Boys are doing a camping in the rain, snow and cold this weekend. Geoff's Eagle ceremony was wonderful. I post picture later. I got a new laptop and need to get used to it. Also had to buy a new laptop bag as this is a wide screen and it won't fit in my old on

What a great picture! Congratulations to him, once again, on making Eagle Scout.

Hello Chicagoland from Crystal Lake (soon to be either Woodstock (with apartment) or McHenry (with House)). What the heck is it doing snowing on April 12th?

Geffric Great picture. Congrat's again to Geoff on making Eagle. That will look very nice on his resume.:thumbsup2
How's the new job?

Mac Funny how your eyes and mine first go to the cake :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm doing some much needed spring cleaning.

Feeling much better this morning! :goodvibes
Not feeling like a Mack truck ran me over is an improvement!!! :goodvibes
Thanks for all the concern peeps!! :goodvibes

We watched the movie 'Sweeny Todd' with Johnny Depp last night!!!
Has anyone else seen this yet?
I've seen the play, with Angela Landsbury, a long time ago.
The movie was excellent! Very bloody though.
Johnny is an excellent singer in it!!!

irish dancer I hope AKV calls or email soon!!

geffric Great pic!!!! Congrats again!!!
Hope the new job is going well!! Sorry for the sore feet!!! What about getting those gel inserts for high heels?

Hersey I noticed the cake too!!! :thumbsup2 I thought the left corner looked tasty!!

Hope all of you still working on your taxes get them done on time!
I'm still waiting to hear from our accountant to see what the final numbers are!! :rolleyes1

We went out to the mall last night and had dinner at TGIFridays - my meal was great, but the music in the restaurant was really really loud  The girls brought it up first, and then I was glad it wasn't only me thinking it. I had a coupon for a free appetizer, and then we had a gift card, so our meal cost us $9.95 :woohoo: The meal I ate was the Parmesan Crusted Chicken - it was so yummy!!!:goodvibes

After dinner we went into the mall and shopped for new gym shoes for me, and new white shoes for Stephanie (I realised yesterday morning that Steph had no shoes to wear with her First Communion dress:eek: ). We successful and found them all :thumbsup2 Then we just bummed around the mall for awhile and bought a couple other items.

The mall always cracks me up when you go on Friday and Saturday nights. So may older middle school, and then the highschool kids are there, and they think they are so cool:cool2: Did we think we were that cool at that age??? :scratchin I'm sure we did!!! Some of the girls we see are dressed like . It's cold outside and some girls are in short short skirts and flip-flops:eek: Were we that goofy??? :scratchin I was in my young 20's when we went downtown to the bars (I wore ridiculously short skirts:eek: but not flip-flops:sad2: I wore heels) I definitly know I wasn't younger than 21 when I dressed like this - my family and Kevin's family know to many people - someone would definitly have seen me, and then everyone would have found out about it:scared1: I never worried about this at Excalibur in my 20's:laughing:

HERSEY - We have no flooding problems :woohoo: But that creek is mighty high!!!!

Bunchkin - How are you feeling today???? Sending tons and tons more PD your way :wizard:
**I have not seen Sweeney Todd, and I would like to. I'm not sure if it's something Kevin would like, so I may watch it sometime while he's not home, or he's watching a race.

Mac & piglet - :wave2:

Leigh - Good luck getting your taxes done :wizard:

ID - I'm sorry concierge isn't returning your calls:mad: CRT breakfast is very expensive, and we've done it 4 times now:eek: I'm not sure yet if we are going this year, but I would like to. I gotta say, the food is just okay, but the girls love it, and that's why we go. The cost is crazy expensive, but my pictures and their memories are priceless, and this is why we return. I hope you all like it when you go.

geffric - Congrats on getting done with your first week at your new job. Dress shoes hurt my feet too, so I don't wear them much:sad2: I've seen many ladies downtown walk in gymshoes, and keep their dress shoes at work, or carry them with them. I think that's what I would do if I worked downtown ::yes::
**I love love love the picture - thank you for sharing that with us :goodvibes

What the heck -

Welcome to our happy thread!!!!
We are happy you came, and we invite you come more often - we would love to get to know you!!!

