DMM..it's nice to have those days you will treasure. Are you guys still planning on going up to Door County soon? That is one of the places we enjoy in the fall season.

Speaking of fall, we went yesterday to the Apple Festival in Long Grove. It was a gorgeous day, and we had a great time. I do love fall, just wish that winter didn't come next.

I didn't get my outside work done yesterday, because of the rain, so I cleaned inside the house - it felt good to get that done!!

Good Morning Everyone! What nice weather we had this weekend! Saturday I ran a bunch of errands then brought mike lunch at work, which was nice b/c i wasn't sure i'd see him later in the day (which i did)! Yesterday the party was great! Alot of people came! my dad and i bought him this remote control dino thing.... al likes it alot but i'm not sure my bro-in-law likes it. my sis thinks its neat.

i am thoroughly disappointed in the Cubbies but am happy for the Sox! I hope one Chicago team makes it to the World Series!!


Kim ~ that's so exciting for your DD. I would be bouncing all over the house if I won a contest like that too!! Was the contest just enter your name and info or did she need to do something for it? I agree with Hersey, as long as you wear something nice you should be fine! I bet Kelly might want a nice new outfit to wear though! How old is she?

Slo ~ Does sophie have thick fur/hair? i can imagine it would get quite chilly for her b/c she is so small. my bud sometimes refuses to go out if there it is too cold or there is snow and ice. he'll just go in the garage

I really wish the sun would come out and it would warm up a little. I didn't even get out this morning with my dog for a walk. Just don't like the chill. Guess I'd better get him out this afternoon.

Well, I had better get a move on. I want to get into DS room today and clean out his closets/drawers. I need to get stuff to Once Upon a Child this week. A bunch of outgrown Disney costumes are clogging his drawer. Now would be a good time to get them out!

Any Six Flags coupons out? We get the ones for St. Louis but are heading to Gurnee next weekend. Anyone want to join us?

I thought about you today, and I still have coupons from Lunchables boxes -they are only $10 off an admission when you pay full adult admission. The reason I still have them, is because online deals were better. If you want my coupons, I will send ASAP tho!

She had to answer a trivia question each day last week, so there was some involvement on her part, for sure! ONE of her answers won tho! Nice outfit? Please dont encourage my DD!! She's 10 going on 21!

Tonight is The Living Rosary at our Parish, and I'm looking forward to participating in it. Each person is a Rosary Bead, and when you say your part, your candle gets lit (the whole church is dark), and when the Rosary is complete, it's a beautiful sight to see. It will be a nice way to spend the evening


DG - I"m glad the party went well
*Sophie doesn't have thick fur, in fact, she doesn't have fur, it's more like hair. She doesn't shed, and her hair gets greasy, and nasty just like people hair after not washing it for awhile. I need to give her a bath once a week to keep her looking nice. When it's gets really cold, I think she's going to have to wear a sweater when I take her for a walk. I"m hoping that if she's cold when going to the bathroom, that she'll do her business really fast, so we can get inside fast

piglet - where are you going apple picking? We are going this Sunday, and the weather is looking perfect!!!

Tiiiiiigernnnnnnn - Do you get a decent amount of money at Once Upon A Child? I have so many things that I could take there, but I wasn't sure if I would get more money from them, or from the garage sale I'm going to have this Spring.

Good Morning Everyone! this cold weather and dark mornings make it exceptionally difficult to wake up in the morning and be chipper!

Kim ~ Sorry about encouraging your DD! I'm excited for her! It will be such a wonderful experience that I'm sure she will always remember!

Slo ~ Bud has hair too but it's a little more course than human hair. He doesn't shed and needs baths every so often! he hurt his paw last week-ish and it's been in a little cast for the past week or so. It came off yesterday bc the vet said it needed to air out. we still need to be gentle with it b/c it could start bleeding really easy. B/c of this, he is starting to look really shaggy. It will be another few weeks until we can take him to the groomer poor guy, although he'll be warm when he goes outside!

Dgal and Slo- My pups are furballs! we keep Bandit's (the older dog) fur shortt- it's called a "puppy cut". They both definitelyhave fur, tho, not hair. I've beenletting Cosmo (pup) out without me (fenced yard), but I don't know all the time if he's done his business or not. The only way I feel safeletting him on the carpet is if I know or not. The joys of puppyhood!

DMM- Ds kept eating strawberries when we went picking. Last year, when we went apple picking, we were all eating them! We were way out in the middleof the orchard, so oursampling wouldn't be caught. Plus, a little dirt never hurt anyone!

Just got done at the gym and then took the pups for a walk. Hmmm...think I've earned a piece of that pumpkin pie I made last night!

HI all!!!!



Just a quick drive-by today.
I need to get out the door soon to pick up kids at school. Today is newspaper club at the middle school. Then I have to make it back home for DS's bus.


The new AG store was a lot of fun. There is more hands on experiences to do there now. Example: make a shirt for your doll, buy crafts for you & your doll to make. The hair salon is over twice the size of the old one. Cafe is HUGE and there is a private dining room now for parties. There is a doll hostipal drop off now too. A sweet treat counter with a small amount of seating to buy a snack or drink. The period doll areas have really neat displays that are set up really cute and have neat little movie clip running in them. It is, of course, much larger than the other store.

We had a great time. There was lots of special events going on since it was the grand opening weekend. Lauren got to make a few free crafts to take home. And one of the book authors was there too. We had a great seat in the Cafe by the window, great view.
Then we took a carriage ride right across the street. Got to see a really talented guy singing in a park off of Rush, across from Jilly's Too, singing Frank Sinatra toons. He was in a Cubs jersey to boot! The guy had a great voice.
Then we went into the Hershey store. Soon after we left downtown, stopped in Bolingbrook on our way home and ate dinner at Johnny Rockets.
Lauren had a great day Saturday and yesterday for her birthday.




I'll be back later tonight or tomorrow, not sure, got a meeting later tonight for Girl Scouts cookie parents. Gotta run.

I's a little soggy out this morning. I am so happy I have a fenced yard and I don't have to go sticking my head out for those dogs

Bunchkin Glad you all had a great day for Lauren's birthday. Alex's birthday is saturday. Where does the time go. He is going to be 14 My baby!

I've been sleeping so good lately - it's hard to wake up in the morning

The Living Rosary last night was very nice, and very packed!!
The CCD Kids participated, so that meant many of their parents stayed, which was nice. I've never seen The Living Rosary be standing room only.


DG - I"m sorry to hear about Bud I hope he get better soon

paint - Sophie gets a puppy cut too This reminds me to make her a grooming appt.

piglet - If you see me Sunday, stop and say "HI"

Bunchkin - I"m glad you and Lauren had a nice time on Sunday It's also good to hear a nice review of the new AG Store. Kevin and I will have to take Stephanie some time soon.

One of the great things about the AG store moving to the Water Tower Place is that the guys went into the mall to keep themselves busy! They headed to the Cubs store to shop!


Hersey Are you letting your almost 14 yr old sit in the front seat of the car yet? Or are you still playing 'Driving Mr. Alex'??


Kim Already told you how cool it was for Kelly to win, but I'll say it again!!!........WAY COOL!!!!!!! Hope you guys have a great time! And I hope you all get some sleep tonight before that early flight!


piglet What is this orchard you mentioned? Do they have a web site?


paint We have Coke cans with $20 off at fright fest. We have a ton if you want them. I'm sure you'll be passing through the area so you're welcome to them. I'll double check the details of the can.






FYI The Field Museum is free this Monday, all exhibits free.
