Morning everyone! Looks like warmer weather should be here this week, finally!

Good Morning Everyone!:flower3: It sure is a beautiful day in the neighborhood, don't ya think? I finished my projects!!! However, I still need to write a short paper on the one that is due tomorrow! And I still need to get my stuff in the suitcase! Right now it is all folded nicely (ready to roll) and organized on the floor of my dad's office!:rolleyes1 He kept needing to step over my piles to get to and from the computer:rotfl: Fortunately, he has been very understanding!

Paint~ I'm flying AirTran this week! I've never flown them either so I'll let you know! I hear they are pretty good! I'm so excited for you! Looks like you have a lot of great ADRs! I was thinking of doing an Illuminations cruise but it was over our budget :confused3 Ah well, next time!

Bunchkin ~ I hope you are feeling better! My allergies have been crazy the past few weeks, woke up this morning with a swollen face:scared1: fortunately, it had started to deflate by the time i was leaving for work. I had mixed feelings about Sweeny Todd. I loved Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter but I didn't really like all the blood and that. But overall, it was a good flick! Great music!

Everyone Else ~ :wave2:

Good morning everyone!! :wave2:

DH made a chocolate cake from scratch yesterday which was a first for him!! And it is the best cake ever!!!! So yummy!

Need to get to the post office today. I'm mailing out DD's Girl Scout day camp registration which starts being excepted as of tomorrow, and space fills up really quick every year. Last year when we were at Disneyland we missed signing up before it was full and she didn't get to go. She was not happy and it was the first year she's ever missed summer day camp.

paint All your ADR's look good!!! We've never done CRT. I don't think my DD is interested in it.
Hope you got a good deal on Air Tran!

slo I forgot to tell you I finally found our LTT pics and they are they same as Tiggerrn's. And like you, we also had an early dinner but they were in those costumes!!! So who knows? :confused3

disneygal Glad your face shrunk back down!! :goodvibes
Are you sure that was allergy related though?
The play of Sweeney Todd was for sure not as bloody. I kind of wondered if that was Tim Buton's idea or Steven Sondheim's, the guy who wrote the play. Maybe Steven always wanted it to be even more graphic but couldn't produce that for the stage. :confused3
I didn't love the blood, but having seen the play I knew it was coming, just not to that new extent!!

Hi gang! What a crappy weather weekend but what a great week coming up! Finally!

Geffric - Congrats on Geoff's Eagle Scout achievement! That is truly a family accomplishment.

Disneygal - Can I come too? You sound like you will have a great time!

Paint - the ADR's look good! I am going to do Whispering Canyon in September, I think. I have done the Illuminations Cruise twice. It is really nice. Something else nice is the High Tea at the Grand Floridian. I didi that with mom last year and we really liked it. There were lots of celebrations going on that day.

Bunchkin - Hope you are on the mend!

Our baseball tournament was cancelled last weekend - thankfully! We will be making it up later this month. DS wasn't happy it was cancelled. Life is all about baseball for that kid!

Back to the grind at work!
Lori

Hi guys! Love the sun, wish it was warmer. It was quite chilly when I went out for my walk at 5:30a. Came home and took a hot shower, was a wierd combo of sweaty but cold.

DD11 starts track today for school, should be interesting. DD6 begged me to measure her today before school. She was still too short for the 48in rides on our last trip and she is just desperate to be 48in for our next trip. Well, she measured exactly 48in, she was jumping around cheering. We're not going til Oct so she should comfortably meet the height stick by then.

Bunchkin - hope you're feeling better. We had GS day camp registration back on March 1. I missed it too last year and couldn't get DD6 into one, she wasn't going to let me forget this year :rotfl: . Both girls are signed up for day camp in June then each are going to sleep-away camp later in the summer.

DG - I hope you have a GREAT time on your trip! I wish we had a trip soon.

slo - we've decided to cancel the CRT, we got an 8:10a at Crystal Palace which I know they will all love.

mac - thanks for the show listings. Saw the new Samantha Brown one on Friday, it's nice to see something current. I've got the one for Friday scheduled to tape.

Well, DH just arrived home for lunch so I've got to run. Hope everyone has a great day!

When are you going in Oct.? I'm going Oct. 15-19.

I did get my taxes filed, and got all the money stuff transferred and the payments made yesterday and mailed the one check this morning. So I just need to print everything out for my copy and organize it and then I'm done. :woohoo:

And yesterday I did the treadmill for the first time in ages. I did 20 minutes, a little over a mile. Yay me!

