Crissup, thanks for the pix. You two looked like you had an enjoyable time. Did you prefer Halloween to the Christmas party?

Definitely!! While I think xmas is more festive at WDW than Halloween, WDW definitely puts on a better Halloween party than they do a xmas party.

I have no Katie this morning - she's at my MIL's (it's always so weird when one of them isn't here). I have a Chamber of Commerce breakfast at 8am, and it's always easier for Katie to have her spend the night a Grandmas - this way she doesn't have to get up early. I won't see her until 7pm - I'm going to miss her!!!:guilty:

paint - I wish I could let Sophie out alone, but I can't - she's way to little. I'm terrified of something carrying her off, because we have so much wildlife around here. Lately, I've been seeing this huge owl in the am - that thing would love to pick up my little Sophie:eek: So I will always have to take her out:guilty: I'm not looking forward to winter :cold:

DG - You are about October, how Kevin is, about the month of May (did that make sense:confused: ) He is huge auto racing fan, and May is all about the Indy 500. For one month he is in racing heaven.

HERSEY - :wave2:

Donna - Things with the employee are so far working out well. This job takes such a long time to learn (if you want to learn it all correctly) so it will be a long while before she can be alone, or do things without me watching. But that's okay, I'd rather take things slow and her not mess things up, than rush her, and have her make alot of mistakes.
**Thanks for the congrats to Steph - she's very excited!!!!:)
**Sophie is doing well, and she is so good. It doesn't seem natural for a puppy to be so good, and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop :dog: I think alot of it, has to do with the fact that she is with me all the time, so she doesn't get away with anything. I really do need to post pictures of her!!!

Bunchkin - What made Lauren sick? I hope she is still fine today:wizard:
**Are you speaking of the funnel cakes by The American Adventure? I've never had one, because if I get a snack, than the kids want a snack, and then they won't eat their dinner, so no one gets anything. I'm glad you told me they aren't good, because now that the girls are getting older, they are better about eating their dinner, even after a snack, than when they were younger, and I would be tempted to get one (did that make any sense - I feel like I'm talking giberish this morning).
**Thanks for the hugs about my hands, because they really do bum me out. I get so tired of people saying to me, "It's not that cold yet!!!" and then I have to explain to them why I'm wearing gloves when it's 65 degrees outside. Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it, so I better get used to it!!!!

Crissup - Bummer about the headless horseman - he's pretty cool to see. Hopefully he'll be there the next time you go!!

geffric - Good luck with that long weekend :wizard: Does Eric enjoy band? I loved band when I was in highschool - it gave me alot of great memories!!!:goodvibes

Leigh - You'll be leaving WDW when we'll be coming. What day do you leave? We'll be arriving on Saturday, October 25th. :cool1:

Tiggggggggggern - I need to get some of those hand warmers. A nurse suggested those to me last year, and even gave me one, and it was great:thumbsup2 The only time I'm outside for a long time is when I'm outside while Steph is waiting for bus - they would be nice to have then!!!!:thumbsup2
**12:30 tomorrow will be great - I'll plan my work accordingly:thumbsup2

Well, I gotta go get ready for my breakfast
Have a great day!!!

Morning everyone  wow, I can't believe how fast this week is going by! I've just been busy with Romans birthday coming up! How cool is that?? I can't believe he's going to be 1 on monday.

Has anyone had their family portrait taken by Edward Fox photography? We have a shoot set up in 2 weeks, but we have to go all the way downtown for it. Blahhh! hhaha :)

Evening all!!

