HI all!!!

The kids and I have been hiding out indoors the past couple of days...avoiding the heat!

slo Don't push yourself on that big workout if you start to feel any pain.
Hope Steph has fun today to Haunted Trails. I know the one you are talking about. I haven't been to that one since...forever!

Tiggerrn A play date would be nice. And your place is good too! :thumbsup2 Let me know what dates you have coming up that are free for you guys. ::yes::

disneygal Can't wait to see that pic of your cake topper!!!

paint How was your last server test with the manager?? Hope it went well!!! :goodvibes Oh, and did he leave you a tip???

mac Consider yourself lucky to go 11 and 1/2 days!! :thumbsup2
Call on your MRI....sometimes they are just slacking on those call backs!! ::yes::

TTFN!!! :wave2:

Hi kids I'm home! WOW I'm tired. I hope no one had any crisis's while I was gone.

It was warm but not unbearable. It only rained one evening for a few minutes then no more rain for the entire trip. A little rain would have been welcomed when we were standing in line. I thought the crowds were managable. Toy story mania is a definite must do. Alex and I loved it.

I heard we had a couple of good storms here. My neighbor lost a large branch luckily it missed their cars and house. Glad I wasn't home.

I'll check back later I have to do laundry.

Welcome home Hersey!!! Can't wait to hear about your trip!
Mac, I will fill you in on my brief trip shortly. I believe the other homie has a report started on the trip reports board. I did get my pictures uploaded and can post some (I think). I will have to check that out.
Just a brief synopses.... It was HOT!!! One CM told us on his way into the park his car temperature reader thingy said 101 degrees.:scared1: We were at California Adventure that day and were blessed to be standing in line for Toy Story next to a nice couple with their young son. Our kids began chatting and so we did as well and they had one of the spray mister fans and were generously sharing their cool mist with us. Bless them again wherever they may be.
I'll fill you in on the rest later. Always so much to do here at home and never enough time. :rolleyes1
Night all!!

hi chicagoland homies....

i did get info on my mri late this afternoon right before dinner time.

who are the nurses in this thread.
i forgot.

Something happened with my alarm clock, and we got up 1 hour later than normal - not good!!!! :sad2: Kevin is normally gone, when we got up today - so he's late for work :guilty: His day is not starting off well :sad2:

Looks like we are in for another beautiful day!!! :sunny:
That's great, because the girls and I are going to have some more pool time :teeth:

Crissup - I'm so glad you posted about the Joliet one, because I asked the daycare where the kids were going, and they said Joliet. So I called Kevin and told him not to go meet STephanie, because she's not going to be there. I never would have asked, if you didn't post that - so thanks!!!!!!:)

DG - I would love to do the Disney Marathon by January 2010. If you want to do it, you need to decide early, because it fills up and closes so fast (2009's is already closed, except The Goofy, which is when you do the 1/2 and full in the same weekend). You need to walk a 16 minute mile in order to be in it, which is no problem for me at 4 miles (in fact, I've gotten myself up to a 13/14 minute mile), but I will really have to train to do that for 24 miles :faint:

Mac - How are the MRI results? Is everything okay with you?

Bunchkin - I'm not going to super push myself (no running), I'm just very briskly walking. I'm to nervous to run right now - maybe after a couple more adjustments I'll try again:rolleyes: .
**How's everything going with selling the house - have you had any more lookers?

HERSEY - Welcome Home!!!!! :wave2: I'm glad your trip went well, and you had basically no rain, and the crowds weren't to bad. I can hardly wait to hear more about it :)

Tigggggern - Wow, you did have a hot day there :faint: I love that kind of heat when I'm at the pool, but not when I'm out and about - it's makes me feel dizzy sometimes. That was nice of that family to help keep you cool :)

Well, I gotta get outside and get walking - have a great day today everyone!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: I went to bed early last night and still had a hard time getting up this morning. However, I'm blaming it on the fact I kept waking up in the middle of the night. I feel pretty good now, much more awake than I was yesterday at this time

Slo ~ sorry your alarm didn't go off. Do you have a link to the Disney Marathon site? I've never clocked my mile but I think I will start training now... maybe if I can't do the 2010 (b/c the wedding would be that april) I could do the 2011... wow, I can't believe i'm already planning something 3 years away.