Then we went to Maggiano's for dinner. :rotfl: Well, that's why I'm doing the treadmill.

hello again everyone! all this talk about working out makes me feel bad for not going to the gym the past few weeks:laughing: anywho, has anybody parked at midway? We are planning on driving but i've never driven to the airport myself and am worried about getting lost. knowing me i would somehow wind up on the runway or something:laughing: Are there a lot of signs directing you to the correct lots? We are planning on one of the cheaper lots. I think it's $14 a day or something. any input would be highly appreciated. :goodvibes hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

Leigh Are you saying you had to pay taxes this year? Seems to me with the purchase of a new house last year that that would help you out in getting a refund.

We haven't been to Maggiano's since Lauren was little!!!! Good food!!

disneygal We've parked at Midway many times. Look at their web site for info on parking. The signs are clear, you can't miss them. Lots further south are cheaper, just hop the shuttle to the terminal. The new garage is a little more $ but I like it there better. It's big and covered....I think my new car preferred parking there! And again they had the shuttle to take you to the terminal. Shuttles come around a lot, we never have had a wait for one.

Remember when Disney was forming the Mom's Panel and they were taking submissions??
I think there were a couple people from the Chicago thread who said they were going to apply.
Anyone here do just that?
I did.
I know the panel is now formed and their site is up and running and a few other DISers are a part of the panel.

My point.....
For those of you who did submit to the panel to join, did you get in the mail a Mickey Moms Club Welcome Kit??

I just got one in the mail today and I'm wondering if anyone else did.

I did, I did!! :yay: I had applied for the panel but didn't even make the first cut :rolleyes1 . What did you think of the Welcome Kit?

:surfweb:

Yesterday I opened up my ipod Nano, and got it set up - that little thing is cool!!!!:) Kevin got this for me for Christmas, and I had no reason to open it up until now. He also gave me a gift card to ipod Tunes, and I started putting music on it yesterday too. I can't get over the clarity of that thing - it's amazing!!!! I thought CD's had great sound - and this makes CD's sound like records - it's just amazing!!!! So, I'm having fun with my new little toy:banana:

piglet - Yes, the warmer weather is coming - thank goodness!!!! :sunny:

DG - Congrats on getting your projects finished!!!:cheer2:

Bunchkin - That cake sounds mighty tasty!!!! :goodvibes Tony is such a good guy!!!:)
**Congrats on getting your welcome kit!!!

momto1 - I'm sure we'll be doing Whispering Canyon too - I love that place!!!:goodvibes

ID - That's good that you cancelled CRT - no sense on going when the girls aren't thrilled about it. We've always loved Crystal Palace, and it's our traditional Magic Kingdom day breakfast :goodvibes
**Congrats on getting your welcome kit!!!

Mac - :wave2:

Leigh - I love love love Maggianos!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes What did you order? They have the best Fettucinni Alfredo there - I always order a 1/2 order:)

geffric - Stay safe while on your trip to PA. How are you enjoying the conference?

Well, I gotta run - have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo- I didn't think about the time for my adr. It is late-8:20, so probably no diver. Oh well! Also, thought of your Life cereal poll from a while back when I had a new variety this morning- maple brown sugar! Yum!
Gef- The restaurant I work at makes a mean eggplant parm! Let me know if you're ever down this way!
DGal- Good luck finding your way around Midway. My mom usually drops me off! She should have a shuttle service- she takes my sisters and even their bfriends!
Also, I work out regularly, but, well, see ticker below! All bets are off come August, though. Desserts at every meal!
momto- Ever done WC? We haven't, but we know to ask for ketchup. The jokes on them, tho. We love ketchup and might come close to actually using it all!
Bunchkin- We aren't doing a princess meal at CRT, just a dinner. I've just always wanted to eat there!

So, my shower is this weekend and here's my vent- Why don't some people know what rsvp means? How hard is it to call? Grr! Also, don't know if you read my thread, but I had a friend rsvp a count of 7 to the wedding (her, h, and 5 kids)! The nevelopes were addressed to Mr. and Mrs. and the inside one had just their first names. Now I have to tell her no. Awkward! It is an all or nothing deal, tho, or other people would be mad. Oh, the "wed"aches!
Well, better go shower. I have to give a presentation today with my lackluster group. Someone needs to be on the ball. Not to stereotype all young college students, but something tells me this isn't their first priority. beer pong is very important, tho!;)

Slo ~ I am getting my ipod in a few weeks. (it was free with a checking account at TCF Bank, met the criteria for it, now I wait) I already have a list of songs I want to put on it. What I love is that you can add books too.