Just got done doing the dinner dishes and have a few minutes to surf the net.
Usually DH does the dinner dishes but he was working late today. We've always had the 'I cook it, you clean it up' rule at our house. Works out good for us.

slo I think what made Lauren sick was the lettuce I put on her sandwich. I think. It looked a little like it was ready to be thrown out but then again it kind of looked ok still. :confused3 But I'm not totally sure it was that at all. :headache: Regardless, she is fine now.
We've tried the funnel cakes at both Epcot and MK (at the Sleepy Hollow snack place). Most recently, Sleepy Hollow. They powers that be changed the recipe without notifying the person in charge of Sleepy Hollow (we got the whole story while we were ordering!!). In fact, it's the chef at Cindy's in the castle that is charge of the snack place. We just happened to be there on the particular day when they changed out the mix for the new one!!! The people working there were busy trying it out and trying to perfect the making it of it, when the chef walked up to see what was the problem. They did NOT taste good at all. Then the next time, a year later, when we were there we tried one again. Hoping they had changed back to the other supplier. NOPE!! :sad2: It still was bad. So now we don't get them there any more.

Tiggerrrrrn The kids only get off for the 13th. Not the 14th. Drat.
What about election day or Veteran's day in Nov? Or a Saturday?
Sorry those pregnant people came in and made you work!!!

DMM Happy early b-day to Roman!!! Lauren's b-day is Monday too!! :thumbsup2

Leigh Sorry you got sick. Swimming will do that to ya once in a while.

geffric So is your son playing in the marching band during half time of the game he is playing football in??? :confused3 I'm confused!!!

Hi to everyone!!! Even the lurkers!!!!! :3dglasses

HA ha Ha..

No, he is playing football for the 5 pm game ( sophmores) and then showers and changes for the 7:30 game ( Varsity) he does marching band.. he is a busy guy.. after school he had football practice until 5:30 ish and then has marching band practice until 8:30ish.. he gets home by 9 or so.. hungry and tired.. I pack him 5 sandwhiches for the day, apple, granola bars, cookies and bananas..

Sk8Leigh october is such a great time to go.. where are you staying??

DMM happy birthday to Roman.. Really it is a year already?? WOW time flies.. how is the house hunting??

happy B'day to lauren too.. bunchy - how old is she now??? 8? or 9???

I guess this weekend I am going to have to break down and buy a winter coat.. it is way to cold...

Did you all watch the debate last night?
I did - it was a pretty good debate!!!
I still don't know who I'm going to vote for, but it was a good debate.

DMM - It's so hard to believe that Roman is going to be 1 already. Time flies to fast!!!!:guilty:

Bunchkin - I"m glad Lauren is better today :) I've pushed food to the limit too, and then I get nervous about getting sick. My biggest thing is milk. I sometimes overbuy when it's on sale, and then I don't drink it fast enough, so I push it to the limit. Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems yet.
**I will definitly avoid those funnel cakes!!! I love a good funnel cake (at the latest fair I ordered one with extra powdered sugar - yummy) and I would be so disappointed if it was nasty!!!

geffric - Is Eric going to the Homecoming Dance?

Well, I gotta run
I have a cold, so I"m not working out today
You should have heard how many times I sneezed yesterday - it was crazy!!!!:upsidedow
Have a good day today!!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: sorry i didn't post yesterday but i had a doc's appointment (annual) in the morning and didn't get to work until noon thirty.

let me tell you, i was so thoroughly excited about the cubs AND the sox making the playoffs this year and they are both doing terrible!!!! i am VERY disappointed. :sad2:

My nephew's 3rd birthday is this weekend! he is having a dinosaur themed party! i'm excited b/c i used to LOVE dinosaurs when i was little! i need to go get him a gift tomorrow!

well, anywho, have a wonderful day everyone! hopefully it will warm up a bit for the weekend! :wizard:

Hi all!

Right now I have the worst sinus headache!! :headache:

Tomorrow we are taking DD downtown to celebrate her birthday, which is on Monday. We're taking her to the new American Girl Place store for afternoon tea and added the birthday party package to it. Then we are going on a carriage ride and then over to Lou Malnatti's for dinner.

slo I never have to worry about milk going bad here. Hunter is a big milk drinker.

geffric Thanks for clearing that up for me!! I'm suprised how late band practice is!!
Lauren will be 11 yrs old on Monday!!! I'm beginning to feel old now!!

disneygal Have fun at the dino party!! :yay:
We're disappointed in the Cubs too! Last night's screw ups were unbelievable!!! :sad2:

Gotta run! DH is home and he brought dinner!!! And then it's off to Girl Scouts.

