Hi guys! St. Louis was fun, got to see friends I haven't seen since I retired from teaching last year. It was a bit warmer down there too so that was nice.

Leigh - I hope you have a GREAT day!!

DMM - I can't believe how much Christmas stuff is already out there in the stores, ugh! I LOVE Christmas but Halloween isn't even over yet for goodness sake .

mac - hmmm, I'm sure Sandy is enjoying another wonderful day in the World - lucky her!

Bunchkin - on your potential home sale, that would be great!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! My parents went out of town on Monday (my mom's birthday!), but on Sunday they gave me a cake, because I looove buttercream icing. So I ate the pieces with the flowers (the most icing ) and brought the rest in to work today. And my co-workers had gotten me another cake, with Minnie Mouse on it! So now we have two cakes, and everyone has to eat a piece this afternoon. (My old boss said that she almost baked me a cake last night, but luckily she found out they were buying one, or we would have had three cakes! ) For lunch we're going out. I picked a Mexican restaurant over at the Sears Tower. I want some queso fundido! So I'm having a good birthday so far!

And when I was coming into my building, there was a store (an old Ethel's Chocolate, but now they have Dove and M&M stuff for some reason) that was selling everything for $1! So I got a ton of chocolate! It was a tiny little store and it was so crowded! I'm sure they're out of everything now.

Karate night here again, every Wed that is.

Last week the kids had a testing night and Lauren earned her first belt. It's hard to explain, but they start with pins and work up to belts. She was able to skip several levels because of the test she took. And Hunter is doing a great job too.

No word yet about the potential house buyer. We haven't heard yet from our realtor.

I have AMVETS coming Friday to pick up a few bags, I took some stuff to Once Upon A Child last week (was disappointed, though. I had Ariel, Buzz, Belle, PeterPan, Tinkerbell, Power Ranger Red, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Mickey Mouse costumes all with accesories; a Columbia coat, Thomas toddler bedding with 2 valances, pillow, extra blanket, and wall decorations, and I am not sure what else they "took" but all they gave me was $47) It's more worth giving away and writing off. And I dropped off 2 boxes of Kyle's old clothes for my nephew's little boy. I feel I have successfully cleaned out the kids' closets!!
Slo, I sure hope you are having a great time on your vacation. Sorry the weather isn't really toasty there. Of course, it's totally not toasty here either!
My beloved DD and DS got me new CROCS for my birthday last week. The ones with the fur inside!! They have been wonderful this week. Highly recommended!

Good Afternoon Everyone! thank goodness i have tomorrow off... i feel like this week was never going to end! i have a doc appt at 845 but after that, i have nothing in particular to do! i'm excited. i need to go buy more yarn though. I'm making bags for the wedding (for more details, see my pj). I had two balls of this off white color left over from a baby blanket i never finished so i was going to use that for a bag b/c i knew i had plenty... so the first ball ran out last night on the way home and i can't find the second ball ANYWHERE!!! I figure though if i can't get the same yarn (fortunately it was one of the no-dye lot type) i'll just finish it in a different color and keep it for myself. that or i'll unravel it all and use it for accents on the other bags....we'll see I was able to start another bag though b/c i had a brand spankin' new ball of pink yarn... (note, the bag only uses one ball of the red heart brand... the one i ran out of was a different brand and apparently thicker even though the balls looks the same size) so now that i've bored ya'll with my crocheting dilema I will leave you to enjoy the wonderful world of Dis.... have a wonderful afternoon everyone!

Good Friday Afternoon Friends! Slow around here lately! Just got back from some errands! It's a beautiful day out, probably the best halloween weather we've had in a long time! I drew a cute face on my pumpkin! I was going to carve it but decided drawing a face would be much easier. Well, Hope everyone has a safe and nice Halloween!

our town has trick and treating today from 3-5.
we don't have any littles in our neighborhood so our street will be quiet.

good thing for the nice weather, kids won't have to wear winter coats over their costumes.

Good morning!

What a beautiful day yesterday was. Today should be good also just not as sunny. That is ok with me. I just don't want the cold.

Today is a full day of house stuff. Cleaning the upstairs carpets and raking some of the leaves. Anyone want to join in on my fun filled day?
