Hey Rose,
I see you have a new ticker. Guess you finally got your trip arranged.:thumbsup2 Where are you staying?
Have a great time. It is coming up really fast for you. I see you will be in one World while I am in the other Land!!!
Glad to hear your DH surgery went so well and that he is recovering nicely. I'll bet he finds it amazing how clear things look now.

Hi Tiggerrn :wave2:
We are going to stay at All-Star Sports, DH and DD want to stay there, so okay with me.
You have a great time, too!
Thanks! :goodvibes

I'm up a little earlier on a Saturday than normal, because Kevin is leaving for Indy for the weekend. I decided to get up with him so I can say goodbye, and also workout a little earlier than normal on a Saturday.

Stephanie is having her first friend over to spend the night tonight, and she is bouncing off the wall with excitement :yay: She has the huge itinerary made on what her and the friend are going to do tonight - it's so cute!!!!! I just hope they have enough time - she's got alot of stuff on there

DG - Have fun making your video today!!!! :)

piglet - I think your hair looks nice :) I think the whole thing is a shock to you, because it's not what you wanted. Like Mac said, you can use the Prell to make it fade, and even if you didn't, it'll fade fast anyway (I've been dying my hair red for 13 years now, and I'm always getting frustrated with how fast it fades). Getting your hair cut shorter is always such a shock, even when you wanted it done. Once you get used to how to style it, I bet you'll like it more. Did you go back to the place today? If so, what did they say?

Tigggggerrrnnnnnnn - Avoiding the extra sugar has been keeping me feeling so much better - no headaches!!!! :woohoo:
**How's everything going with the van? Did you get everything fixed, or did you decide to get a new car?

Disneynut - Congrats on finding the suitcase bargain :woohoo:

Leigh - :wave2:

Julez - My workout went very well today, thanks for asking :) When I don't go outside to walk, I do Leslie Sansones in home walking DVD, and I love love love them!!!! I have her 3 mile one and her 4 mile one, and I did the 4 mile one yesterday :thumbsup2

Peter - We don't necessarily ask questions, we just get to know you through you chatting with us :)

Rose - I'm glad your DH's surgery went well :)

Well, I guess it's time for me to get off the computer and get outside
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Everyone has been so helpful with my first question about when to visit the Chicago area, I thought I'd ask another. Can anyone recommend a hotel convenient to Long Grove and/or Highland Park? I'd prefer to spend less than $200 a night.

tw1nsmom- I haven't been that way in awhile. Maybe google hotels in Long Grove, Highland park? Also, there should be some hotels off of I294, I94(highways). You can try Double Tree Hotels and Holiday Inns. Sorry I couldn't help that much :guilty:

peterloveswdw- Tell us about your family or about yourself :)

Gotta run. Have a good day everyone!

What all were you looking to do? Long grove is a little town mostly shopping and Highland park is closer to the city? They are not all the close together.

crazy4dabean We always welcome new friends

It looks like we are in for a nice warm day :dance3: I'm am tired of the up and down temps.

I have a lot of cleaning to do. It looks like a band of gypsys moved in had a wild party(without me) and left.:rolleyes1

Bunchy Where are you looking to move to? I hope your house sells quickly.pixiedust:

I'm mostly interested in being able to visit people who live in those two towns. While we're there we would also go into the city a day or two to see some of the sights, but the trip would be mostly about visiting. These are people I've never met before, and I wanted to get an idea of where I could stay before I firmed up the plans. I don't want them to feel that they have to offer us a place to stay.

Tripadvisor.com is my FFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVV place to find hotel accomodations. I loved the Sheraton Northwest in Arlington Park when we went in March of last year, but the reviews lately have been poor. It has a CoCoKey waterpark (but you have to book the waterpark pkg) and it's about 10 minutes to Long Grove and 1/2 hr to Highland Park (according to Google maps directions). Good luck!

Stephanie is having tons of fun at her first sleepover.
I made them Cheese Pizza Rolls and they are watcing Alvin & the Chipmunks. Pretty soon I will be making them popcorn, and then STephanie organized a treasure hunt for them to do - how fun!!!! :cool1: So far they are being pretty well behaved and I hope it stays that way (fingers crossed)

crazy4dabean - :welcome:
Thanks for coming by!!! Please come by more often - you are always welcome!!!! :)

twinsmom - I'm sorry I can't help you with the hotel question :guilty: But if you have any other questions, we'd be happy to help!!!!:)

Rose - How's your DH doing today?

