Dgal- Welcome back and congrats! That is so awesome! What a dream come true! We needs pics. So, when are you thinking of getting married? Doing it in Disney?
Piglet- We are looking for a dog 15-30 lbs. I love my Sheltie. He is so smart and easy to train. Dfiance wants to get something different, but everyone I know that has a Sheltie loves it.
Did you get the UTI cleared up yet?
momto- Presents all over the living room, including 2 microwaves and 2 icecream machines!
julez- feel better soon1 we all had squinchy (dd's term for the face she had to make when swallowing) throats a little bit ago. Thanks for the well wishes on the Spanish test. I got a 6/10. I used to have to talk myself down from a ledge when I got a B. The shock is starting to where off!
Slo- Aww, we really like Beagles. Was he easy to train? We have heard they are bad barkers (used to it with a Sheltie, tho) and diggers.
Raccoons in the attic? We have a bat that lives in our bathroom window. he doesn't bother us and everyone is forbidden from opeing the window!
Sk8t- Eh, what's a few lbs.? I have been struggling lately, too. We have been going out to eat and have had lots of desserts, too. I just love eating. Is that so wrong?:rotfl2:
Tigger- you are muy comica. I will be so happy when this semster is over!
Bunchkin- Feel better! Fifth's disease is usually for kids. I knew an adult who got hand, foot, and mouth disease from his son!
LK- Welcome!

Hi gang! Working till 7:00 pm tonight. Bleck! But as you can see I am working real hard!

disneygal - Congrats! Someone got engaged when we were at CRT last month. They did a nice job of helping the happy couple celebrate! Let's see pics of the ring.

slo - We don't know what type of animal was in our wall but we could hearing it moving in the wall. It sounded small. It must have gotten out because we didn't smell the dead animal smell. Thankfully!

Paint - I still have my microwave from my wedding gift. I will be married 21 years in June (yikes!). The thing will not die. I hope you like ice cream!

LK03 - Welcome! Visit this fun group often! You are always welcome!

Irish dancer - we have a meet today, too. The bad mom is missing it. I thought it might have gotten rained out but nope. Good luck to your dd!

Sk8Leigh - I hope you got everything accomplished that you had planned! What a full day. We booked our September air yesterday. We went with Southwest using the DING15 code and got $240 rt per person. That was more than I wanted to spend but driving isn't an option this time.

OK - back to work I go.
Lori

**If you don't mind me asking, how much was the doll repairs? Was it super expensive, or not to bad? I always wondered how much the hospital
It was $29 + s/h to replace all four limbs plus the cost to ship it TO them. Honestly, when it was all said and done, I did end up spending as much as if I'd have just bought a brand new doll, but it saved $ in that I could do it in stages.... rather than shell out a cool bill at once or charge it. AG dolls are so expensive- this made it more manageable for me.

i'll pass my whiney tiara off to you....it's your turn for a bit...:rotfl: :rotfl: jkidding ya

You can have it back! After two days of being off work and LOTS AND LOTS of extra sleep w/antibiotics, I already feel 80% better. :yay:

DH bought me a pedometer last week, it is fun to keep track of everything. I did my 4mi this morning and then another couple at lunch with DH. I'm up to 14,166 steps today - wow!

Juliez - :welcome: glad you found us, hope you come by often to visit. Hope you're feeling better soon, it's crummy to be sick when it's so nice outside.

Thank you for the welcome and the get better wishes! I do feel better and I want a pedometer too! Last spring I lost 20lbs by adding a 20 minute walk every day and cutting out all fast food/junk and pop, and I gained back 10 over the winter so I am right on board with your efforts!! Good luck!

Welcome to our thread, and I'm sorry you're sick!

Speaking of feeling thinner, I'd really like to! I've been eating eating eating, and I've gained like 7 lbs recently. :scared1: So we'll see how that goes. :rolleyes1
Thanks for the welcome, and maybe we should start a spring lose 10 thread?

Mike and I got engaged our first night!!!

Julez ~ :welcome: sorry you are ill  hope you feel better soon. Mike had tonsilitis quite a few times a few years back. it really stinks having it as an adult.
Thanks for the welcome and CONGRATULATIONS!!! :cheer2:
He's getting out of the ARMY so we are able to move and start our lives over! Here's hoping we land some excellent jobs and make new friends. This starting over is stressful!

Congrats on your move and your new life! Starting over is exciting! :yay:
julez- feel better soon1 we all had squinchy (dd's term for the face she had to make when swallowing) throats a little bit ago. Thanks for the well wishes on the Spanish test. I got a 6/10. I used to have to talk myself down from a ledge when I got a B. The shock is starting to where off!