Well, I gotta run and get ready for church
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Morning all. Did not make it to church this morning so Slo and Mac I hope you have our backs.
Slo, the performances are in our town's high school auditorium. I am very grateful for that. I have had to drive weekly over to Griffith, IN for rehearsals. I then kill time over at the Barnes and Noble for 2 hours until I go back to pick her up. So it has been a relief this week to not have far to go for shows. Especially with having to roll hair every day after shows for the next day.
Becky, congrats to your DD on making it once again for :cheer2: I am sure she will have a good time in spite of the aggravation in getting there.
Geffric, congrats to Geoff on his Eagle Scout promotion. I know how much work this involved for him (and your family). It really takes a lot of effort to get this far in scouting. And it is a huge committment. So :yay: to Geoff.
Slo, here are the pix of the characters at LTT dressed up for the Halloween party.

Bunchkin, hope you are feeling better and on the mend. Sorry to hear it had flared up on you again. Many folks are just getting sick over and over again. I think it must be the weather. 40-65-30. Rain, sun, cold.:confused3 What is up with this? I sure hope that once it breaks this week this is it. My poor trees don't know whether to bud or not.:rolleyes1
Well, better get moving for the day. Make-up and Hair to do. I think I brought the BBB home.

Morning all! :wave2:

Brrrrr! DD11 and I made it to Scout Mass (we've got ya covered Tiggrrn) , church was so cold I left my coat on. Poor DD was freezing, she had a short sleeve shirt on and it was very drafty in the choir section. We went to Egg Harbor after for breakfast, yumm :) .

Geffric - glad to hear the job is going well. I hear ya on the shoes, I'm mostly wear gym shoes now so when I have to dress up, ugh ;) . Congrats to Geoff on Eagle Scout, glad the ceremony and party went well. I hope they stayed warm and dry on their campout.

What the Heck - :welcome: . Hope to see you around often.

Bunchkin - I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. The weather is supposed to warm up this week so maybe that will help.
* It's kind of creepy, right after I posted here that I wasn't hearing back from concierge I received an email from them-I wonder if they are watching ;) . Unfortunately they messed up one of our ADRs, hopefully they can fix it.
**Haven't seen Sweeney Todd yet, rented Attonment and will watch it tonight.

slo - I know what you mean about pre-teen/teen attire at the mall  . Sometimes I point them out to DD11 and remind her that I hope she never expects to walk around the mall like that :rotfl:
*Just to see what DDs thought about CRT I posed a hypothetical question to them last night. I asked if they could pick one character breakfast at WDW what would it be. I gave them all their options including CRT. DD6 picked Chef Mickey's and DD11 picked either Crystal Palace or PSB. I asked about the castle and they both responded "eh, not really". Since neither is really jazzed about the castle I'm thinking we might change to Crystal Palace and save $100.

Nothing planned here today until dinner at the in-laws. Kids don't want to play outside because it's so cold. I can't wait until it gets warm again.

Have a great day everyone!

Bunchkin- Feel better soon! I lol'ed at your Doombuggy comment. Only from a disser...
Gef- Congrats to ds! What an accomplishment! Your shoe comment was funny. I call them "teacher shoes" from hearing hard soled shoes clip clop down the hall in gradeschool. I swear by Born brand shoes. They are comfy and cute.
Tiggerrn- Great pics. Your kids are so cute. Your ds looks a lot like my ds, so maybe I am biased!
ID- Between you and mac, I think you've got all of us heathens covered, church wise!
slo- Don't those preteens and teens crack you up. Good thing none of us after acted like that. We were truly cool.;) Heck, I still am!