Hersey ~ Welcome home! Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Mac ~ hope everything is ok.

oh, I can't believe I almost forgot... a pic of my first purchase for the wedding... the pic doesn't do it justice, her ring looks blue but it is really clear. I LOVE it!!!

Happy Wednesday, all! Looks to be a gorgeous, sunny day, my fav kind!

Hersey, welcome home!!!! Like everyone has said, I am really, really looking forward to hearing ALL about your trip.

Slo, I hope you continue to feel better. I'm very impressed with how much walking you are doing, and how you are sticking with it, even though you don't feel all that well. You go, girl! (Mark & I went up to Door County for a few days for my birthday in June, and we have gone up to Lake Geneva a couple of times, too. No Mackinac Island trip plans for this summer!)

Mac, you are in my thoughts. I hope all is okay with your MRI.

Bunchkin, having gone thru the whole "house for sale" thing a few times, I hope you can find someone that is the perfect match really quickly. I know it's not fun to have strangers walking thru your home.

TiggRn...that is WAY too hot for me...even if it's a "dry" heat!

DG, what an adorable picture!!! Thanks for sharing!

Geoffric...haven't *seen* you here lately, hope all is okay??

Shout out to all, have a great day!!!!:yay:

Mac ~ I am not a nurse, but do know a bit about MRIs if that is any help.

Hello to everyone else! My kids are gone at their grandparents, so I have been enjoying the quiet. We left them there last Thursday and will pick them up on Friday.

Something happened with my alarm clock, and we got up 1 hour later than normal - not good!!!! :sad2: Kevin is normally gone, when we got up today - so he's late for work :guilty: His day is not starting off well :sad2:

Ugh, that happened to me last week. I think I must have shut my alarm off instead of hitting snooze (you know, in that sleepy state where you think you'll actually get out of bed now :rotfl: ) and then I woke up at 7:45am, when I should been about to get on the train or even on it already! :scared1: Luckily I was able to make the next train, and didn't get a parking ticket. :thumbsup2

I haven't posted here in a while. I don't think I ever said anything about my bowling or my work presentation. I'm officially the worst bowler in my department! :woohoo: :cool1: :rotfl2: I was only the second worst in the first game, though, but then my wrist got tired, so I really went downhill in the second game. :rolleyes1 And my presentation was fine. (Hmmm, maybe I have already posted this? )

I've officially placed the order for my shades and blinds. So maybe in about a month or so I'll get them.

From my friends in Indy...the DS2 broke his arm. :sad2: He was climbing up the side of their slide, and fell off. His cast has dinosaurs on it. He'll be in it for about a month. But it's not really stopping him from playing, much as they'd like him to slow down. They stayed at my house weekend before last and he was still running around. And the DD8 is on an elimination diet, because she's gotten stomach aches all her life. They're trying to figure out if it's a food allergy. So her diet is severely restricted for the summer, and unfortunately, it looks like she might have gluten and dairy allergies. :guilty: Poor baby. And poor mommy, because that's a lot of extra food preparation. :headache:

I didn't really do anything for the 4th, but on Saturday I went shopping all day. :yay: I'm not always in the mood for it, but I was then! After I went to Home Depot and finalized my shades, I went to Fox Valley. After Taco Bell, I went to TDS, and got a lot of stuff on sale. :woohoo: I got an Oswald canvas wall hanging thingie that I'd looked at before (and then I had to carry it around the rest of the day :sad2: ). It was marked down from $30 to $4! I got a t-shirt for $2.99. Those were my best deals, but I got a lot of other things, too.

Then I went to Victoria's Secret and got a lot of things on sale there, too. (That was the word of the day! :thumbsup2 )

Then finally I spent hours at Penney's. I got this top that I love, but it seems too dressy to wear anywhere. But I couldn't pass it up! I got a few other things, too. I had fun!

Hersey, RosePrincess, and Tiggerrn2 - I'm glad all your trips were great!