Thanks! Yes, I was def. 'squinchy' for 3 days, but am now not squinchy at all. And I was the same way in school. I had a 4.0 until the last 6 mos of school and it KILLED ME. I really had to tell myself it wasn't THAT important to ace everything. :rolleyes1

So tommorow I go back to work! Ugh. Oh well. Better get to bed EARLY so I can be functioning at 100% capacity.

G'night all :lovestruc

:flower3: Hello... happen to see this thread and figured i would jump in. Glad to see others from the area that are huge Disney fans!

What a beautiful day it was yesterday!!! :sunny:
Last night the kids played outside with neighbor kids until 8pm, and while they were playing we were able to catch up with our neighbors - it was so nice - I really like my neighbors!!!! :goodvibes

Yesterday morning when I went out for my walk, I had a coyote staring me down right in front of my house. My neighbor has seen him/her already, but I haven't until yesterday morning. It was very unsettling to have this thing stare at me the entire time I was walking down the block. By the time I got back to my house, he/she was gone. This thing was large - I don't like it!!! :sad2:

HERSEY - :wave2:

Leigh - Good luck with trying to lose weight :wizard: Baby steps like you are doing are awesome, because you are more likely to stick to it, than when you cut everything out cold turkey.

Sam - Good to see you!!! :wave2: Gas prices ARE ridiculous, and it makes me mad:mad: When I saw that gas was $3.75 a gallon yesterday, the first thing I thought was, "I'm going to go out of business if gas keeps going up and up" :guilty: Who's going to shop at my store, when they don't want to leave their driveway to save gas?!:sad2:

DG - Congrats on your engagement!!!! :woohoo: :yay: It sounds like you had a wonderful time!!!!

piglet - :wave2:

Bunchkin - How are you feeling today?? Good luck at the doctor :wizard: Please let us know how everything went. How is Hunter feeling? Good luck to him at the doctor too :wizard:

ID - You inspired me to get out my pedometer, and I am thrilled to report that I stepped my first 10,306 yesterday!!!!!:cheer2: I wasn't going to walk my 2 miles yesterday, but I decided to because I wanted to see what the pedometer would say. I'm going to wear it this morning while I do my stepbox (that's still steps, right?) and see if I can hit over 10,000 by the end of the day again!!!!

LK03 - :welcome: You can join us anytime!!!!! Did you DH have to go overseas at all?

Mac - Have a safe trip!!! :wave2:

paint - My mom's 3 Beagles didn't bark alot:sad2: but they do run off easily, so we have to always watch to make sure it doesn't get away. All of them have been very very sweet and great with kids!!! :thumbsup2

momto1 - I hope you're right about that animal getting out, because I will feel really bad for you if someone has to go through the wall to get to it, plus that smell would be awful. Here's some PD for you to be right!!!:wizard:

julez - I'm glad you are feeling better!!! :) That AG repair wasn't that much - that's great!!!

MickeyMousefan - :welcome: Please come by and visit anytime!!!

Well, I gotta run and start my workout, and then I have to clean bathrooms - not fun!!! I had bathroom cleaning days!!!! Have a good day today everyone!!

Good morning everyone it seems we are going to have another nice day :thumbsup2

I am so glad we didn't get any rain yesterday.

I hope everyone who is sick is feeling better.

Mac have a safe trip and you will survive without the computer

I am moving slow today but really must go and jump in the shower we are being taken out to lunch since it is secretary's day.

Good Morning Everyone!:flower3: Thank you for all the wonderful messages and congratulations. It has been a busy day here at work. A lot of people stopping in and it sure is tough going back to work after such a wonderful vacation! I'll update again later hopefully, after i get some work done here! hope everyone is doing well!! :goodvibes

Hi gang! Pinch me - is it really finally spring?!

Mac - Have a safe trip. See you when you get back.

MickeyMouseFan - Welcome neighbor! I am from Joliet. I spent the weekend at ds11 baseball tournament in Romeoville. Visit us often -we are fun!

Bunchkin - How are you? Wasn't today your doc's appointment?

Does anybody else have spring yard clean up to do? I still have so many leaves in my flower beds to clean up. Plus, weeds are starting to sprout. I should do some work when I get home tonight. But...I might be too lazy.

