!!:thumbsup2

Bunchkin - Any word yet on a possible offer? I hope it's what you and Tony are looking for.:wizard:
**Tell Lauren congratulations from me!:cheer2:
**I'm glad your garage sale was a success. I'm having one in the Spring, and I'm already starting to get things together and price it. This way I won't have as much to do next year.:thumbsup2

piglet - How did the big sale at work go? Was it as busy as you thought it would be?
**I'm sorry to hear your knees are still bothering you. Mine really bothered me after all the walking I did this past week. I probably should have taken my knee brace, but I didn't - not to smart on my part. Do you have a brace for your knee(s)? If not, you should ask your doctor about getting fitted for one - they do help ::yes::

Ronni - :welcome:
Please come visit often

Mac - It was VERY good that I repacked everything. So many people by me (Kevin included) tease me about planning to much, and obsessing over what I'm going to take. I told Kevin, while he was freezing in his shorts, and I was in my jeans, jean jacket, and gloves, that I was having the last laugh :laughing: {{LOL!!!}}
**I'm sorry I had no chocolate ice cream for you while I was gone. The only ice cream I had was a Mickey bar on Friday at Epcot. I was to cold to eat ice cream any other day :cold:
**Keep us posted on when your actual surgery date is. We'll all want to keep you in our thoughts and prayers

geffic - I did have a Dole Whip for you at The Poly (Captain Cooks). You could only get it in soft serve, not in a float, but that was okay, it was yummy!!!!! Katie tried it for the first time and she LOVED it!!! That girl is so weird, she loves fruit flavored things, but doesn't like eating actual fruit - go figure?!:confused3
**I will let you know about the CD when I dig it out of the suitcase. I didn't buy one for me, and it does look really good. It has music on it from the Pirate and Princess party too - have you gone to that?

ID - I'm glad you had a good time in St. Louis.:)

Donna - I can hardly wait to make a fire in our fireplace. Kevin just moved a ton of wood and put it by the front door for easy access. We are going to use the fireplace alot this year in hopes to save a little on the gas bill.:thumbsup2

Tiggggggggggggggggern - That's a bummer about Once Upon a Child not paying you more than what you got:guilty: . I was going to go there, but now that I read your post, I think I will just wait and sell my things at the garage sale.
**I love my Mammoth Crocs too. I wear them everytime I take Sophie outside, and they keep my feet nice and toasty. When we were at WDW we bought the girls a pair of Mickey ones - they are so excited!!!!:yay: :yay:

Well, I think that's about it for now.
Next on my agenda is to go through the mail from the store and from home. Then start paying any bills that need to get done - fun fun!!! I predict that I will be sitting at my desk until I leave here tonight.:headache:

Have a good rest of the day everybody!!!

I don't know if I mentioned it but the store Mike works at is closing within 6-8weeks. They are liquidating and most likely going to file bankruptcy. :sad2: Now I'm nervous about saving enough for the wedding. We figure they should last through thanksgiving and the christmas rush but not much after that... so who knows what will happen.

Hi all!!

Hunter is still sick. He's had a fever since Sat, but it seems to be finally dropping. No school for him today. And luckily there is no school tomorrow. He still has a cough/congestion though. That was already going on here between the kids I sit before and after school and DD. I guess it's Hunter's turn to have it.

No offer of the house. They put a bid on a different house. They didn't like our 'ski hill' of a backyard. Drat!!!

Tony's mom is not doing well health wise now. Her cancer is back but now it's in her lungs. It was in her bladder. I don't know what to think about what the future holds for both his parents.

slo Glad to hear you guys enjoyed your trip. We've been to WDW while it's cold and we actually liked it. Not having to deal with heat and humidity is a plus in our book! ;) I agree with you on those food prices! YOUCH!!
The PB&J uncrustables is a great idea!!
We quit going to Chef Mickey's a while ago. The food there is not the best.

disneygal Sorry to hear about Mike's store. Maybe he can start searching for a new job now. I wish him lots of luck!!

DMM Cute costumes for the kids!!!

Hi to all! :wave2:

Gotta run and start dinner soon. We're having a yummy Palua Deen recipe tonight. It's a beefy cheesey mac dish. It's tasty!

Hi guys! Wow, what a day. I'm totally loving the weather and so not looking forward to it ending. Will try to take advantage of these few warm days!

DS woke me at 3:47a telling me he couldn't sleep because his throat hurt, gave him a drink of water and back to bed. He was up again at 6am and felt very warm so I kept him home from school. Got him into the MD at 11:15a and both ears are infected! He was not complaining about his ears at all and I even asked him :confused3 . Even the MD was surprised. Another 10 days of antibiotics  . I gave DS breakfast in bed and he proclaimed me the best mom in the world! I'll have to remind him of that next time he's mad at me over something ;) .

Bunchkin - sorry to hear Hunter is still sick, it is definitely no fun. I hope he is back to normal soon.
*Bummer on the house, hope someone else comes soon.
**Will definitely keep your MIL in my prayers, my FIL is going through chemo for that now (2nd time).
***Yumm, that cheesy mac sounds great. Can you share the recipe?

disneygal - :guilty: so sorry about Mike's store closing. Can he start looking now for a new job?
*I hope you do get out of downtown early tomorrow, it will be crazy I'm sure.