HERSEY - Your posts are so funny and creative (the gypsy comment made me chuckle!!! )

Mac and Julez - :wave2:

Bunchkin - How did the garage sale go today???

Have a good night everyone!!!!

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi - :wave2: Hope all of you are having a great weekend. It just started raining here.. but at least my son had his baseball game this morning and then my daughters softball game was right after that.... so it can rain the rest of the night if it wants. :confused3

Good morning!

Slo I did manage to reclaim my house from the gypsy's,you'll be happy to know.

It was so beautiful yesterday with the sun and the warm. Good thing we had an early dinner so the rain didn't ruin my grilling.

Wow a dark cloud just went over my house and shut out the lights for a minute just now. :yay: The sun is back. I guess sometimes the weather people do know what they are talking about:rotfl:

Have a good day.

Good Sunday morning all-

Hersey :wave2:

Slo- glad Steph's sleepover went well last night. Is everyone sleeping in this morning?
Thanks for asking about DH. He is doing extremely well with his left eye :thumbsup2
He sees a whole lot better, like a miracle healing on his left eye.
:worship: to the eye surgeon and God
DH will eventually have surgery on the right eye, as that has cataracts as well(not as bad as the left eye), but we haven't scheduled that surgery yet.

Hi to all :wave2:

:surfweb:

I just can't get over how good the girls were last night - I'm so proud of them!!!! :) They went to bed a little after Katie and I (approx. 11pm) and I thought they would be up to 2pm (they started PotC at World End at 10pm, and that movie is 3 hours long). But they must have been really tired, because after they went to bed, they talked and giggled for approx 15 minutes, and then I didn't hear from them again. It's now 8:30am and they are still sleeping - they must have been really tired!!!!! :faint:

I now waiting to hear the weather for today, because I really would like to get some planting done. Right now the sun is shining very brightly :sunny: and I hope it stays that way. I doubt I will get everything done, but it would be nice to get 50% of it done :flower2:

MMFan - I'm glad that your kids get their games in yesterday :)

HERSEY - I'm glad you were able to reclaim your house from the gypsy's (you're so funny!!! :rotfl: )

Rose - That is such great news about your DH:woohoo: I'm very glad to hear it!!!

Well, I gotta go and start planning breakfast so the girls can eat soon after they wake up. I'm making them chocolate chip pancakes, and I'm making me regular pancakes - yummy!!!! :goodvibes Oh...I forgot to share that Katie slept with me for the first time yesterday, and OMgosh, she is a wild child in bed - it shocks me that she doesn't fall out of her bed. I didn't get much sleep last night because she was constantly kicking me in the chest, slapping me in the face with her arms flying all around - it was unbelievable!!!!! It wasn't like she was having bad dreams, she's just a very very active sleeper - I don't think she's going to be invited back with me for quite some time:laughing:

Have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo Was Katie like that when you were pregnant? Alex still sleeps the same way. Arms flung out sorry if this offends anyone, we call it the Jesus pose.

Ok off to finish the laundry.

She was not very active when I was pregnant, and there were times my OB would use her little zapper to get her to move to make she was okay.

What you said doesn't offend me, and in fact, there are times when Katie first falls asleep she's laying on her back with her hands on her check holding her blanket. I always say she looks like she's laying in a coffin, and then I purposly move something on her so she doesn't look like that anymore:laughing: By the way she was last night, she obviously doesn't stay that way very long

Morning, all! Well, I'd be lying if I said I was too busy yesterday to post. The truth was, I went out with some college aged coworkers on Friday night, and it turns out, I am much to old to do that! It went down hill pretty quickly after a shot of Sambuca. Not good. Not good at all. I spent yesterday feeling terrible! Dfiance got me a shake and cheeseburger in the afternoon, then I took a long nap. I managed to pull it together in time for work, but I was so tired! Ugh. Never again! Thank gooness my kids were at their gma's!
hersey and slo- It is downright dangerous to sleep with dd! If I am facing her, I kind of shield my face with my hand. I got a heel to the eye socket once.
New Peeps- Welcome!

Okay, anyone have any recommendations on someplace to go for a mini-honeymoon?

Better try to be productive today, since I wasted yesterday!