Sandy, where's your morning thread? :confused3 Hi Chicago Disser's! :) I still read almost everyday, but don't post too much any more.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: not much to report today... very tired and excited to be going back to iowa this weekend. two of mike and mine's college friends are getting married back in the town we went to school (Decorah). So i'm REALLY excited to see all my friends who I haven't seen in 2 or 3 years. so needless to say i won't be on at all this weekend so i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stays cool... it's suppose to be a real scorcher this weekend! :wave2:

Good morning!

My car started to over-heat on the way to work yesterday. When I was finally able to add anti-freeze, it took the whole container, so I must have a leak.

Great news! My folks got their dog back tonight. She was found about 3 miles from where she had last been seen and aside from weight loss, seems to be doing great. She was on her own for almost a month, and I am just so happy she is finally home.

Thank goodness she is alright. I'm sure she is glad to be home too. Congratulations.

that is wonderful news to hear!
i bet the entire family is thrilled.

it's a miracle she was found.

I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday:guilty:
My mom had her foot operated on, and she needed to be at the hospital by 8am. Before that though, I needed to get the girls to daycare, and getting them up and going that early is a HUGE challenge (especially Katie) - they were not happy :sad2:

My mom did well with her surgery, but she is in a very large amount of pain now. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, because she needs them. My dad is no help to her, because we believe he has Alzheimers (he won't admit it to get help - he tells my mom she is crazy). My poor mom asked him to fill her ice bag, and he didn't know where the ice was - he's gotten really bad. I told my mom I would come spend the night, and she firmly insisted "NO", so I told her that was okay, and if she needed anything to call.

After my mom's surgery, I was with her for awhile, and then I treated myself to the show - a show alone :goodvibes I went and saw the Indiana Jones movie, and boy was I disappointed :guilty: (sorry to those who liked it). I love the Indy Jones movies, and I was really looking forward to this - I was actually bummed out when I left the show:guilty: . Oh well, at least I got to go see it at the show:rolleyes:

piglet - What great news!!!!!:woohoo: :yay: I'm happy for your parents, and the dog!!!! :dog:

DG - Have a great time in Iowa this weekend:dance3:
**I love love love your cake topper - awesome!!!! :goodvibes

BigV - So good to see you!!! :wave2: How've you been???

Leigh - Sounds like you had a great shopping day on the 4th. I'm glad you got some good deals:)

Donna - Thanks!!!! :) I'm really trying hard to live a healthier life, and that's why I haven't quit. Trust me, there have been many times that I wanted to, but then I think of the weight I've lost, and it keeps me going :thumbsup2

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta go and workout (in the house today - it looks a little wet out there this morning).
Have a good day today!!!

Slo ~ I will keep your mom in my thoughts. I am also sorry to hear about your dad, that can not be easy for any of you.

Off to get the kids soon. Today is Kevin's 14th birthday too, so I am anxious to get out there.

I just looked at my United flight itinerary for October, and I lost another hour! :furious: I was returning at something like 7:30pm, then it was changed to 6:10pm, and now it's 5:05pm! :sad1: I hope it doesn't get any earlier! That would really start to cut into my plans for the day. At least we're still non-stop, and this time they put all all in a row together like we were on our original flight.

This is like a roller coaster. I still have 3 months to go!:scared:

Well Chicago crew, Katy and I are booked for the Marathon weekend in January. She's giving the Minnie Half Marathon a go. I'll be stumbling about with a large container of Diet Dew while she's running. Hopefully our good luck with AirTran stays that way and they don't reschedule us around. We're actually flying in on my birthday (THU 8 JAN) and flying back out that sunday, staying at POP. I think we're going to scout out the different resorts to see which one we want to stay at for our honeymoon this May...we're currently leaning towards CR.

Any other hockey fans about? I started playing back in HS, played for college, now I'm still skating a few days a week. I'm a die-hard Red Wings fans and never miss up a chance to watch em play in town. I only ask as they're on the brink of announcing an outdoor game between the Blackhawks and Red Wings 1 JAN 09 at Wrigley. It's going to be awesome!