Leigh - I hope you survive downtown tomorrow, I can't imagine what it's going to be like. Stay safe!

geffric - I'm glad you get to work from home tomorrow.
*You will love the CD, we got it when we were down there and I'm afraid we're going to wear it out :rotfl:

slo - thanks for picking up the shirt for me, did you get the check?

DMM - the kids look so cute! Wasn't the weather perfect for Trick or Treat!

Well, it's time to get things ready for tomorrow (going to start lunches tonight). If you haven't voted yet be sure to get to the polls tomorrow - every vote counts! Take care everyone! :flower3:

Yawn...........I got up at 5am today :faint:
I want to get to the polls by 5:30am, so this is going to be a quick post.

DG - I"m so sorry to hear about Mike's job:guilty: Please keep us posted on how things are going - we are always here for you when you want to talk or vent

Bunchkin - I would have not minded the cold either if we had warmer gear. Kevin had no pants, so he was freezing, especially when we were waiting for Fantasmic. I had my jean jacket, but that's not very warm, and the girls only had their sweatshirt. If I had my leather jacket, and the girls had their warmer coats, we would have enjoyed ourselves so much more. Oh well, we'll never forget this vacation that's for sure:rolleyes:
**I"m sorry to hear that Hunter is still sick. I'll send mountains of PD his way:wizard: :wizard:
**I"m also sorry to hear that you didn't get an offer on your house:guilty: I'll send more PD so you get a good buyer, and a good offer soon:wizard:
**I''m also sorry to hear about Tony's mom:guilty: I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers

ID - I"m sorry to hear about your DS being sick. I will send mountains of PD his way too:wizard: :wizard:
**Yes I did get the check - thanks!!!!:) I still haven't unpacked the suitcase that holds that shirt, but when I do, I will get it in the mail (it's so hard to get things done when I work until 7pm - which is everyday this week:guilty: ).

Okay gang - I gotta get dressed and get to the polls
I still don't know who I'm going to vote for, so I have a big decision to make by 6am, when the polls open.

Have a good day!!!

Good morning! This weather is so beautiful.

Remember to vote everyone. I can hardly wait for this day to end no more political ads or hearing about the polls.

Bunchkin So sorry to hear about the people not liking your backyard. Sometimes it is the silliest things pick on.:confused3 I do hope the right people come along soon.pixiedust: I hope Hunter gets better quickly.

what she said.. VOTE!! . I am tired of the negative campaigning and will be glad that the election day is finally here..,hopefully who ever wins can unify the country.

Bunchy- sorry about your house.. the right people will come along but it is so hard to wait.. some one will see the ski hill as a big plus..
sorry about your MIL. I will keep her in my prayers.:wizard:

ID - I"m sorry to hear about your DS being sick. I will send mountains of PD his way too:wizard: BTW i did come downown today.. BLAH!! but I am hoping to be on the 3:55 out of here.. or at least the 5:20..

morning to all hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the weather..

Morning all!! I will be off to stand in line soon. Figured I'd get the dog walked and wait until after 10 and hopefully, by then, those that are voting before work will be done, and the crowds will thin.
Bunchkin, sorry you didn't get the offer. :wizard: that someone will come along soon. Hope Hunter is feeling a little better today. I will say many prayers and keep your MIL in my thoughts.
Leigh, Geffric and DG, good luck with the trains and the crowds today. :wizard: that you get out of there smoothly this afternoon.
DG, sorry to hear your DF is looking at unemployment. I am with ID. I think I would be looking now for some place else to work before I lost this job. It is such a bad time to be unemployed.
ID, :wizard: for your DS. Hope he feels better soon. My DD has been complaining of a sore throat/sniffles. I have a feeling it is just sinus drainage for her. I hope. No fever, no redness noted to her throat. Both my kids had tonsils out last year for repeating strep, so I am hopeful that we are over that. Sick kids are no fun.
Hi Hersey and Mac. Hope the 2 of you are doing OK. Mac, keep us posted on how you are doing. Many thoughts and prayers going out for you.
Well, I had better get a move on. Taking down the Halloween decor today and doing some :laundy:
Have a great, sunny and warm day all.

Hello Everyone! It's off to Boston until Friday. I've got a training class I need to take for full hard disk encryption. Not sure if I'll be keeping up while I'm gone. Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy Election Day fellow Disers!
flagsmilie.jpg
Thank you all for the support in regards to mike's job. He's going to start looking soon. It just stinks ya know?
Bunchkin and ID ~ hope the kiddos feel better soon!:wizard:
Bunchkin ~ sorry to hear those people didn't like the back yard!
Crissup ~ safe travels to Boston!
Tiggern ~ hope you have a productive day!

Morning everyone! Don't forge to vote!
Some bad news, our offer on my dream home was rejected :( I kinda figured since you always start somewhere right? Well it was rejected because this house that has been sitting on the market EMPTY for 7 months already and the owner says MOTIVATED SELLER on the listing is only entertaining FULL price offers! :faint: haha!