See you tomorrow!
Lori

Another nice day yesterday!!! :sunny:
I love wearing my capris again
It's to bad it's going to be cool again for awhile, but I will take cool anyday over cold:upsidedow

HERSEY - How was you lunch yesterday? Where did you go?

piglet - I'm glad you are feeling better!!! :)

DG - I always have a hard time going back to work after vacation too ::yes::

momto1 - I have tons and tons of spring yardwork to do, and I have no idea when I'm going to get it done :sad2: This weekend is Stephanie's First Communion, and Sunday it's going to rain. Next weekend is a Car Show that I'm doing a booth for the store, and we are celebrating my in-laws 40th Anniversary. The weekend after that will be the rain date for the car show and I have to work. I may have to do a little every night that I'm not working, because it's easier to get the leaves out from under the bushes before the bushes get their leaves

Bunchkin - How did the doctor appt go?

Well, I gotta run and get my butt outside to walk - I hope theres no coyotes today:eek:
Have a good day today everyone!!

LK03 - :welcome: You can join us anytime!!!!! Did you DH have to go overseas at all?
QUOTE]

First off, thank you all for the warm welcome!! I am so so so excited. We move in NEXT Thursday! I saw there is a game that afternoon!

I have two interviews already lined up for Thursday and Friday, eeek, wish me luck! I've spent over a month and 20 hours pouring over my resume, had my current company HR recruiter analyze it and my cover letter and even did a practice behavioral question interview to fine tune my skills.

I tell ya, we flew to Chicago the weeked of the American Airlines cancellation, but the minute we got to Chicago our luck really changed. I think we'll be okay, at least I hope.

I really hope I'm able to make friends with some of you, it'd be nice to have real friends who have a passion for Disney like me :p

Slo, yes, my husband has been overseas. He's done two tours in Iraq. He has 3 years left of "inactive ready reserve," so we are really hoping he doesn't get called back up.

Can't wait to meet you all! Can you not tell how excited I am?! I'm bursting!

LK03 ~ I think living in Wrigleyville would be neat, even with the game-day crowds. Several of my parent's dog people live there, and they only had good things to say. (My parents breed Bernese Mountain dogs and at least three, if not four, of the pups have gone to homes there.)

Bunchkin ~ Hope you are feeling better.

I have to work today, so off to the Angel thread and get ready.

Hi everybody! Welcome :cool1: to Mckymousefn!

::Yawn!:: I'm sleepy! Good nappin' day. Think I'll do that quick. I'm so excited, I looked on the Budget board and saw that by looking at irs.gov you could find out when you were getting your tax refund check and I can't wait to book the airfare for the October trip! Yay

Hope everyone has a fantastic day! And I'm glad you're better Piglet!

Keep steppin' steppers!

Everyone else -- here's somethin' special :flower3:

Good Afternoon Everyone!:flower3: Getting back into the routine of things sure does stink. Once I figure out how to get all my pics on the computer I will definitely post a couple! hopefully this weekend I will get to that! I have a lot of shopping to do for my school supplies. I decided to not shop at the schools bookstore (which is only online). I loaded the list and for 2 classes it would cost me almost $700 in supplies and books. I found the 3 books on Ebay for a total of under $50 as opposed to $200. Now I just need to figure out how to use Ebay. (i'm not very technologically inclined) Mike laughed when I first told him I figured out how to use the Disboard forums! I'm also going to go look at a few halls this weekend so we can set a date for the wedding b/c that is the first question i've been asked by everyone when they find out we got engaged! :goodvibes I'm VERY nervous about being able to afford a wedding and find a place to live within a year. I work for a not-for-profit organization which equals a not so good salary. Mike's is better but still... we are nervous. I suppose people do it all the time! If any of you from the South/SouthWest suburbs know of any reasonably priced halls please let me know!

I'm glad most of you are feeling better! I feel like I have missed so much in just a week!! :scared1:

:welcome: MickeyMouseFn and LK03 ~ hope you come by often!

Everyone else :wave2:

I work for a non-profit org, too! Wouldn't it be wild if we worked at the same one? If you work in a 3 story building that is undergoing major rehab, we are co-workers! I don't know about affordable, but the Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet is nice. I went to a wedding there two summers ago and it was very nice. How about some of the union halls? They seem to have lots of weddings.

LK03 - Sounds like your move is going to go real smooth. Good luck at the job interviews! I think living in Wrigleville would be fun!

Where's Bunchkin? I hope your are OK.

70% chance of rain for ds baseball game tonight. We'll see if the weather forecast is correct.
Lori

Thank you all for the warm welcome! :flower3:

Yes, it does look like we might be getting some rain here sometime soon, DS is suppose to have a game at 5:45pm tonight.. wonder if it will hold out.

Thanks again!:grouphug:

Hi all!

Good thing I wasn't planning on grilling tonight. The weather people were wrong again this morning they said it wouldn't start until after 5:00.

Yesterday's lunch was good we just went to a local family style restaurant.