:hippie:

Bunchkin Tell lauren Happy Birthday from Alex and I
18.gif

I don't like that the Cubs are now going to have to play catch-up I really hope a miracle happens and they pull it off.

Got to get back to dinner.

Bunchy--> Happy early birthday to Lauren too!

Geffric, house hunting is still scaring me into building my own home! hahaha!! Nahh it's not that bad, but I will admit sometimes I just want to run fast and sometime I fall totally in love until we walk into the basement.....and you smell moooold!! Good thing my husband has awful allergies or I wouldn't know a thing!!! :)

We've always had the 'I cook it, you clean it up' rule at our house. Works out good for us.
Same RULE here! Even if he grills, and I 'cook' the sides. He may not get to it every night, but he does do them, eventually. No dishwasher here, EVER, in my life, except DH. ;)

Nicole already knows, but for the rest of you Disney/HSM3 fans - My DD, Kelly, tonight won the WGN HSM3 Trivia Sweepstakes! Her PRIZE: GRAND PRIZE WINNER: (1) One Grand Prize Winner will win a 2-day, 1-night trip for four to the World Premiere of High School Musical 3: Senior Year in Los Angeles! The trip includes airfare by Northwest Airlines, single hotel room with occupancy for four, four tickets to the World Premiere (to be held Thursday October 16 at the Galen Center on the USC campus) and four tickets to the VIP after party event. Total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of grand prize trip is $4,650. All other expenses not listed including but not limited to taxes, gratuities, phone calls, incidentals, meals and beverages, etc., are the sole responsibility of the winner.

She was bouncing around the house when she heard! She is SOOO excited!!! (Does anyone here know what to wear to a Premiere?!)

The ladies I spoke with tonight, from WGN and Hollywood Blvd Theaters, were soo nice, and they're going to try and get us an additional night to stay (at the Sheraton), to relax maybe. As it is right now though, we would leave AM on the 16th, attend the premiere at 5pm, attend the after party, and return the next day. Whirlwind for sure! Let's hope for another night's stay just to recover from that!

(Now, if the Cubs could just win TWO when THEY'RE in L.A. this weekend, ALL will be good!!! LOL)

:grouphug: to all!!!

Kim How exciting for Kelly. Alex will be jealous. I think if you just wear something nice you will be fine. I don't think you need to take sequins or long dresses.
Yes I agree the Cubs need this win. They didn't get this far on good looks ;)

I hope today is a nice day, this house needs a good scrubbing. Last weekend's fiasco put me behind. Ohwell it will be Salvation Army's good fortune to come and claim this stuff.

DMM Looking at older homes has it pluses, you don't need to worry about settling.

Bunch Dress warm it sounds like it is going to be chilly downtown. I hope Lauren likes her carriage ride.

I'm so glad it's Saturday - I"m so tired of being at work until 7pm.

Little Sophie just had her first feel of frost underneath her paws :dog:
I don't think she liked it, because she was shaking (I'm sure because she was cold). I can't believe we had frost - I guess the rest of my flowers are going to go now, because this frost will be bad for them.

DG - Have fun at your nephews party!!!:cool1:

Bunchkin - Have fun going downtown tomorrow. I can hardly wait to hear your review of the new AG Store. Is Lauren getting a new doll, or just things for old dolls?
**The milk thing happens when Kevin and I don't know the other is getting milk (when it's on sale somewhere) and we end up with 4-5 gallons that all expire at the same time:eek: Kevin can't drink milk (he's lactose intolerant), Katie can't drink much (it's plugs her up - I dont know if you remember all her issues with that), so it's up to Steph and I to drink all that milk in like 2 weeks:eek: That's alot of milk!!!!!