I told the realtor that she shouldn't have wasted our time if that was the case. The home has the original kitchen (think avacado green, wallpaper galore and a wood paneled basement) and needed a new roof. BUT it has an amazing fireplace that connected the main great room to the kitchen. It was amazing and something I had never seen before in a home around here!

Morning guys! Looks like it'll be another beautiful day around here. Just home from voting, no lines. It was busyish but I was in and out in no time. DH went before work and had no lines either. Wonder how busy they'll be after work time this evening!

I too am glad the election is finally here, I'm competely sick of the commercials and wall to wall coverage on radio/news. Hopefully by tomorrow we'll have a result and it won't end up like past years.

DS is home again today, he was still running a fever late afternoon/eve yesterday so DH thought it best to give him another day, of course he's gone off to work and I'm here with him ;) . He seems much better today thankfully. Thanks everyone for all the PD for him!

DMM - sorry the offer was rejected, I guess the seller has a different idea of MOTIVATED than most  . Maybe if it sits for a few more months they'll really become motivated.

Crissup - safe travels to Boston!

Tiggerrn - I want to get the Halloween decor down today too while it is so nice out. Also need to rake the leaves as tomorrow is free leaf pickup, unfortunately though the HUGE tree next door has only dropped about 1/3 of it's leaves so I know I'll be out there again once it's done.

slo - don't worry about the shirt, as long as I know you got the check and have the shirt I can wait. I know what it's like trying to catch up on everything after vaca!

Well, I've got to get a load in the washer and tackle those leaves so I must run. Have a great day everyone! :flower3:

I wanted to see Barack Obamas speech last night, but I just didn't make it - to tired and fell asleep. Kevin gave me a nudge when he came on the stage, and I opened my eyes, and then they shut again - just to tired!!!!! :faint:

Our whole family was really into watching the election results. I let Stephanie stay up to see him win, and I'm glad I did (I didn't let her stay up to see him speak, just until 10pm, which was long enough to see him declared victorious). This is a historic election, and I'm she is old enough to possibly remember it.

Bunchkin - How is Hunter doing today? I hope he is doing better:wizard:

HERSHEY - I forgot to post this Monday. You mentioned last week (the day I left) about hoping that Katie woke up easy and she did - I was so shocked!!! She popped out of bed so quick, and got dressed so easily, that I thought I had a different kid:laughing:

geffric - :wave2:

TTTTTTTigern - How is Kellie doing today? I hope she is feeling a little better:wizard:

Crissup - I've never had been to Boston. I hope you have a safe trip - we'll see you when you come home :wave2:

DG - :wave2:

DMM - I'm sorry to hear about your offer being rejected:guilty: Keep the faith - another great house, a better house, will come along soon. I know this, because the same thing happened to us. We found a house we loved, and the owner really screwed us, we almost got a lawyer, but I'm glad we didn't, because we found the house we have now, and I love it so much more. I have faith the same thing will happen to you:wizard:

ID - How is your DS feeling today? I hope he is better:wizard:

Well, I gotta run and get this day started
Have a great day today!!!

Morning everyone
Late night and early mornings somehow give me the most energy! What an historic election huh?! Very exciting news. Have a great day!

Thanks for the kind words Sandy! Sometimes we just want to give up hahah! Then something happens to turn it all around :) We may just wait it out a bit, but we'll see! The neighborhood is just doubly important since Autumn starts school in September. So we want to be right there!!

Have a good one!!

morning chicagoland homies.

it's quiet in my house now.
no more phone calls with prerecorded messages.............woo hoo.......

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: Hope everyone had a safe evening last night! I was happy to get home early! I voted and went home to relax. Oh, and I watched the movie Get Smart! It was great though a teeny bit long! Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of my mom's passing so i didn't do much! I was going to visit the cemetary but when I got home, my dad was home so I decided to stay with him! I know my mom would have understood! Well, I need to get some work done! I'll hopefully be on here throughout the day though!:goodvibes

HI all!!

Hunter is still sick. No school for him today and he'll be staying home tomorrow too. I already told his teacher that this morning. His fever did return Mon night and into yesterday. So not much sleep for him or I as he coughed most of the night and hurled too. Poor kid.
Today has been better though, the fever seems to have dropped. It was 102.6!!

Thanks for the kind words about Tony's mom and the sale of our house. :goodvibes

slo I was too tired to watch Obama speak, let alone watch any further news. I am suprised that you were still undecided right up until yesterday morning!!

DMM Sorry your offer was regected. Something great will come along again. :thumbsup2

disneygal I'm glad you and your dad spent time together yesterday.

irish dancer I hope your son is feeling better!!

Tiggerrn Hope it's only Kelly's sinuses that are bother her!!
We took our Halloween stuff down on Saturday.

Hersey I'm with you on no more political commercials!! Did you know that in Austrailia politicians can only campaign for 6 weeks??!!!! I'm all for that for the next election!!! :)

Crissup Safe travels to you!!!

Well, time to get Lauren out the door for karate.