Paint ~ Hope the presentation goes well. I am sorry for the wedding headaches, hope they work themselves out soon.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: another nice day today! 2 days to go and my stuff is STILL not in the suitcase! :scared1: 30 days ago, I was like, i need to start b/c with school and work and other commitments i won't have time. where did the time go??:confused3 ah well, i'm not complaining, i'll stay up late packing tomorrow and try to sleep on the airplane (although, i'm usually too excited)!

Slo ~ Mike got me an iPod for my birthday 2 years ago. I didn't think i would ever use it but i do! all the time actually. it is quite amazing! I like to listen to Eric and Kathy on the mix in the morning, so Dad got me this radio transmitter thing to plug into my iPod so I can listen to them on the train! It's awesome!

Bunchkin ~ Thanks for the parking info. I went to Midway's website and the parking info linked me to another website where you put in your dates and you can choose a parking area. you pay for one day ahead of time and get a reserved spot or something. so we are parking in the 55th street "Airways Parking". it's a fenced in lot with security 24hours and apparently well lit, so i felt a little safer.

Well, hope everyone has a beautiful day!

Good morning!

Still shredding papers here!!! I think I can smell my shredder burning up!!!
It is older then my 10yr old DD, so maybe it's time for a new one.

slo Isn't getting new tech-ey toys fun!!! Enjoy your I-pod!
I have an MP3 player too, not an I-pod though, and I really enjoy it. Lauren listens to it more than I do though!!! :)
I've been really enjoying my Sirius radio in the car that Tony bought me. I haven't listened to the regular radio stations since we had it installed in early January!!

disneygal Hope your packing goes quickly!!! Try to get some sleep before you leave!! You don't want to get there and burn out on your first night!! :)

irish dancer I think the kit is very cute! A nice suprise!

geffric If you're any where near Hershey's, eat some for all of us!! :goodvibes

Morning all.
I really have no business here :surfweb: this morning.:rotfl2:
Paint, I feel your pain with those guests. My cousin and wife responded to bringing their 4 children along.:scared1: I didn't have the cahoonas to say no, so put them in the count for plates, and then....... 3 of the kids and the wife didn't show up. They had ball games that day!!!:headache: So the lesson I learned and choose to pass on is - always underestimate your plates by at least 10. The caterer will not run out of food if you need more, and you won't pay for plates you didn't need. (at least if they are respectable caterers.)
Slo, have fun with your Ipod. Kellie is getting one from family for a birthday present. (Whenever I get around to having their party.:rolleyes1 )She loves to listen to her music. Is it easy to load from the site?
Bunchkin, what did you get in the kit?
Well, I would love to stay and chat, but I really need to move my buns on outta here.
Later all.
Enjoy the great day!!!

Ooo Ooo... my tag got updated from 'earning my ears' to 'Mouseketeer' sorry i was excited to see that! i'm done now! :) just wanted to share my happiness!

Slo~ i see you are Tonga Toast junkie? i've never had tonga toast and would like to try it... any reccommendations?

Leigh Are you saying you had to pay taxes this year? Seems to me with the purchase of a new house last year that that would help you out in getting a refund.

Yeah, I had to pay. It's because of investment income, and also I didn't pay all my estimates last year, only the first one. :rotfl: I actually had an $11 penalty for the federal because of that, but really it was almost worth it not to have to do all the ES payments.

This is the first year I got to itemize :woohoo: , so I did save a good chunk because of that. But I didn't have a full year of mortgage interest, and I haven't paid any property taxes yet, so I didn't have as much as I will this year.

We haven't been to Maggiano's since Lauren was little!!!! Good food!!

Sk8Leigh OOOOO I love maggianos.. what did you have.. Love the ceasar salad and the eegplant parmacian ( sp)

Leigh - I love love love Maggianos!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes What did you order? They have the best Fettucinni Alfredo there - I always order a 1/2 order:)

Everyone's interested in the Maggiano's. :rotfl2: I had a 1/2 order of the 4 cheese ravioli (in pesto alfredo sauce topped with a little smooth tomato sauce), and I only ate half of that! It was yummy. I'll probably have the rest for dinner tonight. I also ate a ton of the bread, and two glasses of raspberry lemonade. I was stuffed! :scared1:

Also, don't know if you read my thread, but I had a friend rsvp a count of 7 to the wedding (her, h, and 5 kids)! The nevelopes were addressed to Mr. and Mrs. and the inside one had just their first names. Now I have to tell her no. Awkward! It is an all or nothing deal, tho, or other people would be mad. Oh, the "wed"aches!

 What on earth would make someone think it was ok to add 5 extra people?! If kids aren't included, get a sitter! :sad2:

6 months from today till I go to WDW!