HERSEY - I need to scrub my house too, but that will wait until I come home from vacation. The next couple weekends are going to consist of winterizing my yard. I need to finish pulling out flowers, cutting down hostas, putting away lawn furniture, and etc. I hate saying goodbye to summer, and even fall with doing this:guilty:

DMM - Try and not discouraged about the house-hunting. You will be amazed when you walk into the right house - you'll know it right away. That's how it was for me with both of my houses - especially the one we have right now:)

Kim - OMgosh!!!!! That is such awesome news!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: A big congratulatons to Kelly - what an great memory for her!!!!!:goodvibes I don't know what to wear - a nice dress I would imagine. I can hardly wait to hear all about it after you return.

TTTTTTTTTTTiigggern - So good to visit with you yesterday. Please come visit me anytime - I always enjoy the company:goodvibes

Well, I gotta get going and put some jeans in the dryer
Have a good day!!

Hi guys! This is going to be quick because we leave for the airport in one hour!! We did the surprise reveal after lunch and the kids freaked out, screaming and bouncing around. They are SOOOO excited!

Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating this week!!

We'll be back next Sunday, will be back on then to give a report for those going later in the month.

Have a great week everyone!!

ETA: Bunchkin - here is a copy of DD7 in her costume, I made the skirt and belt thingie. The shirt came from Once Upon A Child.

Stephanie served her first mass ALONE:eek: yesterday, and she did great!!!!!:thumbsup2 I was so nervous for her, and my hands were even cold and clammy:laughing: I was so proud of her when Mass was over, and she received SO many compliments. One lady we know (we sit in front of her every Mass) bought her a rose (the Knights of Columbus were selling roses after Mass) for doing so good. Stephanie was beaming with pride:goodvibes It was a very nice moment for her!!!!

BYE ID!!!!:wave2:
You are already gone, but I still wanted to wish you a great trip!!!!
I can hardly wait to hear what the kids said when you told them you were going - I bet they were SO excited!!!!:yay: I'm sure you will all have an awesome time, and I can hardly wait to hear all about it when you come home!!!!:)

Well, I gotta go - the girls are having a small battle
Have a great day!!!!

Just a quick question...
Any Six Flags coupons out? We get the ones for St. Louis but are heading to Gurnee next weekend. Anyone want to join us?

Morning everyone

what perfect weather we had this weekend!!

We aren't getting discouraged in the house hunt as to more overwhelmed :) there have never been this many homes on the market in our area. The good thing? I fell in love with one!!! The bad thing?? They are in no hurry to move and overpriced the house by alooooot. They are selling by owner and figure what they hey! hahaha! They are building a new home that can not be started until after the winter since they are still finalizing architure plans or whatever, I kind of tuned him out when he told me they are looking at a move date of closer to February or march :faint: at the same time it could be okkkkkkkkaaaay for us, since we are just looking and not really dead set on moving annnnd we have the big trip in April to Mexico. Oh well we told him we would keep it in mind. On the plus side, this family is soo down to earth and fun, and we go to the same church and we may have made new friends! hahaah!!

We hit up the apple orchard yesterday and it was AWESOME weather and sooo much fun! After that we went to a berry patch and picked raspberries and they are yuuuummmmmy!! Gabriel kept sneaking them when we were not looking! I had to finally explain to him about the washing thing! hahaa. The kids had a blast being able to pick their own fruits and then we have been baking a pie and cooking cinnamon apples this morning and for breakfast the most divine Apple Cider donuts ever! Yeah it was a good weekend. :) One of those you will look back on every now and then!

Best part is this orchard is like 5 minutes from our house, so it's perfect to go to several times in the Fall and we just toss the kids in the wagon while we are there and it gives them a bit of a boost to reach the trees!!