Bought airfare yesterday through Air Tran. Never flown them! Also made all my adrs this morning. Never beens- Boma, CRT, Whispering Canyon, Crystal Palace, and Yak and Yeti. Repeat visits- San Angel, Coral Reef, Sci Fi, Ohana bfast. I am so excited!!! I am splurging on CRT. It's my honeymoon. I deserve to dine like a princess, right? Since we don't have the kids, we have the luxury of later reservations, so I got all I wanted on the right days! I am thinking of doing a giftbasket through Feralpeg, maybe with the bride and groom ears and stuff. Anyone ever got one? Also, what do you think about an Illuminations cruise and Segway tour of Epcot? Anyone gotten a diver at Coral Reef? Honestly, I am more exicted about the honeymoon than the wedding!!!

MAC and Hershey.. i got the cake at SAMS. it was 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate. the chocolate side is gone but I froze the white side.. anytime you want some let me know...;)

Thanks for the congrats for GEOFF. He was very happy with the ceremony et al..

paintnolish .. Those look like great ADRS.. I love Boma, CP, Yak and Yeti.. i WC - I have had some great meals there.. I love fish and had the tuna one time and another time I had salmon.. both were very tasty..The boys got the all you can eat platter thing and loved most of it.. but they are all you can eat kinda guys..

irish dancer I have never been to the castle for a meql as my boys won't go but I love CM and CP..

Tiggerrn2 thanks for sharing the pictures..

Off to cook and clean and laundy and stuff

Hey all!!! PP is over!!!:worship:  :dance3:
I just got a notice about our old thread. They reposted it. Webmaster Doc has a link at the bottom of the old one to our new one. Funny to see it resurrected. Last post was April 2006.
Good to see it alive again. Hope people don't start reposting over there on accident now though. I almost posted there instead of here. When I saw the first post, I thought, Gee that wasn't the one on the top of the page this morning. Then I looked at the date and saw 2006.
Hope it warms up this week like it is supposed to.
Well, better get dinner cooking. Frozen pizza tonight. :yay: No energy left for anything else, and no money to go out. DD tapped me out this weekend. Later all. Have a good week.

Geffric,

Congratulations on your Geoff becoming an Eagle Scout. That's quite an accomplishment!

Webmaster Doc has our thread before this one listed as current. I posted there telling everyone where to find us.

We had a very nice day/night yesterday
My DH's best friend came over, at the same time my in-laws came over, and we sat around and chatted for a long time, and then we got some pizzas - before we knew it, it was 8:00pm. It really was a nice visit, and we all really enjoyed ourselves :goodvibes

Tiiigernnnnn - Thanks for posting those pictures :) The characters definitly didn't look like that when we went, but our ADR was at 4pm, which is not during the party - I wonder if that had anything to do with it? I'll be curious if they have masks this year when we go.
**You can definitly tell Kellie and Kyle are brother and sister - they look so much alike. I always thought that, but you can really tell in these pictures ::yes:: They are so cute!!!!:goodvibes
**Thanks for letting us know about the old thread - I will have to check that out.

ID - If the girls don't want to go to the CRT, I wouldn't spend the money on it :sad2: Like I said before, the food is not to die for, and what you are spending money on is the atmosphere and the characters. If the girls don't care, than it's not worth the money.

paint - I got a diver at Coral Reef, he's living with me :goodvibes Two years ago Kevin dove there, and he loved it!!! He went and waved at people eating several times during his dive. I'd show you a picture, but I know he wouldn't want a picture of him, in a wetsuit, on the internet:sad2: When we ate there January 2007, we saw divers in the tank - Kevin was all excited to see them, since he just did that 3 1/2 months ago. It was such a cool experience for him, and he would love love love to do it again someday :) What time is your ADR for there, I can ask Kevin if those are dive times, and then you'll have an idea if you will see divers.

geffric - Does Sams do cakes in shapes? I'm looking for a cake in the shape of a cross for Stephanie's First Communion.

siouxi31 - Welcome!!!! :flower3: Thanks for stopping by!!! Please come by often, we always enjoy getting to know new visitors!!!! :goodvibes

piglet - :wave2:

Mac - Thanks for the listings!!!!! :)

Well, I gotta go and work out this morning
I bought a new pair of shoes Saturday - just to work out in. I hope my knees can handle it, because I really really miss working out - I love it!!!!

Have a good day today everyone!!!!
